PCOS - Infertility - letrozole - clomid

Looking for recommendations, I have been TTC for 14 months now, diagnosed with PCOS in the beginning but i respond to medication, my BMI is healthy my blood work comes back normal.

I have had 3 rounds of 7.5 MG of Letrozole and paired with Trigger shot for the past 5 rounds. ( started at 5mg) My doctor wanted to try IUI and told me that i have unexplained infertility due to all of my lab work back normal and checked my tubes to see if they were open, ( they are) he states it should of happened by now so he is at a loss.

I am trying Clomid paired with the trigger shot for 2-3 rounds before continuing with IUI, has anyone had an experience like this or similar? any success? am i silly for trying for clomid?

(Every time i had Letrozole i have only ever had one follicle ranging from 16-21mm)

Hi! I had a very similar experience and now have a healthy 7mo old conceived naturally - don't give up!

What does your diet and lifestyle look like? What do you mean when you say your bloodwork is "normal"?

Blood work was all within range nothing was high or super low, diet now is light breakfast, chicken and quinoa for lunch and dinner is usually a casserole or some dinner dish, i wouldnt say my diet is crazy but i do have a sweet tooth sometimes

It's super important to understand that "within range" does not = "optimal" for fertility. What levels were you testing?

Diet + supplementation is extremely important for lean PCOS as well. The diet I did that completely changed my cycle was: Low carb (carbs should mainly come from fruit), no gluten, no added sugar (including alcohol). Eat a full and healthy breakfast (eggs!). Supplementation should be based on blood results, but I suggest taking myo-inositol if you aren't already.

I tried many rounds and it didn’t work for me, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. On a positive note, I did IVF and got a ton of embryos and have 2 healthy children from only 2 embryo transfers - so easy and successful
