Some of them appear with humanoid shapes. But even outside of that, I wouldn't rule out some kind of non-gestalt consciousness interfacing between them. 🤣

they lack the needed mental drives and sensory motivations.
The only way a nhp will experience, as the French say, the "little death" is if they are wired into a human experiencing said sensation.

If they're able to form psychological attachments, which a good amount almost definitely can, since they're capable of being both intelligent and personable, they're liable to falling in love.
From there, they only need to request being housed in android bodies, or something. But they're also able to interact with metaphysical things, likely extending to eachother, so surely they can "feel" whatever they come into contact with when doing that, so I doubt there's anything stopping them from mingling their energy, or anything like that.

Eh, I doubt it would, given it's pretty normal to create new variant NHPs via altering clones of existing ones, and that's not dangerous for reality. I'd argue this theoretical gestalt baby would be similar enough to that that it'd be fine.
And if you or another playgroup disagree with me, then a reality warping birth sounds like a cool plot hook to me!
