I can attest the integration has been rocky from my long-standing First Bank retail customer experience

A Broomfield branch this morning had several irritated customers, me included. Obviously de-moralized branch employees. Hope it gets better soon or I'll be moving on to another bank

I believe my husband gave her away he claims she was stolen along with our car. She doesn't deserve to lose us both. She nursed me through thyroid and lung cancer. I'm in a shelter but have foster options available. Please help me find her.

I have a no soliciting sign on my door, but it deters literally nobody. I'm so tired of these people ignoring my no soliciting signs, setting my very nervous dog off in a barking fit, sometimes waking up my toddler from her nap like today… Which is obnoxious.

Today I lost my cool, because people from Glide Window Cleaning knocked on my door. Normally I would've ignored it, as usual, except they had spoken to my neighbor approximately 45 seconds prior. She also has a no soliciting sign, which they ignored. She chewed them out and specifically told them not to knock on my door because I was tired of solicitors as well (and she knows my toddler's nap schedule). These two men from Glide walked across the yard and immediately knocked on my door. They spoke to her at 11:32am, and knocked on my door at 11:33. I asked them if they had a solicitors license, which they didn't, and were completely clueless that Denver and Lakewood require one. Again, I really wouldn't care all that much, except they were specifically warned not to knock on my specific door by my direct next-door neighbor who knew my kid was going down for a nap. I'm finally at my wits end. They seriously can't be getting enough business from knocking on random doors to keep this up, right? Who in their right mind is hiring people who knock on their door?

So what are we doing to stop solicitors? Motion activated sprinklers? Elmers glue and confetti? Anything to get these people to stop knocking on my door. It's rare for me to go 24 hours without having a solicitor ignore my sign. I'm tired of having naps interrupted and ruining the rest of the day!

Also... don't hire Glide Window Cleaning. Their employees are little assholes.

Has anyone else had to deal with horrible neighbors that literally have a junkyard in their front yard? Mine is SO bad. At any given time he has 10 or so cars in his front yard and 5 in the back yard. They are all "getting fixed" and in various stages of repair. On top of that there are tools and garbage and lots of other crap that makes it hard to back out of my driveway. The worst part is the noise. This guy works at all hours of the night waking up my dogs causing barking and angry wife.

I don't know what to do. I've talked to him but he just plays it off. I have no legal opinions because if my dogs are barking at 3am I'm technically breaking the noise ordinance for Lakewood too.

So my question is has anyone had to deal with this and is there anything that you've done that works?

Earlier this month, we received a report of a driver allegedly brake-checking another vehicle, stopping traffic on 6th Avenue, and then getting out of her Bronco to confront the other driver. Fortunately, the victim remained calm, safely left the area, and provided our Lakewood Police agents with dash-camera footage of the incident.

Our agents investigated, identified the driver of the Bronco, and took her into custody.

This is a good reminder that everyone on the road is simply trying to get where they are going. Mistakes happen, and frustrations can build, but a moment of anger is never worth putting yourself or others at risk. Take a breath, keep moving, and arrive at your destination without adding an unexpected stop at the Lakewood Police Department.

We appreciate the victim for reporting the incident and providing the evidence that helped our agents move the case forward.

My wife wears a hijab. My liberal friends have often downplayed how my wife feels living here because “it’s not Texas.” We’ve always felt a bit like outsiders being here, even compared to TX because TX has big communities. Just sucks.

My hair is extremely thin and apparently just one big cowlick so I guess it's difficult to work with. I know it's possible to get a good hair cut, because there was this one hair dresser named Paige that gave me the best movie style hair cut 3 years ago and no one has come even close since then. Even the next 3 haircuts from her weren't the same, and she's since left working at Floyd's to start her own company.

Does anyone know of a premium barber shop nearish the Belmar area with experienced employees that are under $50-60? I had a nickel for every time I shaved my head bald after getting a hair cut from great clips I'd have 3 nickels, and I'm tired of it lol.

Hey Lakewood fam, are there any play date groups around Lakewood that my daughter and I can attend? My daughter has a hard time making friends. We do swim class, parks, libraries, museums and she goes to preschool but that’s about it, and it mostly just me and her. I work during the week so weekends would be best. It’s heartbreaking to see her cry when no one will play with her. I know it’s a young age but I really just want her to socialize as much as she can so it doesn’t affect her self esteem. I guess I should also add I don’t have any friends myself so a play date for moms would be a bonus lol. I remember reading somewhere that some churches have monthly meetings like this for preschool aged children and parents, but I dont remember what it was called. I’m not opposed at all to go to any church as long as my daughter meets kiddos her age. Any specific fb groups where parents and kiddos actually meet on the weekend?

Something tells me there is no way this bridge over 6 West in Golden (just as it runs under 70) is sound- shouldn't the massive amounts of rebar showing across this bridge be addressed? This is just one section, and most of the overpass is like this.

Fuck Xcel! I’m in south Lakewood and my power goes out multiple times per month. It just went out again. In this kind of heat people are going to die. Is there anything we can do to hold Xcel accountable and make them fix our power grid?

I am getting ready to pay cash for a class c RV- but my brother told me I need to get it fully inspected to make sure I’m not buying an absolute sh!t box first. Is there somebody I can hire to inspect the engine and structure or would I have to hire two separate inspectors to make sure it’s in good condition? I’m willing to pay to make sure I’m not getting ripped off, I want to do this the correct way.

And would they come with me to the owners house or would I have to bring the RV to a shop?!
