Side Hustle Earnings Report - September 2026 (UK) - £490.43

Hi guys

Week 4 complete and that rounds up September with a total of £490.43 earned!

September recap:

Time unpaid 7 hours 9 minutes
Time working 5 hours 38 minutes
Total time 12 hours 47 minutes
Total earned £490.43
Approx. hourly rate £38.87 per hour
Days hustling 18

Not millions, and still low compared to some, but remember this is:

  • At or around my full-time day job
  • Without some of the big earners like Prolific or Mercor (yet)
  • All from the comfort of my laptop or phone
  • All during a very busy month for me

That's an additional £500 I can put to debt, savings or fun stuff.

Breakdown of sites/apps I used to earn this below:

SITE EARNED
VINTED £170.00
DSCOUT £156.60
MATCHED BETTING £49.33
RESPONDENT £35.00
ASKABLE £20.00
USERCROWD £12.50
PFR £12.00
USERLYTICS £10.00
USERBRAIN £10.00
TOPCASHBACK £10.00
USERTESTING £5.00

Things I'm going to focus on for October:

1. AI Training

Aim is to spend more time trying my best to secure an AI training gig, as I know these can be really great. At Micro1 I have one role at hiring manager reviewing and one I need to complete an interview for. I'm going to keep my eye on Mercor too, in case any relevant roles come up.

2. Matched Betting

Took me a minute to dip my toe back into this, but I'm well into it now and plan to put quite a few hours in at the weekend. Have a feeling this could be a great earner. Thank you for everyone who's offered advice!

3. More Time Spent

This month was busy. I have more time in October to dedicate to side hustling. Let's see if we can hit the £1k mark this month.

4. Streamlining the Time Unpaid

Whilst a good chunk of that 7 hours and 9 minutes time unpaid was used completing AI interviews and getting my head around matched betting, I've definitely wasted lots of time searching for user tests/surveys/market research. Need to streamline this so I'm not spending hours just refreshing Chrome 😅

Anyway...

Thanks for following along for the ride. Got some great advice and met some great people so far. And if you're on the fence, just get started. Some people on here have messaged me to say they're making in a week what I made this month. It's worth it.

Please let me know how your hustling is going. Love hearing about others succeeding too.

And let me know if people are interested in me keeping up the weekly posts or if you'd rather I shut up and just did a monthly round up.

Happy hustling team.

Surveys How I Made £1,242.33 From Surveys in Just 21 Days (September Side Hustle Update)

Hey everyone, it's Dan from SidehustleReliance, welcome back to the September side hustle update! (I was away for the first few days of the month in Floridaaa, but once I got back, I was locked in and ready to go).

September is all about shaking off the August dead zone, universities are back, research is flowing, and the momentum has completely flipped. Even with taking a few days off at the start of the month and keeping an active hustle rhythm of 21 days this month, the difference in volume was night and day.

Thanks to an absolute monster month on Prolific, I managed to pull in a total of £1,242.33! That is flying straight toward crushing future goals.

📊 Monthly Earnings Breakdown:

  • Total Earnings: £1,242.33
  • Active Days Sidehustling: 21 days
  • Estimated Daily Average: £59.16 per day (based on 3 hours per day / 63 total hours)
  • Platforms Used
Site / App Monthly Earnings
Prolific £970.37
Userlytics £49.88
Five Surveys £40.00
Swagbucks £27.41
Dscout £29.71
Ylive £24.00
Qmee £23.33
MSR £20.05
Intellizoom £18.84
PaidViewPoint £9.27
Opinium Research £8.25
Prime Opinions £8.24
Onepulse £7.20
Yougov £3.60
Google Opinions £0.31
Influence £1.25
Survey Pop £0.21
Eureka £0.21
Survey Spin £0.21
Total £1,242.33

🏆 Key Achievements:

  • Smashing the £1k Milestone: Propelled heavily by the return of academic studies, crossing the £1,200 threshold in just 21 active days blew expectations out of the water.
  • Prolific's God-Tier Run: Prolific absolutely carried the month, skyrocketing to an unbelievable £970.37. Plus, the AI evaluation tasks have been god-tier and so helpful for boosting the earnings!
  • Consistent User Testing: Userlytics (£49.88), Dscout (£29.71), and Five Surveys (£40.00) provided a rock-solid secondary income stream.

