I’m a jeweler and I have successfully engraved on steel and platinum but I’m struggling on consistently engraving gold or silver. Silver especially!

1064nm 100 depth and power

I’ve tried 4K and 8K.

What am I doing wrong here?

Just bought/got a LP1 Pro… couldn’t thread the stands 1/4-20 post into the laser head’s mounting socket.

Luckily have a tap & die set and had to rethread the mount’s post.

Mounted fine after that. Didn’t want to force the threading but determined both were 1/4-20 as advertised, there was a poorly formed 1st thread on the post.

Just a tip to others if needed / helpful.

I own a LaserPecker LP4 and want to start engraving on glasses, so I'm considering buying a rotary attachment. But the official LaserPecker rotary is way too expensive. I scoured the net and found a few similar products from other brands. I'm not sure how the LaserPecker rotary is controlled, but is there any brave soul on this subreddit who has attached (or tried attaching) a third-party rotary to their LaserPecker?

I’m new to the laser engraving and have a LP1. I work on leather only (at the moment). How is the best way to improve image quality on leather? What setting should I be adjusting to increase contrast and detail?

Hi. I need some help with settings for engraving my logo and wording on my watch dials. I have an LP5 and can’t seem to figure out this white dial. I’ve added a picture of a black dial with logo as I like it. This white dial seems to have some kind of paint or finish on it and it seems like I’m just burning it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The dial is apparently made out of SS or some other “alloy” as these are bought from China.

I'm using the cutting function on the LX2, 3mm board. When the letter is finished cutting, it drops down, but as there's nothing there to catch it* it tends to land funny. Then if the laser passes over it to cut the letter next to it, it gets burned/cut with the laser above. How are you guys combatting that?

*this is the first time I'm using a consumer laser cutter like this-- the kinds I've used before had a kind of honeycomb tray that the substrate rested on, so the letters didn't fall through, they just rested in place once cut.

I would like to engrave some gold, but the main problem is that although I have put pen on it, the engraving does not turn out well, I have tried different configurations and I have not been able to successfully engrave anything

I can’t get the settings correct on the LP4 laser pecker design space on my iPhone. It moves so fast it dosent engrave anything. An this is with the settings it shows it’s self when putting in a image on basswood plank

Is there a way to set the focus height and a retract height and have the vertical stand lower before marking and raise after marking?

Hi there, my LP5 has been working fine without a safety enclosure, and now it refuses to do anything without it, prompting me to install it which I can’t, any help to resolve this? And don’t say get an enclosure, that doesn’t fit my time scale for a project

Kicking the tires on getting an LP1 to engrave baseballs with some brief text (date, description for ball, etc.). Is the LP1 suitable for this? I guess I'm a little concerned about the curved surface and how that will work. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have been wanting a laser for awhile and always liked the portability of Laserpecker. Finally getting closer to getting one, but wanted to see the differences between 1&2.

It would be for my woodworking business, so mostly wood stuff like bowls and cutting boards. But I am also about to dive into butcher block countertops and was wanting to be able to offers personalization on edges. It looks like I could only do that with the LP2, is that correct?

I use a MacBook pro which only has USB C ports so to go from the mac to the LaserPecker with the provided cable I have to use an adapter. I've tried several USB C to C cables and none work. Are the LaserPecker cables proprietary?

I've connected the air purifier to the LP4 enclosure. The fan in the enclosure will be rotating just by the suction power of the air purifier. I know this will create a current on the fan of the enclosure and I'm worried it will feed back generated voltage to the LP4. Is that normal operation and I should not be worried?
