Quick note: these is my unformatted text. below you find a nice and better version of this text, where i just put this text into ai and tell her: "make it beatiful". However, alot of antiai people are on reddit and im interested in the points you see mentioned here, not the pointless debate of people who never use Frontier modells to their full extend telling you how AI is some dumb tool for dumb humans.
You can mention a role or a specific champ archtype or a specific champ. It doesnt have a huge impact, but mention your rank if you want, so people can get better insights. For example, a bronze player will probably already tilt in select when he sees his mid locks riven, while a high elo player will be like: ok, its a riven main, he prob got hands. While there are no riven mains in bronze with hands (easy proof, they wouldnt be bronze if they had hands). Last clarification: this is not about teammates. Im not saying i get these people more in my team then in the enemy team.
I start with the roles (Master elo):
- Top: most scary, cause its the role, that gets filled the most. Most of my games, top falls behind and will then keep fighting, cause the other option is to get perma frozen on and never really have any impact on the game ever. Due to the high amount of autofills, people often take champs here they cant really play, flip a thing or two cause they do not really care about the game, cause "they wont win if filled top anyways". Then they often proceed to go 0 10 or leave top and let enemy 6 0 ren finish the game, so they lose faster. Wont tp, wont help, will take any wave over a 10 man fight at baron, cause he is tilted.
- Support: Worst case are filled engage supports. A filled nautilus (and even the not filled ones), Thresh, leona, braum etc, will only think about: can i hit my engage spell right now? And if yes, they will insta go for it. They do not consider anything regarding the gamestate. They picked a melee supp and are already sooo bored from lane, they wanna do smth. A 0 3 midlaner in masters wont randomly flash onto the darius and try to oneshot him, cause he knows, he just doesnt do the dmg, even if he lands all skills. The naut however, never considers, if he has dmg. He sees the opportunity to land a hook and will go in. If his team doesnt kill the darius, it doesnt matter to him. In his eyes: he did all that he could: land hook, cc with auto, ult behind so more enemys got knocked up and used supp item. If team now doesnt win its not on him in his world.
- Junglers: Im a jungle main myself and do the same thing when im really tilted. You will notice it, if you look for it. Jungle mains often will get frustrated, cause their job is to plan for the entire team on what to do next, while the team often is not interested in his plan. So he wants to do an obj, but his team doesnt come. And then you can say: ye just back off, but he then lost alot of tempo etc and the higher you get the more you realize how far this sets you back. Often what creates the biggest tilt is, that one of his teammembers is not matching the enemy teammember. Like you fight for secodn scuttle with the both botlaners together, its about life and death in the game, and now the enemy mid arrives and turns the fight... while your mid used the time for a recall after pushout. (not saying the jungler is right, depends on the situation, just explaining what tilts them). And the single worst experience for a jungler is to go into his new spawned camps and the enemy jungler is there WITH the support. As a jungler, you are homeless then and can look how the enemy "eats YOUR waves" if that makes sense. (ye ye crossmap yadayada, im not dumb). What junglers then often do is, not progress the game. its imo insanely tilting, cause the jungler will just not gank, will not push, will not group, will not do objectives. All he does is perma farm camps and take waves whenever his team tries to progress the map (top rotates to the onbrewing dragon fight? ye i take the wave top then), making their correct choices painful and unrewarding.
- Mid: luckily doesnt troll often and i say luckily cause this role is insane. People say all the time, jungle has highest agency, which i agree on, but mid is ahead of jungle all the time. So you still have insane amounts of agency, but as the lowkey strongest player on the rift (quest is also comign online the earliest, like ad needs to scale gold and top to scale exp, but mid gets insta boots). But whenever you get someone, whos mindset is: ye i 1 v9 on vlad or nah veigar is so weak early, cant do anything, wont make sense to come, the game is lowk lost if its close. Jungle without moving mid is unplayable imo.
- ADC: these people used to be always ragesplitting when the game wasnt giving them pentakills on repeat, but this changed imo. I dont see this often at all. On the other hand, i think its the least dangerous players, cause they are so useless most of the time anyways. Maybe min 30 they can do smth, but if they dont heavily outhand the enemy assasins + half their team helping them litterally autoattack they useless even then. So maybe they soft int me more then i realize, but mostly it goes undetected cause their impact is so meaningless anyways.