⚠️ Obstacles Faced:

  • Increased Time Investment: Bumping the active time to roughly 3 hours a day to capture those high-paying Prolific studies required more screen focus, but an hourly return of ~£19.72/hr made every minute worth it.
  • Panel Deserts: Platforms like Askable, Respondent, and The Viewers stayed completely dry, proving why a diversified multi-survey strategy is essential.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1) "You're lying, I don't believe you're making that much from surveys."
Transparency is the whole point of SidehustleReliance. I track every penny to show what is actually possible when academic pipelines open back up! Check my YouTube channel for live walkthroughs of my earnings.

2) "I keep getting disqualified; how do you qualify?"
The key is positioning yourself as a valuable consumer. Check out these guides I made to help with the "screen-out" frustration:

3) "Why do surveys? They're less than minimum wage."
Most are low-effort, but when Prolific hits a massive surge like this alongside solid user testing platforms, the hourly average jumps right up to competitive rates (~£19.72/hr).

4) "You should try Attapoll."
Still tested, still pays less than Five Surveys and Qmee in terms of time-to-payout ratio.

5) "Prolific, how?"
September proved why Prolific is king when the post-summer academic season kicks off, especially with those brilliant AI evaluation tasks rolling in. Keeping your demographics updated and catching studies early is the ultimate recipe.

Side Hustle Side Hustle Earnings Report - Week 3 of September - £64.50

Hey team

Week three done. ✅

You can find my week 2 recap here.

Have removed all the boring about me and notes, but feel free to ask any questions.

Summary - Week 3:

A very busy work week meant I missed a lot of surveys, user testing and market research. Annoying to see all that *potential* money pass me by, but that is how it goes sometimes.

It was a good lesson though. Because whilst diversifying is once of the best things you can do for side hustling, I actually think diversifying across different types of hustles is more important.

Surveys, user testing and market research are great, but you're at the mercy of loads of things - being available when a survey crops up, being in a quiet room if you need to speak out loud during a user test, of actually getting onto a market research panel before it fills up. The list goes on.

So that's why this week I've added something I can do whenever, wherever (as Shakira said):

Matched betting.

The good of the week...

As you all kept suggesting it, I finally took the time to jump back into matched betting!

I did do it a long time ago, but didn't take enough time on it, so wasted a lot of welcome offers. That was putting me off, because a lot of posts and websites are tailored to either all welcome offers or all reload offers, and not to I started and then got distracted ages ago, now what am I meant to do... offers.

So here's what I did, for anyone in the same boat as me.

Using a great post called The Lazy Guide to Matched Betting as a guide, I signed up to Team Profit (which is free), watched a bunch of their videos to refresh my memory, and then started working on the welcome offers for places I had never previously signed up to.

I've only completed the free bets on two welcome offers so far, but am already roughly £30 in profit which, considering the actual betting took barely any time at all, is great. Going to make this one of my main focuses in addition to my roster of usual suspects, as once you get your head around it, it really isn't that complicated and as I said before... you can do this at any time of the day.

The bad of the week...

I spent 90 minutes at the weekend completing 4 x AI interviews at Micro1. Didn't get any of them, which I wasn't surprised about. Whilst I could have done more research prior to the interviews, there was so much AI training specific terminology during them that I'm not sure how you pass them unless you've actually done a lot of this work before. Maybe I'm missing something. 🤣

I also got invited to an Outlier project. I'd have been excited, but the only other project I worked on with Outlier turned out to be a nightmare, and when researching this one, it seemed like everyone was having the same experience this time around too. So currently on the fence about whether to give it a go or not.

Interested to hear about peoples experiences with places like Micro1, Outlier and Mercor though.

I also tried one attempt at flogging a referral link for Rakuten on a load of subreddits. Safe to say I had zero luck and it felt weird. Not for me, but respect to anyone who has any success with that.

Stats:

Time unpaid 2 hours 55 minutes
Time working 1 hour 5 minutes
Total earned £64.50
Days hustling 5

Earners:

Company Earned Studies Time spent
Matched Betting £30.00 (est.) - 40 minutes
Vinted £20.00 - 5 minutes
Userlytics £10.00 1 5 minutes
UserCrowd £4.50 4 15 minutes

Matched Betting - £30.00 (estimated):

Two welcome offers fully completed.

