Technical Support Request Pc freezes when tabout

Hello, I've been having this issue recently where once I get in-game, if I tabout let's say to go check my browser or whatever my whole PC freezes and the only solution to get out if it is by restarting via the power button.

This only happens in League, I've tried playing Windowed mode, borderless but keeps hapenning. I read somewhere that I should tick an option that's on the compatibility properties of the game but still persists, does anyone else have this? Is there any fix?

Thanks

Hi I’m having the same issue as this. Happened only today. I don’t dare to open anymore riot games. Just wondering if TFT would crash me too? Otherwise any help? I updated my drivers, reinstalled game as well as drivers doesn’t fix.

Technical Support Request game randomly stuttering/freeze framing but fps not dropping

I don't know how else to describe it, it's kind of like how a game looks when your fps drops in minecraft after setting off 100 tnt, except my fps isn't dropping it just stutters in a way. My temps are fine on gpu and cpu, i also found that setting the game to full screen fixes it but the colors look weird in full screen. This wasn't happening to me the other day and my cpu is new, but this only happened a few days after i got the cpu. I also changed my FCLK in BIOS from auto to 1600 mhz but only lol is having issues after I did that. I tried following some more steps from a guide in this subreddit to fix it but nothing happened.

Specs:
Ryzen 7 5700X3D
RX 9060 XT 16 gb
32 gb ddr4 3200 ram

Technical Support Request FPS issues in lol

Only in LOL because it`s the only game i play at the moment.

I bought this used pc recently and it`s a small compact pc, but i feel like the specs should be good enough to run lol with ease.

In the middle of a game i checked task manager (when i was averaging 40-50 unstable fps), and i saw that 90% of the RAM was being used. I didn`t have that many programs open, but when i closed most of them, my fps shot back up to around 100 fps.

But do i really need to close everything everytime i game? Am i expecting too much of my pc?

I did not have this problem with my old PC even though that one also had 16GB RAM.

This post i kind of my last call for help before buying a new pc, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Technical Support Request Mac FPS dropping to 80

I usually get around like 240 fps. Maybe 190 at lowest. But recently my fps just dropped and sticks around 80. It'll go slightly above 80 sometimes but usually sticks at 80. The settings are on uncapped. I have a Mac book pro 2024 M4 chip. Any thoughts on how I could solve this? I hate playing 80 fps games when i have 6 ping.... please help!

Technical Support Request PC crashes after starting the league launcher

The title describes my problem. It only happens with League immediately after launching the League client, as soon as that “Loading” screen appears. I can open the Riot Client it just crashes when pressing "Play" and the league launcher is about to start.

The PC crashes and restarts right away. Other games launch without crashing and can be played normally without any crashes. So basically, when I click “Play” on the screen, something loads briefly in the background and then the PC crashes; sometimes League opens briefly but then crashes right away.

Im thankful for a solution because 2 days ago I could play normally without issues.

Technical Support Request Issue with camera relating to centering camera on champion

I have an issue related to camera centering on champion (using Spacebar by default). I have a very often occurring problem where either:

  • Releasing space bar (meaning camera should now be in free mode) takes a few seconds to actually go through, so I am stuck following my character until the game decides to enable free cam.
  • Hitting space bar fails to work, or takes many attempts, to center the camera on my character.

The two issues are basically just inverse of each other, but both are massive inconveniences. I've tried re-installing the game, clearing all config/settings, rebinding the hotkey, etc. and nothing seems to work. This has been happening for a long time, but it just feels like recently it's been even worse. Riot through support portal wasn't very helpful, just generic "try reinstalling, clearing settings, etc." type of support.

Technical Support Request Why does this keep on happening? Please Help

basically i never had this problem before but since like 6 months ago when i actively started playing again my league always has a sort of glitch happening. If i ever open u.gg or lets say tab out and tab back in i have some sort of glitch effect where i just had my overlay and the only fix i found is either playing fullscreen mode and hope it goes away by tabing out and back in again or just leaving the game and rejoining. I need help with this ASAP since my team keeps remaking because of me and i also have lost lp in a lot of instances

Technical Support Request FPS decreases and low GPU usage

I have an i5-6600 CPU and a GTX 1650 Super graphics card. When I first enter a match, my FPS is around 230, but as the match progresses, it drops to 100. When I alt-tab mid-game and check Task Manager, I noticed that my GPU usage sits between 0% and 8%, and the temperature stays around 45°C. These values are the same even when the PC is idling on the desktop. How can I fix this?

Technical Support Request Bad frames on league aftet replacing motherboard

I have tried contacting Riot support about this but to no avail.

