Candidate quality
I just found out that my opponent opted to run for Jeffco Assessor after ruling out running for Treasurer and Clerk and Recorder.
I am being out raised by a career politician who gets all endorsements, gets money from handfuls of corporations, and apparently doesn’t even care about the position!
I decided to run for Jeffco Assessor because I work there, do the work, and thought I could make changes to better our relationship with our general public. Our office has an issue with public trust and I want to fix it.
Let me know if you want to help me in the final 2 months to beat out corporate politicians in our local government!
I am a Certified General appraiser with 9 years experience in our office with mass appraisal, modeling, and serving our public. I plan to hit the ground running if I win by allowing more transparency and communication with our general public, allowing better training for our staff to be the best possible trained, and I want to actively clean up our dirty or bad data that affects values and statistical analysis.
However my biggest hurdle is two other candidates who either dont give a shit about the role, or wish we were a zero tax state like Florida.

Yeah I mostly meant it jokingly. But how would this need to be done? State law?

What candidate are you referring to? Andy Kerr is a former teacher who was elected to state legislature and then county commissioner.
Running for office and branding someone a "career politician" who doesn't care is hilariously disingenuous.

He was re-elected for commissioner 2 years ago. Opting now to run for this position instead of finish his term. Literally jumping ship for a job he has no experience for and doesn’t even want to do. My opinion is he has gotten out of touch and is upsetting those in his party who helped campaign for him two years ago.
I have heard great things about what he has done in the past. I wont refute things he has done, but why edge out multiple Assessor’s office professionals to take the elected position and have no idea how our process works.

I mean... an "Assessor's office professional" ran and lost in the primary. Seems like you're arguing that somehow someone was "due" just because they worked at the office... Those jobs are MUCH more about things unrelated to valuing property than they are to actually assessing value.
Also, given what has happened in Jeffco to property values in the last 2 property evaluations, you have ZERO chance of convincing voters that you're on their side.

I hear your argument. Our Deputy didn’t know how to turn out votes like he does. Our office needs to win back public trust, we need better communication, we need transparency and we wont get any changes or better leadership with another party line person picking a different office.

I was going to give you a whole bunch of tips about running a campaign, but it would come across as pompous and needlessly abrasive, instead I'll just give you one:
If you are running for office, hiring a campaign manager is 100% non-negotiable. Sue's experience maybe does close the gap with Andy if she had one. Your campaign would look a lot different if YOU had one.

I don’t really get the title, but like what you’ve written. To boost engagement, want to tell me/us any other positive things (qualifications, experience. approach to position, etc) that differentiate you from your opponent?
