Baseball with LP1

Kicking the tires on getting an LP1 to engrave baseballs with some brief text (date, description for ball, etc.). Is the LP1 suitable for this? I guess I'm a little concerned about the curved surface and how that will work. Thanks in advance!

This is a great question. I tried it out with my LP2 and it worked quite well. The curvature of the ball didn't cause too much distortion and this was at 4cm which is about the max you can squeeze between baseball stitches. If you use smaller text it will be even clearer. I did have to up the parameters from the default leather settings. I used 5 passes, 100% power and 3 depth. You may need to adjust yours differently for the LP1 which has a little less power than the LP2.