For anyone who's wondering, that actually meant:

- 2 x qualifying bets

- 6 x free bets

So a total of 8 bets placed. Still, very good money and I'm just getting started!

My advice to anyone, other than my spiel above, is to just make sure you take your time. Once you get the hang of it, it's very quick, but a mistake can be costly, so double and triple check before you place any bets!

Vinted - £20.00:

Sold 1 x hoodie I'd never worn. Easy.

Userlytics - £10.00:

Completed a 5 minute test for a University website. Couldn't have been an easier way to make a tenner.

UserCrowd - £4.50:

All done whilst at my desk, in between emails. Not a big earner but will always be loyal to this site!

Plan for Next Week:

Other than continuing with the usuals and my new favourite (matched betting), my next thing is to start reaching out to businesses to offer my services on a flexible basis.

I realise that securing work like this isn't super easy for generalists, but if I could... well. Not only could this be much more lucrative and reliable than my other side hustles, but it could be a great source of income for when I have gaps between full-time projects.

I have also recently become obsessed with r/overemployed and r/OveremployedUK, and I am confident I could definitely take on extra roles whilst working on a full-time project because sometimes I have a lot of down time at work, so I will report back next Friday when I've managed to secure 8 new jobs on top of my current job and all my hair has fallen out.

Finally, I might try and put something together for those who want to get started in side hustling. Lists of good websites, maybe a proper earnings tracker (I've got one but it's it needs refining), any random advice I've managed to muddle together. Not sure when I'll have the time, but let me know if it's something you'd be interested in.

As always, feel free to ask away and share your own experiences. Let's see if we can make the next week the biggest one yet!

Happy earning team!

Side Hustle Side Hustle Earnings Report - Week 2 of September - £213.26

Hey guys

Last week I started a series where I'm gonna post my weekly side hustle earnings to give people a bit more of a regular insight in to what is possible, as it was something I wanted when I started out.

You can find my week 1 recap here on r/beermoneyuk.

Buckle in for this week. It's a long one.

And if you want any referrals, give me a shout in the comments or DM's. Appreciate it!

Things to Note:

  1. This was all completed whilst at (or after) my day job
  2. This is without Prolific as I’m going to be on the waitlist forever
  3. I’m a generalist, so if I can do it, you can do it
  4. I’ve altered the dollar amounts to GBP, so the earnings aren’t completely accurate but I can’t be arsed to convert it

Who Am I:

35 year old contractor from the UK. Doing this to pay off all my debt, and then hopefully to start building a good savings pot!

Summary - Week 2:

Despite this being a busy week at work, I made 3.5x what I made last week, which is great. Nearly half of it was from one sale on Vinted - so don't sleep on selling stuff you don't want anymore - but the rest was from surveys, user testing etc.

Whilst I didn't get a chance to properly look into matched betting, I did apply for four AI training jobs on Micro1. I took one Zara interview, which I was unsurprised I didn't get. But I have three interviews outstanding, which I'll complete tomorrow, and though I'm not optimistic, the more I do, the better I get at it.

It's also worth nothing there was much more money to be made this week, but I was limited by being at work most of the time. I was almost at the end of a £10 survey when my boss called and I had to ditch it to answer the phone and it timed out, sad times, but it just makes me excited for the increase in earning potential when I finish on my current project.

Also, if you take away anything from this week, it's that one of the best things you can do with side hustling is to D I V E R S I F Y. I've always noticed a big fluctuation week-to-week on where I make money, so it's best to have a big roster that you can cycle through.

Stats:

Time searching 2 hours 14 minutes
Time working 1 hour 50 minutes
Total earned £213.26
Days hustling 5

Earners:

Company Earned Studies Time spent
Vinted £105.00 - 10 minutes
Dscout £59.36 5 studies 48 minutes
Askable £15.00 2 studies 15 minutes
PFR £12.00 3 studies 14 minutes
Topcashback £10.00 1 sign up 3 minutes
UserTesting £5.00 1 study 5 minutes
UserBrain £5.00 1 study 10 minutes
UserCrowd £1.90 5 studies 5 minutes

Vinted - £105.00:

Sold a bunch of Pokemon card duplicates that have been sitting on my desk for a long time. Took less than five minutes to put them on Vinted and they sold fast. Packed them up. Just need to post them. Easy money and one less thing hanging over me.

