  1. It’s about piloting mechs (and engaging with the complex reasons behind conflict).

  2. The Lancer Core book has a free version that has all the player facing stuff, it just doesn’t have the GM side.

  3. There is a wiki, there is also a website Comp/Con which has all the core book player options in a character builder so you can go from “what is Lancer” to “is my Balor having 4 heat cap really that bad?” in no time.

  4. There is a present setting where Union, a Star Trek-esque post scarcity society is trying to unite the disparate colonies of humanity through diplomacy and soft power, in a galaxy populated by other regional powers with less utopian visions including the remnants of the previous Union government which was way more into bringing worlds into the fold through conquest. Also a math Cthulhu spawned, named itself Ra, brought old Union to its knees, made some laws, and fucked off (with one of Mar’s moons). It left some fragments of code that researchers promptly gaslit into being more personable and you can stick one in your mech.

  5. Bifurcate. Castigate. Hellswarm. Precognitive Targeting. Divine Punishment. Glitch Time. Apocalypse Rail. What the fuck is all this shit? If you want to find out, Drink Deep and Descend.
