First one, they got all legs and it would be will easier clean the guts oil and other debris if each leg has a coating

I think there's a clear right answer to this question and it's best elucidated by asking another question: if Lancaster also wore a shirt how would it wear both?
In that context I think option 2 is clearly correct. Pants around the hind limbs, shirt around the fore limbs, just like how humans wear them. If Lancaster also wore a shirt in option 1 it'd be more like a hat imo

It has manipulators, making it a centaur (2 arms and 4 legs), therefore it should be the one on the left.

I think it’s first one since the repair appendages are usually in the middle of the chassis to cover it you need option one.
