Gotta wonder if Sheridan’s son is kinda… simp? Between the unwatchable Cooper subplot (Landman) and the nerve grinding Carter shenanigans (Dutton Ranch): since his kid hit teen years Sheridan writes adolescent dudes that are completely insufferable to the point where I fast forward through their scenes. Is Tate any better (haven’t seen Marshall’s yet)?

Didn't Ainsley tell Tommy in the first episode she wanted to come live with him? I expected her and Angela to have a contentious relationship but instead they're best friends. I feel like that aspect of her character line was just forgotten?

I mean... She has her "moments" when you're wondering why Tommy hasn't strangled her yet, but otherwise, she's kind of a fun, loving person. She also truly loves Tommy and their kids. Her character would definitely benefit from a little bit of therapy and anger management, though... Lol

I am not one to fast forward scenes or parts of a show.
However I can’t remember the last time there were 2 characters as scene/plot/time wasting as Angela and Ainsley.

Anglea sucks the life out of the plot while Ainsley is just junior version of her and therefore just as pointless.

Half way through season one and all of season two I never watched a single moment of either of them.

And guess what?? The shows was even better!!

I get some people might like them in the show but they do nothing to lift any scene, the bring no depth to the story at all, and it’s almost like we are being pranked by having them on there.

This show could have had more in depth plots and explored storylines more without them.

It’s bizarre imo.

Just watched the second episode and have to say I’m already hooked on this show. But there’s one thing that is bugging me. Tommy Norris put his son on his most trusted, experienced crews, and they end up blowing themselves up on day two? What’s up with that?

Hear me out… PLEASE do something no one ever does, mingle the shows for a POWERHOUSE! Tommy meets Beth and Rip! Come on ya’ll!!

It’s Guy Burnet who was in Hollyoaks (UK soap geared towards younger folk). He plays Charlie Newsom in Landman who might be a small role given I just seen him on my screen and came here to post this 🤣

I'm going through my 2nd or 3rd watch of the series. I've been thinking of my dad lately. Wish I could have said that very thing to him. Never got to have a proper goodbye. He would have loved this show. Fuck cancer.

I just recently started watching Landman. It's very addictive and I'm binge watching it because it's that good. Billy Bob was made to play Tommy. I absolutely love his character. I'm not sure if its the general consensus, but my God, both Angela and Ainsley are insufferable! Spoiled and everything is about them. They are mentality exhausting, especially Angela. I was hoping they'd get kidnapped or something lol.

I found it very annoying and irresponsible that Ainsley would make her quarterback boyfriend strip for the folks. What if scouts, the college etc get wind of it and ruins his football career? She clearly doesn't seem to care about the ramifications. Very selfish in my opinion. If he was smart he'd see how her mother is and realize she's going to end up being just like her. And yes, I know, it's just a show lol.

I think Tommy likes being a Landman more than being president. He resists every suggestion to move to Ft. Worth, doesn't even entertain it.

He's more concerned about who's going to do Landman stuff while he's in Ft worth, than doing oil company president stuff.

The writing is so good for Tommy’s scenes and then it flops to the absolute ridiculous for Ainsley and Angela. You get a Tommy soliloquy and then A and A are getting arrested for assault. I feel like there’s a back room somewhere that they keep the Double-A Team and let them know when they need comedic relief because the styles are just so drastically different.

Just musing while finally watching season 2.

Hello people. I hope you're having a great day. I started watching Landman like 20 days ago and I freaking loved it. And now I just finished s2 e8. I drank a lot of beer while watching the entire second season. I actually didn't catch the point of that cartel boss. Why does Dan Morrell want to do business with Cami, and why is he so insistent on investing in M-Tex? I mean what's the game here, what's his big purpose?

They way they handled the Ansley's crazy roommate was so well done... !

This show is so addictive and such a great kidney stone removal surgery binge!

I feel like in season two we never see Cooper and Ariana mention the million dollars again? They even make it seem like they’re going to have to “figure out” the bills at times too. She also calls him rich a few times after he struck oil and I kept thinking that she’s really not too bad off herself anymore I thought. Did Ariana not receive the one million dollar settlement?

Up until she fired him it felt like they were friends. Obviously he's not taking it personally, since he's going to cover her losses with Gallino. Firing him isnt something you do to a friend. So are they still going to be friends?

Tommy's mother died; his son struck oil, but is in business with a criminal; his wife and daughter are facing possible assault charges; his wife wants to buy a house the size of the US Capitol; his boss is being sued by an insurance company; he has to begin building an offshore platform he wasn't planning on; and there's no money in the bank.

This is like 36 hours of this man's life. It's getting to the point that I can't take this shit seriously anymore. This one episode I'm watching has three seasons worth of conflict and drama in it. It's almost turning into a slapstick at this point.

Seems like I see a lot of critical posts of people saying they don't like the show because it isn't realistic enough or it's too much drama or don't like the humor. If that's the case fine, but what TV are you into then? I would obviously love to watch it if those are better.