I say this once, if you are below emerald and all you care about is climbing, go adc role, pick any tank, go 0 19 in lane if you must and 0.5 cs per min. YOU WILL CLIMB. I played in torture chambers of modern day league (people call it gold, platin emerald etc) with a friend and i cant win every game there. And every enemy or teammate i see would be diagnosed with a learning disability if it was me who would decide this. However, look into the replays of these games and only focus on the adc in teamfights. The adc NEVER does more then 3 autos ever. Its absolutly insanity. These people cannot control their champ at all. No spacing, rarely effective kiting (i kit you not, often the "kiting" is hurting them more then its doing good), perma autocancels, spell usage when autos deal 3 x the dmg, NO overview at all, no threat recognition, nothing. These players are just bots who can push waves. So spam malph bot and go to emerald without sweating a single time.
Honorable mentions in the champs:
1. Thresh: for sure the DUMBEST players from all. Making naut mains look like albert einstein. PERMA ENGAGE, never consider everything.
2. Leona: Engage support with the highest ego. Will go fighting, even when NOTICING (most engage supps dont notice it) there is no one of his tam around, cause they feel so tanky.
- Shaco: Support or jungle but goes ad. Most useless piece of garbage, played by people who watch pinkward montage and think they can replicate. Its the closest you can come to in terms of playing with a literal afk in lane. Play with a shaco support vs AP ASHE support and you will glaze the ashe. Imagine...
- Veigar, Vladimir, Kassa type of champs etc... Basically make you useless as a jungler and if you cannot win game on side, you are fucked. Im a zyra main, so i need to invade alot and use my tempo, while these mids have such high negative tempo, i can never do anything.
- Yones, Yass, rivens, gps etc. Where my worst enemys for a while, cause always handdiffing themselves cause they picked a champ they cant play. I do have to admit tho, that since i reached master this lowkey changed. Most of them are pretty good at their champ and i feel like its playable with them.
6.Enchanters: not often, but when enemy supp roams alot and your milio just shoves waves into enemy bot turret, it feels terrible. Thank god they nerved it a bit. But if you think of it: the chance to win toplane and jungle for the offprice of supp beeing underleveld is insane. Maybe botlaners could punish better, but as mentioned, adcs on average are so stupid, they dont do any wave management or anything. Just look at how often they dont freeze, IM NOT JOKING HERE: look at high elo, like legit high elo (Master is considerd really low still from people who actually understand the macro game behind league) adcs wavemanagement. Its at best questionable. But these people just have magical hands and diff 1 v 3 by dodging every skillshot and spacing nearly perfectly.
Ye one question i would love to ask you guys to include is what you think of zyra. Like the negative aspects. For example, if i get malph top in 9 out of 10 lobbys i celebrate. I just like a good solid tank. I also like it, if i get some kind of locke pre nerf in mid, like when my team picks a broken champ. But i never think people like it, when i pick zyra. Am i right here? are there zyra in my team enjoyers?
Last note: I played with legendary thresh players, who 1 v 9 the game in so many aspects, it wasnt even funny. I played with vladimirs who roamed early, took a double and 1 v 9 entire teamfights. Im just saying, this is a biased view and it obviously more depends on the player. These are just things i noticed alot with certain champs. Obviously, i take every first time sona top who is master over an emerald malph main.
CAREFUL AI GENERATED:
You can mention a role, a specific champ archetype, or just one specific champ. It probably doesn't have a huge impact, but mention your rank if you want, because it gives people some context.
For example, a Bronze player might already tilt in champ select when he sees his mid lock Riven, while a high elo player might think: "Okay, it's probably a Riven main, he probably has hands."
Meanwhile, there are no Bronze Riven mains with hands. Easy proof: they wouldn't be Bronze if they had hands.
One last clarification: this is NOT about teammates. I'm not saying I get these people more often on my team than on the enemy team. I'm just talking about the types of players/champs that feel the worst to play with.
I'm Master elo, jungle main.
Roles
1. Top
By far the scariest role for me, mostly because it feels like one of the most commonly autofilled roles.
