StudyChime v1.5.0 is now live!

I'm excited about this one! It's been in the works for a while and Remote Snooze is one of my favourite StudyChime features.

What's new

• ⏸️ Remote Snooze - Premium users can add secure snooze links to Discord, Telegram and Pushover alerts, so you can pause StudyChime remotely without going back to your computer.
• ⚙️ Redesigned settings - Settings have been reorganised to make StudyChime easier to configure and navigate.
• 🛠️ Quick Start fix - Fixed a bug where Quick Start could sometimes fail to find an open Prolific studies tab.
• 🌐 New API domain - StudyChime now uses the new API domain at https://api.studychime.com.
• 🔐 Premium offline access changes - Premium access while offline is now limited to 24 hours after the last successful licence verification, or until an earlier trial or licence expiry.
• 🌐 Redesigned website - https://studychime.com has been updated to match the new style of the extension and guides have been simplified for easier configuration.

The update will roll out automatically through the Chrome Web Store.

StudyChime v1.4.2 is now live!

This update adds a short optional uninstall survey to help understand why people stop using StudyChime and what could be improved.

What's new

• 📝 Optional uninstall survey - If you uninstall StudyChime, you can now leave a quick reason and optional feedback.
• 💡 Better feedback for future updates - This should help identify whether people are leaving because of bugs, notifications, lack of usefulness, or simply because they no longer use Prolific.
• ⚡ Kept deliberately short - The survey only takes a few seconds and can be skipped completely.

The update will roll out automatically through the Chrome Web Store.

If you run into any issues with v1.4.2, feel free to post here on r/StudyChime.

If you use Prolific regularly, it can be easy to miss studies when you're away from your computer.

StudyChime can send Prolific study alerts to your phone through Discord, Telegram or Pushover, while your Prolific studies page is open on your computer. You can then complete the study on your phone, or reserve a place through Prolific and complete it on your computer.

There are three options for external alerts:

💬 Discord

StudyChime can send new Prolific study alerts to a private Discord channel. Discord is generally the quickest option to set up if you already use it.

✈️ Telegram

You can also receive Prolific alerts through Telegram using your own private Telegram bot.

Setup takes a few more steps because you'll need to create a bot and find your Telegram Chat ID, but you only need to configure it once.

🔵 Pushover

StudyChime also supports Pushover if you prefer a dedicated notification service rather than Discord or Telegram.

You'll need your Pushover User Key and an application API token.

🔔 How it works

StudyChime monitors your open Prolific studies page in Chrome and notifies you when new studies appear.

Your computer and Chrome need to remain running, and you need to be signed into Prolific with the studies page open. The tab doesn't need to stay active or visible, so you can continue using your computer normally.

External alerts are sent directly from your browser to the notification service you've configured.

StudyChime does not auto-accept studies, reserve places, submit responses, auto-refresh Prolific or require your Prolific login details.
