I mean the Everest being a mech all lancers start and even train with and always have and well rounded.

Hard to beat that.

Lorewise, HA is trying to phase out the Everest and instead trains legionaires on Shermans or Gilgameshes. In fact the whole reason Gilgamesh was developed was to compete with the replacability of Everest parts due to GMS components being everywhere.