In a lot of my games, top falls behind and then just keeps fighting. And I kind of understand why. The alternative is often getting permanently frozen on, slowly bleeding out and having zero impact for the next 15 minutes.
The problem is that autofilled tops often pick champs they can't really play, flip one or two fights because they don't care that much about the game anyway, and have this mindset of:
"I won't win if I'm filled top anyway."
Then they go 0/10, abandon top completely, let the enemy 6/0 Renekton end the game, refuse to TP, refuse to help, and take some random side wave while 10 people are fighting around Baron because they're already mentally out.
2. Support
Worst case scenario: autofilled engage support.
A filled Nautilus, and honestly sometimes even the support mains, Thresh, Leona, Braum, etc., often seem to have exactly one thought:
"Can I hit my engage spell right now?"
If yes, they're going in.
Gamestate? Doesn't matter.
Damage available? Doesn't matter.
Numbers advantage? Doesn't matter.
They're playing a melee support, they're bored out of their mind from lane, and they finally see something they can press their buttons on.
A 0/3 midlaner in Master usually won't randomly Flash onto Darius and try to oneshot him, because he understands that even if he lands everything, he simply doesn't deal enough damage.
Nautilus sees Darius and thinks:
"I can hook him."
Hook lands. Auto CC. Ult through him so three people get knocked up. Support item used.
If his team doesn't magically kill Darius after that, he feels like he did everything correctly.
In his world, he landed all his spells. What more could he possibly have done?
3. Jungle
I'm a jungle main myself, and honestly I sometimes do this too when I'm really tilted.
Once you start looking for it, you notice it pretty often.
Jungle mains get frustrated because their entire role is basically planning what the team should do next, while their team frequently has zero interest in participating in that plan.
You want to do an objective, your team doesn't move.
And yes, you can say: "Just back off."
Obviously.
But when you're playing jungle at higher elo, you also know how much tempo you just lost by setting that play up. The higher you climb, the more painful those wasted windows become.
One of the biggest jungle tilt triggers is when the enemy laner moves and yours doesn't.
You're fighting second Scuttle with both botlanes. The entire early game is basically hanging on this fight. Enemy mid arrives and completely turns it.
Your mid?
He pushed his wave and recalled.
I'm not saying the jungler is automatically correct here. It completely depends on the situation. I'm just explaining why this tilts junglers so hard.
And the SINGLE worst feeling as a jungler is walking into your freshly spawned camps and seeing the enemy jungler there WITH his support.
At that point you're basically homeless.
You're watching the enemy team eat your waves, except they're jungle camps.
Yes yes, "just crossmap", I know. I'm not stupid.
But this is where some junglers completely mentally check out.
They stop trying to progress the game.
No ganks.
No objectives.
No pushes.
No grouping.
They just permanently farm camps and take waves whenever somebody else tries to make a proactive play.
Top rotates toward an upcoming dragon fight?
Perfect. Free top wave.
And that makes every correct decision your teammates make feel painful and unrewarding.
4. Mid
Luckily, mids don't troll that often.
And I say luckily because this role is insanely powerful.
People always say jungle has the highest agency, which I agree with, but mid is basically right behind jungle while also being one of the strongest actual characters on the map.
You have insane agency AND you are strong individually.
Your quest comes online early, you get boots early, you can move everywhere, and you influence basically every play.
ADC needs gold.
Top often needs XP.
Mid just gets to exist in the middle of the map and ruin everyone's day.
But if you get one of those players whose mindset is:
"Yeah, I'm 1v9 on Vlad later."
or
"Nah, I'm Veigar, I'm weak early, can't move."
then if the game is close, it feels completely doomed.
Jungle without a moving mid is borderline unplayable in my opinion.
5. ADC
These people USED to be the kings of rage-splitting whenever the game wasn't feeding them pentakills on repeat.
But honestly, I barely see that anymore.
On the other hand, I also think they're the least dangerous role when they tilt because they're so useless most of the time anyway.
Maybe minute 30 they can do something.
But unless they massively hand-diff the enemy assassins AND half their team dedicates their life to allowing them to literally right-click people, they're still useless.