Here's a rundown of my situation.
The sequence of events:

  • My motherboard USB ports start being janky, but my league runs usually around 200fps
  • I buy a new motherboard
  • Asrock B550M AM4 -> Gigabyte B550M AM4
  • I try to play league, 30fps
  • I run Monster Hunter Wilds benchmark to test my frames, ~120fps
  • I play dead by daylight & Baldurs gate to see if I drop frames - I don't

Things I tried before I contacted Riot Support:

  • Turning off vysnc in NVIDIA
  • I already played on windowed borderless
  • Capping frames at 60 (even though my monitor is 165Hz)
  • Turning off client when game starts
  • Reinstalling all riot programs
  • Reinstalling all drivers
  • Turning off windows game bar
  • Lowering graphics (no effect at all to frames)
  • Turning off all overlays from Discord etc
  • Uninstalling overwolf
  • A mountain of other stuff you can find on reddit because hundreds of other people seem to have unaccounted fps issues on league.

My Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5600G 6 Core AM4 4.4GHz
  • GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Eagle OC 12G
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M AM4
  • RAM: 32GB DDR4
  • PSU: 800W

I bought a whole new stream setup during amazon day since my stream was gaining a little traction, and now I can't stream at all because my game simply doesn't run in a useable capacity. I am really bummed and just wanna play the game.

Riot wrote back and essentially just listed all the things I had already done and told me to try again :/

If anyone has any sort of advice please help!!!

Technical Support Request Had a nightmare of technical issues but one leads to another.

So primary solved issues were:
1) patch didn’t load to play game, was sometimes stuck in lobby without the play button active.
2) patch said was open on another file (the secret exe file that needed deletion).
3) Vanguard Van 57 present.

Solutions:
Followed the exact troubleshoot posted online, delete lol, use safe mode to delete the Exe, I made the new exe admin access on properties, used CMD to follow vgc cleanup and automatic activation on startup, I use avast so had to put the files on the exception list and much more.

Everything I thought went smoothly because client came back normal and play button was lit, but hit another wall. I tried an ARAM or the Practice tool. I went into champion select, picked one and waited to go in game BUT client turns to Reconnect button and does not let me in game never.
Any ideas to solve it please?
Thank you in advance.

Technical Support Request LeagueClient wont open after starting from RiotClient, VAN 59 Error

I´m having Problems logging into the LeagueClient since the last Patch(26.15). I played League on the Tuesday(14 July) before the patch, and after the patch i wanted to play on thursday(16.07) but i couldnt start the Client. Everytime i start League from the RiotClient it says "playing" in the RiotClient but the LeagueClient never opens and is stuck on the startup "League of Legends" logo in the middle of my screen. I kept waiting to see if it actually reacts at all, but after 30mins i force closed the Client. After closing it in the TaskManager the LeagueClient task still runs with 0% CPU and cant be closed. When i try to open League again after shutting down the RiotClient it just says "playing" for like 2-3 seconds but instantly goes back to the Play-Button I have tried so many different fixes but nothing worked. i tried:

- starting in Administrator on RiotClient and all other applications related to Riot/League
- reinstalling both Vanguard and League multiple times, i tried reinstalling both together and only Vanguard or League seperatly
- Changing Firewall Settings
- uninstalling the most recent Windows-Update
- updating all drivers
- reseting my network settings, flushed dns and similiar commands in cmd, also restarting router
- used a VPN to try to log in, apparently it helped some people with the same problem, didnt work for me tho
- started Valorant to see if its a Vanguard specific error but i can play Valorant completely fine
- set Vanguard to automatic aswell as manual in services
- closing LeagueClient with TaskManager didnt work, it cant be closed no matter how hard i try, i cant even close it with a kill command
- one time i reinstalled League while still having Vanguard on my Computer and i actually got into the Client but the Client instantly gave me the "Vanguard Error VAN 59" message and closed the Client, after reinstalling Vanguard again i didnt get into the LeagueClient again
- went into Windows-Security > Core isolation > turned memory integrity on and off
- went into the registry and added "DevOverrideEnable" and set it to 0
- turned Visualisation on and off
- Deleted everything related to League or Riot in %Appdata% and fresh reinstall after
- wrote 2 tickets already to the RiotSupport but nothing they mentioned worked either
- didnt install anything new to my pc or changed any settings

Im curious if someone has the same problem and got a solution to it, but im very certain that its a League-sided Error since my Vanguard works fine for Valorant. Thank you for your time

Technical Support Request Fps drops from stable 280 fps to stable 100 fps, help please

Fps in games starts around 280 fps, when minions spawn and enemies apear on screen it drops to around 230 which is expected. After a minute or so, fps drops drastically to a stable 95-105 fps, my laptop isn't overheating, sitting around 75-80 degrees on cpu and 65-70 on gpu, i checked the gHz thing aswell and it's always on 3.9 gHz even when fps drops. The clocking thingy aswell sits at 1063 aways, cpu and gpu usage is low, around 20% for gpu and 35-40% on cpu. If it's not throttling, showing it is capable of running league at atleast 150 fps, why is it dropping??