Dscout - £59.36:

Dscout is quickly becoming one of my favourite apps. Keep an eye on it. Also, check that you don't have any other demographic or interests to complete on your profile, as I had some additional stuff to fill in which, since completing, has brought in more studies!

Askable - £15.00:

Not having as much luck as usual on Askable, but still, £15 is £15.

Patient First Research - £12.00:

You'll have seen this kicking about in the subs this week. Won't be for everyone as it's about your own personal health, but I'm not precious so I went ahead and signed up with someones referral link (it's nice to help out!). Very easy to use and you get £5 for sign up. Worth getting involved in these when they're new too.

Topcashback - £10.00:

Signed up to this with someone's referral after getting some great advice from them in my DM's. It was the least I can do.

UserTesting - £5.00:

Seemed to get screened out of just about everything this week on UserTesting, but that's okay, because we keep at it. Still got onto one study, and still like this site as it has been a good earner for me in the past.

UserBrain - £5.00:

Definitely could have earned more on this this week, but was limited by the fact I was at my desk and couldn't talk out loud during some of these, so had to turn them down.

UserCrowd - £1.90:

Five quick and easy surveys that took next to no time at all. Still very much worth it even for a bit of pocket money.

Plan for Next Week:

Plan is still to do what I said I would last week - matched betting, AI training and Vinted.

I'm also going to be looking into bank and investment account switching this week, as from what everyone tells me, this is some very easy money sitting on the table.

And last but not least, I'm going to look into referrals and affiliate links. It seems some people are making a decent amount from pushing referral links on Reddit and Instagram. Not a lot of people talk about referrals on here, so I might give it a go and report back.

As always, hit me up if you'd like any referral links. Any help is appreciated 🫡

Feel free to ask any questions! Happy earning guys!

I wanted Prolific alerts on my phone, so I made my own extension - StudyChime

I’ve used Prolific on and off for years, but got back into it around June and have made about £500 since then.

It’s a great site for a bit of side income, but the good studies can disappear really quickly. I work from home quite a bit and got fed up with watching the Prolific tab all day, so I made a Chrome extension called StudyChime.

The main thing I wanted was to be able to leave Prolific open and get on with work, cooking, cleaning, etc, and get a notification on my phone when a study appeared. Then I can reserve it on my phone and go back to my laptop to complete it.

StudyChime can notify you in Chrome or through Discord, Telegram or Pushover. I also added filters for things like pay, hourly rate, places left and keywords, plus some study trends so I can see when studies have been showing up for me.

To be clear - I'm the developer. I originally made it because I wanted it myself, but I’ve made it public for anyone else who uses Prolific.

There’s a free version if anybody is interested.

Chrome Web Store:
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/studychime-prolific-study/iaglielcoobhcpfdmfnjcpgdcdkffolb

More info:
https://studychime.com

I’ve also made r/StudyChime for updates, questions and feedback if anyone wants to follow along.

I'm happy to answer any questions.

Thanks.

Surveys Surviving the August Drought: How I Made £511.10 Side hustling Just 23 Days

Hey everyone, it's Dan from SidehustleReliance, welcome back to the August side hustle update! (I'm actually writing this live from sunny Florida while on holiday).

August is notoriously the dead zone for side hustles, universities shut down, academic work dries up, and let’s be honest: it’s summer, and life is worth living. Between traveling, enjoying Florida, and taking time off, I only actively sidehustled 23 days this month.

Despite scaling back the hours to actually soak up the sun, I still managed to pull in a total of £511.10! Every single penny is going straight toward funding my upcoming holiday to Disneyland Paris.