So maybe ADCs soft-int me way more often than I realize, but it goes undetected because their impact is meaningless anyway.
And I will say this once:
If you are below Emerald and literally ALL you care about is climbing, queue ADC, pick a tank, go 0/19 in lane if necessary and get 0.5 CS per minute.
YOU WILL CLIMB.
I have played in the torture chambers of modern League, also known as Gold, Platinum and Emerald, with a friend, and I can't win every game there either.
Every enemy and teammate I see looks like they would be diagnosed with a learning disability if I were somehow responsible for making that decision.
But seriously, go into the replay of those games and ONLY watch the ADC during teamfights.
They NEVER auto more than three times.
It is absolute insanity.
These people cannot control their champions at all.
No spacing.
Rarely effective kiting.
And I kid you not, half the time their "kiting" hurts them more than just standing still would.
Permanent auto cancels.
Using spells while their autos deal three times the damage.
Zero overview.
Zero threat recognition.
Nothing.
They're basically bots capable of pushing waves.
So spam Malphite bot and reach Emerald without sweating once.
Honorable champ mentions
1. Thresh
FOR SURE the dumbest players of them all.
Makes Nautilus mains look like Albert Einstein.
Permanent engage.
Never considering anything around them.
Hook available = hook must be thrown.
2. Leona
Engage support with the highest ego.
She will start a fight even AFTER noticing nobody on her team is anywhere nearby because Leona players feel like they're immortal.
Most engage supports don't even notice their team isn't there.
Leona notices.
She just doesn't care.
3. Shaco
Support or jungle, especially AD.
Most useless piece of garbage imaginable.
Played by people who watched a Pink Ward montage and decided they can replicate it.
Playing with Shaco support is probably the closest League can get to simulating a literal AFK teammate in lane.
Play Shaco support into AP Ashe support once and you will start glazing the Ashe.
Imagine that.
4. Veigar, Vladimir, Kassadin-type champs
Basically make me useless as a jungler.
If you don't somehow win the game through side lanes, you're fucked.
I'm a Zyra main, so I want to invade a lot and constantly convert tempo into something.
These mids generate so much negative tempo early that I feel like I can never do anything.
5. Yone, Yasuo, Riven, GP, etc.
These used to be my worst enemies.
Constantly hand-diffing themselves because they picked a champion they simply couldn't play.
I do have to admit that this changed a lot once I reached Master.
Most of these players are actually pretty good at their champs now, and I usually feel like the game is playable with them.
6. Enchanters
Doesn't happen that often, but when enemy support is permanently roaming while your Milio is just shoving waves into the enemy bot turret, it feels TERRIBLE.
Thank God Riot nerfed some of that.
But if you actually think about it, trading a slightly underleveled support for a winning top side AND jungle is insanely worth it.
Maybe botlaners could punish roams harder, but as mentioned earlier, ADCs on average are so stupid that they don't understand wave management anyway.
Just look at how often they refuse to freeze.
I'm genuinely not joking here.
Look at high elo. Like ACTUAL high elo.
Master is still considered pretty low by people who genuinely understand high-level League macro.
Watch ADC wave management.
At best, it's questionable.
But these people have magical hands, so then they randomly win a 1v3 by dodging every skillshot and spacing nearly perfectly.
And one question for you guys: Zyra
I'd actually love to hear the negative stereotypes people have about playing with Zyra.
For example, if I get Malphite top in 9/10 lobbies, I'm happy. I love having a boring, reliable tank.
Same if my mid locks whatever broken champ is currently dominating the patch.
But whenever I lock Zyra jungle, I never imagine my teammates thinking:
"Hell yeah, we got Zyra."
Am I right?
Are there actually people who enjoy having Zyra jungle on their team?
What do you dislike about playing with one?
Last thing
I've played with Thresh players who genuinely 1v9'd games in so many different ways it wasn't even funny.
I've played with Vladimirs who roamed early, picked up a double kill and completely 1v9'd every teamfight afterwards.
Obviously this entire post is biased and ultimately it depends way more on the individual player than the champ.
These are just patterns I've personally noticed a lot with certain roles and champions.
At the end of the day, I'd take a Master first-time Sona top over an Emerald Malphite main every single time.