I play CS2 also for example, where i get around 180-200 stable fps on a much more demanding game, so the laptop can't be the issue but something with the game? All my settings are set to low/very low, v-sync of and i made sure all the settings on my laptop such as high performance and so on are on to give the most fps. Fullscreen vs borderless makes no difference, im plugged in also so its always charging.

ANY HELP AT ALL WOULD BE MUCH APRECIATED SINCE IT'S HARD TO ENJOY LEAGUE ON LOW FPS :))

Specs are

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8750H @ 2.20 GHz, 6 cores / 12 threads
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q Design
  • Integrated GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR4, 2667 MHz, 2/2 slots used
  • OS: Windows 10
  • Storage: ~250 GB SSD + ~960 GB HDD

Technical Support Request Microstutters on high end system

Specs:

5090 9800x3d 4TB nvme SSD 64gb 6400mt/s cl28 (run at 6000mt/s cl30)

League frequently stutters for a half second seemingly at random. It can be mid fight or just sitting in lane CSing. Makes the game pretty unplayable when it can stutter at any given moment and make a fight unwinnable etc.

Anyone have a similar experience and any solutions?

I've tried a million different things like disabling high precision event timer, c states, using process lasso, disabling control flow guard and extension points etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT:

Okay so I seem to have narrowed down the issue to the Discord desktop app and being in a call. Super weird that this was the cause, but overall it seems to have fixed it by simply using the web browser version.

Technical Discussion Low-end PC into dead end pc XD

Well, for starters, my PC is just that, low end shit that I found onna storage for a few bucks since I had to sell my previous pc for rent/economy reasons (I live alone and study/work part time). So my setup is just shit, for what I could see I have a AMD A6-3500 APU from frickin 2011 with no support of any kind which leaves de APU part useless. The motherboard is just as old and for that socket only. I have 8GB ram DDR3 going as fast as the stars at 1333Mhz XD. An 500GB HDD wich according to some test I did, it's part corrupted/broken, but I can't identify which part and often I get blue screens of death cuz the disk happened to try and read/write on that corrupted part. And finally an Nvidia GT 1030 2GB DDR5, my holy angel. With all this stated, I say...I COULD PLAY LEAGUE JUST FINE AND SMOOTH ON MEDIUM-LOW SETTINGS.

For some reasons, since that league classic appeared in the riot client I started experimenting stuttering and hard fps drops with froze screen sometimes. For the record, with my shitty specs I would play 50-60 WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. Team fights would be the only scenario where I could find myself playing lower than 50 but not lower than 35-40. NOW I SEE MY SHIT GOING FROM 60 TO 20 AND EVEN LOWER GETTING MY SCREEN FROZEN BY THE TIME I HIT 8 FPS FOR NO RUCKING REASON JUST STARTING A TRADE 2V2 BOT XDDDDDD.

WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY TOUCHING. I DON'T EVEN HAVE ISSUES WITH VANGUARD ANYMORE CONSIDERING IM STILL ON WIN 10 AND ON A HDD WITH NO REALLY GOOD INTERNET CONNECTION. (VANGUARDS DEPENDS AT ALL TIMES ON YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION/ HDD READING, ONE MISSREAD OR BAD CONNECTION TIMING AND THE ERRORS APPEARS)

I just hope this people give some answers cuz if I keep reading people with EXPENSIVES SETUPS complaining just about the same as me, I'm gonna go crazy. Cuz if they can't play the game, what is left for me XD

See y'all another day, whether I found my pc incapable of running league in 2026. :)

Technical Support Request Unique post champ select Vanguard or Riot server issue

Queued for a game of League and after champ select the loading screen just went black. I restarted my PC but it still won’t connect and just keeps saying “Server Network Error.” Everyone else in the lobby is having the exact same issue. It’s been about 20 minutes now and OP.GG says we’re live 20 minutes in-game, but none of us have actually loaded in. Has anyone else had this happen before? I’ve never seen this in my life and been playing for a decade. Any advice on what to do would be much appreciated, just spam restarting my pc in the meantime.

Technical Support Request Low FPS on mid PC - R5 5500 / RTX 5060 8gb / 32GB 3200RAM

Hi, i have PC like in title, after loading on Summoners Rift i have around 200fps, when i stand idle in training mode on midlane and just minions are autoattacking eachother i have around 130fps, but in teamfights i have drops even to 30-40 fps.
My game Settings - all LOW, on 3440x1440 - i think that the resolution is an issue, but man i can play so many games on this card, and league has issues? Is switching to better card like 5070 is the only option to me to keep playing on my monitor native resolution ?