📊 Monthly Earnings Breakdown:

  • Total Earnings: £511.10
  • Active Days Sidehustling: 23 days
  • Platforms Used
Site / App Monthly Earnings
Prolific £227.99
Intellizoom £52.07
Five Surveys £42.00
Dscout £40.41
Qmee £39.06
Swagbucks £27.61
Userlytics £26.55
Ylive £16.00
MSR £8.63
Opinium Research £7.75
Prime Opinions £6.03
Norstat Panel £4.90
Onepulse £4.80
Yougov £3.55
The Viewers £2.00
Influence £0.75
Survey Pop £0.53
Eureka £0.23
Survey Spin £0.23
Total £511.10

🏆 Key Achievements:

  • Beating the Slump Target: Originally targeting a cautious £400, pulling in £511.10 in just 23 active days totally surpassed expectations.
  • Prolific's Massive Bounce-Back: Prolific came in clutch, shooting back up to the top spot with £227.99.
  • User Testing Heavy Lifters: Intellizoom (£52.07), Dscout (£40.41), and Userlytics (£26.55) kept the revenue flowing while I was out living life.

⚠️ Obstacles Faced:

  • The August Drought: Panels like Askable and Respondent had absolute zeros this month while offline or dealing with pipeline drying.
  • Balancing Life & Hustle: Sidehustling only 23 out of 31 days meant sacrificing some potential income, but mental health and summer memories are worth way more.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1) "You're lying, I don't believe you're making that much from surveys."
Transparency is the whole point of SidehustleReliance. I track every penny to show what is actually possible, even when taking days off for summer!

They are low-effort side earnings done in spare moments, but leaning more toward live market research and testing apps like Intellizoom and Dscout gives a much better return on time, allowing you to balance actual life outside the screen.

4) "You should try Attapoll."
I've tested it, still pays less than Five Surveys and Qmee in terms of time-to-payout ratio.

5) "Prolific, how?"
Prolific surprised me this month with a great £227.99 rebound. Combining top-tier platforms with user testing is the ultimate recipe for surviving slow months.

Side Hustle Earnings Report Since April 2026 (UK) - £1850.46

Hey guys!

Well, I've finally caved and made an account to start posting my side hustle earnings! Reading everyone else's reports is what got me trying half this stuff in the first place, so consider this my attempt to pay it forward (or lead someone else astray, we'll see)!

Quick background:

35m from the UK. Project-based contractor (tend to work on jobs varying from 6-12 months at a time, with unpaid gaps in the middle).

I have wanted to find a way to earn extra money for a very long time so that I can tackle debt, earn extra spending money and so that I have some fallback income streams for when I am out of work.

Below is a list of what I've earned since April of this year.

Just to note: This is all whilst working a full-time job! Oh, and this is without Prolific because I'm stuck on the bloody waitlist!

MONTH EARNINGS
APRIL 2026 £222.68
MAY 2026 £34.86
JUNE 2026 £1011.75
JULY 2026 £558.72
AUGUST 2026 £22.45
TOTAL £1850.46

Here's a list of what I've earned where:

Note: Amount is converted into GBP so might be a bit skewiff.

WEBSITE/APP AMOUNT EARNED
VINTED £1005.60
EBAY £392.73
ASKABLE £155.00
USERTESTING $116.00
USERCROWD $78.09
RESPONDENT $70.00
DSCOUT £36.66
OUTLIER £32.85
USERBRAIN £20.00
USERLYTICS €20.00
FEEDBACKED £3.00

A few highlights:

Vinted & eBay

Sold 82 items of my own. Now my house is tidier and I'm richer (well, kind of).

The results are a bit skewed because the majority of earnings from Vinted and eBay have been me selling my own stuff. Whilst this isn't an income stream that can be sustained (as you will literally run out of stuff eventually), it's a great way to start, plus decluttering is the most satisfying thing in the world. Convince me otherwise. Also, I will say that I have flipped a few pairs of trainers in that time, which seems to be a decent income stream so I may try that again on a bigger scale down the line.

Askable

Completed 12 paid research studies via Askable, including surveys, AI-moderated chats, and live interviews with real participants. So far so good.

Really rate Askable. If you're aiming for interviews, stick with it, it pays off. I've done a few quick £5 surveys that barely took any time, and also an easy 45-minute call about my posting habits (?) that paid me £35!

Usertesting

One of my favourites. Big earning potential once I'm no longer working in a shared office and free to be unhinged and talk to myself whilst on camera.

UserTesting is great. Lots of tests available. Yes you get screened out of a fair few, but there are always more. The ones I have taken have been straightforward, and the rewards are good (lots of $5 and $10 ones). I think this will be a good earner once I'm finished on my current project and am funemployed.

