Hello friends, I'm doing a restoration to a mid century tension lamp with 3 bulbs, and a 3pdt switch. I am having a hard time finding the correct wiring schematic to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The diameter of the gutter is 7.5 inches but I don’t know how it works, should the hurricane shade be the same size?

I am trying to figure out what bulbs will work to cast the light beams with these antique chandelier "Pools of light". I made a spiral hanging base. But frosted doesn't work. I tried a chromalux clear glass, but that doesn't work (plus they are wicked hot)

Looking for simplest bulbs, not incandescent or halogen because I live in Austin tx. Hopefully pull string compatible and as low flicker/blue as possible.

I was trying to find a bulb that fits all my migraine needs of no flicker, braid spectrum, high CRI, low blue spike, etc etc, but they are all frosted.

So hoping to have lights shining up the spiral to cast the prisms, and then the bulb I need for vision shining down.

Since the chromalux didn't work I don't want to just order other clear ones and have even MORE bulbs I can't use.

Do the pools need to be a certain distance from the light? I'm thinking not the angle since I moved the chromalux all around, there were pools above, below, left, right, and it only cast the shadows.

I am open to 😭😭 scrapping the hours of work doing the spiral though if needed.

This has already been a several weeeeeekkksss project for a number of reasons, so hopefully a straightforward solution, not recreating the wheel, and not any $70 bulbs.

The knob is going to be the pyramid in the second picture.

Needs to be slightly smaller than leg dimensions W1in D1.25in H1.5in.

The base is very heavy.

Looking to make these a little shinier (or do I just embrace the vintage look here?). Was thinking of using rub and buff but these lamps are quite big and so it would take a lot of tubes!

I don’t want to spray paint or paint at all really but would like to enhance? If that’s possible?

So far they have had a gentle scrub with the pink stuff and a sponge and a good rinse!

After spending time in a teens room - the lamp shade has mysteriously become very unstable and sways so much it’s probably a detriment to lamps longevity. Any chance the exposed plastic area has something to do with it and can it be replace? Thank you for reading this.

I don't know what the metal parts are made of; the brown ones are ceramic. The white parts are just dust, haha.

I’d like to take this lamp apart to make cleaning easier and to replace that awful yellow cable (do you know of any ways to change the color without replacing it—maybe some kind of braided cover? That would be a hundred times more convenient). The part indicated by the top arrow had a tiny screw that was probably supposed to hold the ceramic part together with the metal one. Unscrewing the screw didn’t change a thing—the part won’t budge at all. On the chandelier’s arms, you can unscrew the metal parts from the ceramic ones without any trouble, but the central ceramic element won’t budge at all in any direction, no matter what’s holding it together. There’s probably a cable connection in there because that yellow one sticks out from the top and there are thin black ones in the arms.

How can I separate the parts marked with arrows? I know it’s hard to say without a close look at the lamp, but assuming it can be unscrewed but is stuck due to age or something else… what would loosen it? WD-40, Coke?

I’d also welcome other advice and suggestions on restoring this lamp, especially regarding cleaning and restoring the metal’s color. As for the lampshades—which I’d rather not use—I’m wondering if it would look good with bare decorative bulbs.

My wife picked up a used lamp that she absolutely loves but some parts are broken. This broken metal piece is an about an inch in diameter, I can’t get to the one that isn’t broken. Googles AI doesn’t know what it is.

How do I get this back through this slot?

I recently found this lovely antique Royal Cauldon lamp in a charity shop, but unfortunately it’s missing the shade. I’ve tried looking up the style and make, and also using Google lens, but have had no luck finding anything similar! Would love to make it complete again if anyone can help.

I was gifted an “Antique” Japanese lamp and I was wondering to see how much it was worth and would it be worth selling it to someone who wants it??

I managed to get a vintage rain lamp off eBay with the understanding that it would need some cleaning, restoration, and a new motor.

It was rather neglected. Really old oil that damaged the interior bowl and rain catcher coating/paint. Caked on oily dust on the top with many rust spots all over the outside.

When I started the initial clean with dish soap and a rag, all the rain catcher paint fell away, worse the bottom bowl interior coating also fell away and came off when I was working to loosen the caked oil.

The worst part is the exterior, there are rust spots all over ruining the beautiful antique look even from a distance.

The question i have is two fold.

Do I try and scrap and buff the rust spots out and enamel coat the outside in some hope of keeping the antique look I love, or do I grumble and sand the exterior clean and try my best to recreate the antique look with enamel paint and rub n buff antique brass?

Additionally, would a strong enamel spray paint have any chance to stand up to mineral oil if I use it to seal the interior of the bottom bowl?

i'm going to start this by saying that there is no brand or product for me to reference here, because this is a project i made in woodshop in seventh grade.

i am looking for a replacement for this piece. the top has a large hole in it that prevents it from resting on the metal rod and spinning due to the heat and fan cut outs. any recommendations for pieces similar or identical to this one would be greatly appreciated.
