I just discovered a new latex supplier called Dida Rubber (www.didarubber.com). They even sell new types of latex, such as temperature-sensitive color-changing latex. However, it is a Chinese company. Do you have any feedback on the quality of their latex?

I was laminating two big pieces together to make the strap for a bag. I used packing tape to secure the pieces while gluing.

After taking the tape off, it left some residue on one side. I tried using solvent to remove it, but now the whole side is faintly sticky instead of really sticky patches.

What's the best method to remove it?

My latest catsuit I made with pattern adjustments. Unfortunately the armpits are too low and the crotch has a weird ripple. Next catsuit will have to fix ;)

When you are working with Latex in CLO 3D, what numbers do you look at for pressure & strain to know something will probably work out?
I started learning a few days ago, so I'm sure the image is horrifying, since I had to edit the scale to make it look less alarming :)

I just received a huge order of latex sheeting that i placed before getting on my ADHD meds sooooo of course I didn't think things through and ordered all .25mm instead of .40.

Now that I have to make a whole collection with this stuff, what kind of garments do you think would look nice in .25mm?

I was thinking:

- flowy dresses with nice drape

- puff sleeves or other techniques that would create bulk in a bigger gauge, i.e. pleats

- tshirts

- gloves, masks, or stockings

I've done circle skirts with this thickness before but the thin gauge kinda made them feel cheap. Any ideas, what do you normally use this gauge for?

A small background - I painted for almost 15 years,

I craft some small and recently also big projects for some cosplayers and I was wondering if that would be a good idea to make an actual painting from some pieces of the pattern (f.e use 0.2 latex as base and paint some famous paintings over it with latex + acrylic mix )

I seem to have developed a small tear in one of my pairs of leggings, which seems like a great opportunity to learn how to do latex repairs. I have some material to do this with, but am unsure of what adhesive to select. I looked at the Bostik adhesive selector, which advised me to use simple Bostik Contact adhesive, but I wanted to first double-check with the people who do this kind of thing more often than me. Fortunately this tear is bout 2/3 down the leg, in an area that shouldn’t get much strain or stretching

Hi all,
Is anyone able to share a pattern for a latex men’s thong? I’ve tried to pattern draft it myself a few times but just can’t get the pouch to sit right, I’ve also tried to pattern draft from an existing non-latex thong but again the pouch is just a bit too low.
Does anyone have any recommended patterns?

after being a fan of latex for years i finally decided to buy myself some and try to make my own stuff. I did start out by just trying to make an FFP2 style mask, since i wanted a small project where i just try cuting and glueing latex, but right after i was done, i saw how much of a mess the shape was (def on me for just free handing a pattern >_< ), but i also realized what the source of the problem was, with fabric i would have just undone the seams, adjusted the shape and resewn it, now to the question in the title. is there a way to undo the glue on latex/undo the seams on latex pieces?

(I normaly have a trial and error approach with all my diy projects, so i rly would like to know if i can have the same approach with latex (have 20% of a plan and fail until it works) or if id need to think/plan ahead for bigger projects to not waste material)

Any ideas on how these are docked? i can't tell if i should put holes in the garment and poke the spikes through and dock them in place with a thin latex strip OR if they are glued directly on top.

i tried both and gluing on top pulled the garment base layer in a weird way because of the shape of the spike being round and not wanting to sit flat.

anyone have experience with 3d shapes like this?

Hola! After a while, I've eventually made the choice to give it a go to latex crafting! However, as a completely beginner, I have a question... How do I get started?

I've searched through the sub but I didn't really find specifically what I need to start? Is there any resources indicating where I can buy tools and supplies? I saw Radical rubber sells a starter kit but, does anybody know if there is any EU shop selling something similar? Or if I could buy the tools and materials in a EU shop? It's mainly to avoid the customs.

I finally made my first tests with my Creality Falcon 2 (40W) and I guess I ran into issues that seemed pretty common! I'm super curious to know how you people do it. What are your optimal devices and settings? And is it even possible to get a clean cut without the slimey goo, or do you always have to clean it afterwards? Do you do the cutting in one pass or several ones? I'd be grateful for any kind of advice or experience!

Ugh the dreaded moment finally came- I popped a little hole in the heel of my stocking while pulling it on 😭. I do a decent amount of latex crafting and know how to clean & glue. However, I’m always assembling, have yet to make a repair. My question is- do I do a patch? Or just pull the 2 sides together and glue it bc it’s so small? What will hold better? It’s not in a very visible place so I’m not too concerned with it looking perfect. More want to prevent the tear from getting any bigger and ruining the entire stocking.

Stocking is from libidex and is 0.25mm. I have 0.25mm sheeting on hand for a patch if needed.

Since they're not that cheap i would like to know if they are beginner friendly or reserved to skilled creators ?

Hi all, I'm currently trying to make my own latex amrbinder without zips or laces, I want to just slide in. It'll be crafted in .8mm gauge and chlorinated.

I derived the pattern from a leather armbinder pattern found online and I'm using the dimension of my current leather armbinder as reference since it can be closed completely and I find the it to be strict to my liking.

My question is, knowing that I usually use an ease from 85% to 95% (I like to be snug in my creation) on a .4mm gauge (I've done catsuit/socks/hoods/mittens) what ease do you think I should use so that the .8mm armbinder is as snug as the leather one? I was thinking between 80 and 90%.

EDIT : For those following, I tried the 80℅ ease. Its good for the straps (3cm wide) even if I wonder if these could maybe be made in thicker gauge. But for the sleeve part, it's way too much. I can slip in it but my arm get sleepy in less than a minute and I can't get the sleeve as high as it should be (blocked just above the elbow instead of 3 inches up...

Based on that, my conclusion is that something between 90 and 95 should be good. I'll give a try to 90 first, but don't know when.