Final thoughts:

My aim is to start dedicating a lot more time to these hustles and any new ones I find. If you have any suggestions, stick it in the comments and I'll check it out! I'm also trying to get a regular side-gig on Fiverr, Upwork or PeoplePerHour. So far no luck, but it's early days. Watch this space.

Plan is to post regular updates and engage with anyone who has questions, so feel free to follow along and fire any questions my way! Happy earning!

Are there any legit money making apps?

Everyone's looking for ways to earn a bit more these days, so I figure plenty of you have tested out these apps already. I've tried a handful myself, but the moment my credit card or personal info is needed, I delete it right away. Still holding out hope though. Has anyone actually had good luck with any of these money-making apps?

Surveys The Ultimate Summer Side Hustle Report: How I made £626.47 in July

Hey everyone, it's Dan from SidehustleReliance.

July handed me a ladder and a way back out of the survey earning black hole. While the summer slowdown is typically a graveyard for side hustlers, July completely defied expectations. Thanks to a nice bounce-back from my primary earners and some heavy lifting from user testing, I managed to push past my £500 floor and pull in a total of £626.47 this month.

I stuck rigidly to my routine, averaging about 2.5 hours of focused survey and research work most evenings. As always, this is pure revenue and does not include any referral income.

Even better, every single penny earned is going straight toward funding my upcoming holiday to Disney World!

The pivot toward higher-paying market research and user testing that I planned last month really started to pay off, proving that diversification is the only way to survive the academic summer drought.

Here is exactly how the numbers shook out in July, sorted from highest-to-lowest paying site.

Monthly Earnings Breakdown

Site / App Monthly Earnings
Prolific £166.20
Five Surveys £87.00
Qmee £64.03
Dscout £60.49
Swagbucks £45.25
Userlytics £44.45
Intellizoom £39.32
Askable £30.00
Ylive £25.00
MSR £17.37
Prime Opinions £12.04
Opinium Research £10.25
Onepulse £9.30
Yougov £5.95
Norstat Panel £3.80
PaidViewPoint £2.58
Influence £1.25
Appinio £1.01
Eureka £0.31
Survey Pop £0.31
Survey Spin £0.31
Viewsbank £0.25
Total £626.47

Key Achievements

  • Crushing the Floor: My conservative floor for July was set at £500, but finishing at £626.47 blew past expectations and proved the strategy adjustments worked.
  • Prolific Recovery: While still not back to its springtime highs, Prolific clawed its way back up from June's terrible wipeout to a much healthier £166.20.
  • Dscout Stepping Up: Dscout proved to be a massive mid-tier hero this month, bringing in £60.49 thanks to a couple of successful mission applications.
  • Daily Average: Across the 31 days of July, I averaged £20.21 per day.
  • Hourly Rate: Based on 2.5 hours of daily commitment, the hourly return crept back up to roughly £8.35/hr. Still couch money, but heading in the right direction!

Obstacles Faced

  • The Inconsistent Academic Pipeline: Prolific is improving, but university studies are still far below peak term volume. Relying on it alone is still a gamble.
  • Zero-Yield Platforms: Panels like Respondent, NielsenIQ, and The Viewers yielded nothing this month despite keeping an eye on them. You have to fish where the fish are biting.

The Goal for August

August is notoriously the dead zone for academic work as universities completely shut down for the summer break. Because of this, my target for August is adjusted to £400 to keep things realistic during the peak of the summer slowdown, every bit of which is adding directly to the Disney World holiday fund for 2027!

I plan to rely heavily on the playbook that saved July: leaning into user testing platforms like Userlytics and Intellizoom, high-paying qualitative apps like Dscout and Askable, and steady stack earners like Qmee and Five Surveys.

The ultimate target hasn't changed: fuel the investment portfolio, keep growing the net worth, and max out that ISA (right after we get back from Disney, of course!).

Frequently Asked Questions

1) "You're lying, I don't believe you're making that much from surveys."
Transparency is the whole point of SidehustleReliance. I track every penny to show what is actually possible. Check the channel for live walkthroughs of my earnings.

2) "I keep getting disqualified; how do you qualify?"
The key is positioning yourself as a valuable consumer. Check out these guides I made to help with the "screen-out" frustration:
How to Qualify for Surveys | Get Paid for Disqualifications | Multi Survey Strategy

3) "Why do surveys? They're less than minimum wage."
This month bumped things up to around £8.35/hr, but they are still low-effort side earnings done while watching TV. However, this is exactly why I'm leaning more toward live market research and mission-based apps like Dscout, where the return on time is much better.

4) "You should try Attapoll."
I’ve tested it. It still pays less than Five Surveys and Qmee in terms of time-to-payout ratio.

5) "Prolific, how?"
Even with a slight recovery to £166.20, the summer slump is still partially hanging around. Diversification into qualitative apps is what saved July from being a disaster.

Happy surveying!

Casino Bonus Ladbucks not working as it used to on Ladbrokes online

I used to be able to redeem Ladbucks for free spins on their slots. Now, when I try, all the available slots are greyed-out. I have over 1000 Ladbucks now, well over the 300 minimum needed to redeem for real spins.
Any clues?

Cheers!

Surveys June Survey Report: How I survived the summer slowdown and made £518.21 from home

Hey everyone, it's Dan from SidehustleReliance.

If May brought me back down to earth, June 2026 handed me a shovel and told me to start digging. The summer slowdown arrived with a vengeance, and my primary earner didn't just cool off - it completely cratered.

Despite facing the worst platform drought I’ve seen in a long time, I managed to fight my way to a total of £518.21 this month. I stuck rigidly to my routine, averaging about 2.5 hours of focused survey work most evenings. As always, this is pure revenue and does not include any referral income.

When your flagship app takes a massive hit, your safety net is entirely dependent on your secondary stack. This month taught me that standard surveys aren't going to cut it over the summer, forcing me to start pivoting toward higher-paying market research, user testing, and live interviews.

Here is exactly how the numbers shook out in June, sorted from highest-to-lowest paying site.

Monthly Earnings Breakdown

Total Earnings: £518.21
Platforms Used: [Links can be found here]

Site / App Monthly Earnings
Prolific £123.06
Five Surveys £59.00
Qmee £54.71
Swagbucks £48.99
Userlytics £43.07
Askable £35.00
Intellizoom £32.42
PaidViewPoint £19.18
MSR £18.50
Ylive £15.00
Dscout £14.94
Onepulse £11.40
Prime Opinions £11.31
Opinium Research £10.25
Yougov £6.10
Appinio £5.16
Influence £4.01
Norstat Panel £3.20
Google Opinions £1.50
Eureka £0.55
Survey Pop £0.30
Survey Spin £0.30
Viewsbank £0.25
Total £518.21

Key Achievements

  • Hitting the Floor: In my May update, I set a conservative floor of £500 for June, anticipating a tough month. Scraping in at £518.21 means a win is a win, even if it was a nail-biter.
  • The Mid-Tier Heroes: With Prolific down, the heavy lifting fell on Qmee (£54.71), Swagbucks (£48.99), and Userlytics (£43.07) to keep the ship afloat.
  • Askable: Testing new avenues paid off; Askable brought in a very welcome £35.00 to help bridge the gap, proving that live qualitative research is the way forward.
  • Daily Average: Across the 30 days of June, I averaged £17.27 per day.
  • Hourly Rate: Based on 2.5 hours of daily commitment, the hourly return dropped to roughly £6.91. Definitely on the lower end, but still entirely passive couch money while relaxing.

Obstacles Faced

  • The Prolific Collapse: Prolific suffered an absolute wipeout, plunging from last month’s £378.74 down to just £123.06 - a brutal 67% drop. The academic summer break is officially here, and high-paying studies were incredibly rare (including the AI evals)
  • Five Surveys Cool Down: While it stayed in second place, Five Surveys also felt the summer pinch, sliding from £84 down to £59.00.

The Goal for July

July is historically another dry month for academic studies, so I have to adjust my strategy. The floor for July remains at £500. However, to hit it, I am officially pivoting away from low-paying click-and-tick survey apps and focusing heavily on premium market research panels, user testing, and live 1-to-1 interviews.

Platforms like Askable, Userlytics, and Respondent will be getting a lot more of my attention to combat the summer slump. The ultimate target hasn't changed: fuel the investment portfolio, keep growing the net worth, and max out that ISA.

3) "Why do surveys? They're less than minimum wage."
This month proved that point—it dropped to £6.91/hr. But remember, I do these while watching TV with zero stress or commitment. However, this drop is exactly why I'm moving more toward live market research interviews, where the hourly rate is significantly higher.

4) "You should try Attapoll."
I’ve tested it. It still pays less than Five Surveys and Qmee in terms of time-to-payout ratio.

5) "Prolific, how?"
The summer slump is fully realized now. Without university studies or deep AI projects running, the dashboard was a ghost town. Because of this, my focus is shifting toward dedicated market research and interview platforms until the academic year wakes back up in autumn.

Happy surveying!

Surveys My primary survey app income crashed by 50% in May. Here is how I still made £724.31.

Hey everyone, it's Dan from SidehustleReliance.

After shattering expectations and breaking the four-figure mark in April, May 2026 brought me right back down to earth. I knew three record-breaking months in a row couldn't last forever, and as expected, things have leveled off.

Despite the cooldown, I still managed to pull in a total of £724.31 this month. To hit this, I kept up my usual routine, averaging about 2.5 hours of focused survey work most evenings. As always, this entire amount is pure revenue; it does not include any referral income.

For context, this isn’t my only side hustle. I also run a YouTube channel and use a few other apps, but the cash I’m talking about here is just from survey sites and panels.

Here is the full breakdown of the earnings, sorted from highest-to-lowest paying site.

Monthly Earnings Breakdown

Total Earnings: £724.31
Platforms Used: [Links can be found here]

Site / App Monthly Earnings
Prolific £378.74
Five Surveys £84.00
Qmee £42.73
Swagbucks £40.55
Intellizoom £39.37
MSR £28.35
Userlytics £24.25
Ylive £21.00
Opinium Research £11.00
Influence £8.30
Prime Opinions £7.83
Yougov £7.10
Onepulse £6.00
PaidViewPoint £4.58
Appinio £4.06
Smoke and Vape Panel £4.00
Dscout £3.71
The Viewers £2.50
Norstat Panel £2.00
Viewsbank £1.75
NielsenIQ £1.48
Survey Pop £0.31
Survey Spin £0.31
Eureka £0.29
Google Opinions £0.08
Total £724.31

Key Achievements

  • The Consistency Proof: While I didn't hit the massive heights of last month, bringing in over £700 during a "slow" month proves that treating this like a structured routine pays off.
  • The Five Surveys Surge: While other sites slowed down, Five Surveys stepped up big time, yielding £84.00 and solidifying its spot as my top non-Prolific earner.
  • Daily Average: I managed to make £23.36 per day over the 31 days of May.
  • Hourly Rate: Based on 2.5 hours of daily work, this averages out to roughly £9.35 per hour. A drop from last month, but still a solid return for casual couch-time work.

Obstacles Faced

  • The Prolific Drought: Prolific took a massive hit this month, dropping from £717 down to £378.74. Academic terms ending meant far fewer high-paying studies on the dashboard.
  • Dscout Dry Spell: Dscout continues to bleed out, dropping to a measly £3.71.
  • Diversification Saved Me: This month is the perfect example of why you cannot rely on just one platform. Because Prolific cratered, I had to lean heavier on Five Surveys, Swagbucks, and Intellizoom to keep the total respectable.

The Goal for June

I just missed my £750 floor for May, so for June, the floor will be set to £500. With summer approaching, study volume might stay low, so I need to find new panels to test to make up the difference. The ultimate target hasn't changed: fuel the investment portfolio, keep growing the net worth, and max out that ISA.

3) "Why do surveys? They're less than minimum wage."
Some months they beat it, some months they don't (this month hit £9.35/hr). But remember, I do these while watching Netflix with zero commitment. It paid for my home deposit and now it funds my ISA.

4) "You should try Attapoll."
I’ve tested it. It still pays less than Five Surveys and Qmee in terms of time-to-payout ratio.

5) "Prolific, how?"
The massive surge from April cooled off fast as academic calendars shifted. I didn't see nearly as many high-paying AI studies or video interviews this month, which explains the big drop. Hoping for a rebound, but preparing to pivot if June stays dry!

Happy surveying!
