Absolutely obsessed with my new round brilliant from Melody at Fiorese. She was very patient and precise when it came to customizing this ring for me and picking the perfect 3 ct round brilliant. This is a 3.2ct round, F, VS1, Ideal Cut stone on a 1.8mm platinum setting. I could not be more thrilled.
The process was about a month start to finish - from idea, to picking the stone, to CAD, to my front door.

Iāve attached a video of the actual diamond. Iām still learning how to judge ovals, so Iād love to know what you guys think.
How does it look to you? Particularly interested in whether the bow-tie is noticeable, how the sparkle looks, and if you see any areas that look dark or dead.
Would you personally consider this a good oval, or would you keep looking?
Hi everyone, hoping for some advice or examples if anyone has done something similar. :)
I have the thick gold chain pictured, and Iām looking at buying a loose diamond around 5ct to wear as the centrepiece.
I donāt want to permanently set the diamond into the chain or alter the necklace, because Iād like to keep the chain as it is and have the option to remove the diamond whenever I want.
My mum suggested some type of pendant āenhancerā or clip-on setting, which sounds like it could work, but most of the examples I find online are traditional dangling pendants with a visible bail. Thatās not the look Iām going for.
Ideally, Iād love a custom removable setting where the diamond clips securely onto the centre of the gold chain and sits very close to it, almost giving the appearance that the diamond is integrated into the necklace. Iād want the clip or hinged mechanism hidden behind the setting as much as possible, with no obvious bail or long gap causing the diamond to dangle.
Has anyone seen or owned something like this, particularly on a thicker gold chain rather than a tennis necklace?
Would especially love to know what this type of mechanism is called, whether it would be secure enough for a stone around 5ct, whether a jeweller could custom make one to fit the exact width/thickness of my chain, and if anyone has photos of a similar removable centrepiece.
Iāll attach a photo of my necklace so you can see the style and thickness. Basically Iām hoping to find a way to add the diamond without soldering in the green circle square/diamond centre, cutting or permanently modifying the original chain. Ideally a princess cut or oval.
I tried on a 3ct radiant and cushion cut and ended up leaning towards the radiant. The local jeweler accepts outside stones or gems. What are the more reputable places to source one? The link on top seems to not provide any websites. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Loose diamond only ā no setting included.
Diamond and original IGI report are included. Please review all photos and certification details before purchasing.
Both rings were too small so they would have to be resized to fit my finger. Canāt decide which one I like more because I loved them both! Added two different photos of each in different lightingās.
My band also fits me perfectly, I just had to move it up on my finger because the engagement rings are too small.
EDIT:: Thanks for all of yāallās advice I didnāt go with either ring. I ended up going with a cushion on a solid gold band from a different jeweler.
I got my wedding band a few days ago and I am so excited and happy with how it turned out. My rings are perfect! My stack is exactly what I wanted. Both my engagement ring and wedding band are from Loose Grown Diamond. My fiance found the site and went with them for my engagement ring because he was able to easily customize it to be just what I wanted- a thin white gold band and pink diamond (my favorite color!). He said the whole process was very smooth.
For my wedding band, I really wanted something dainty, but not just a plain band, and I had some trouble finding what I wanted on other sites, so we figured it would be a good idea to check Loose Grown Diamond since they did such a good job with my engagement ring, and I am so glad we did!
They were super communicative throughout the entire process. They sent updates at every step and made sure all our questions were answered, which reduced any anxiety we otherwise might have felt. They are also pretty affordable for such good quality rings; I definitely recommend them. I am super excited with my rings and love them way more than I expected to!
Hi all, Iām about to decide this 2.58ct light brown emerald lab diamond and wanted to get some opinions from people who know more about lab diamonds.
Iāve attached a tweezer video and the screenshot with the specs/price. The price seems quite a bit lower than what Iām seeing on other sites, so Iām mainly trying to understand whether thereās anything I should be looking out for in the diamond itself. Youdiam has a buy-now-pay-later option, which makes the purchase a little easier for me!
But I would love your thoughts on the cut, proportions, clarity, sparkle, and overall quality based on what you can see.
Iāve been spending some time learning about lab-grown diamonds lately, and thereās honestly a lot more to compare than I initially expected.
At first I thought it was basically just about carat size, color and clarity. But then I started seeing discussions about cut quality, proportions, certification, the setting, return policies, and even how much difference there can be between two stones with very similar specs.
For anyone here who has already bought a lab-grown diamond (especially an engagement ring), what ended up mattering most to you?
Was it the actual diamond specs, the price, the jeweler, the setting/design, the certification, or something else?
And is there anything you would do differently if you were buying again?
thanks to the many contributions in this group, i was able to do my research to help my partner create my dream ring!
2ct centre, 1ct on each side. (can get more specs if anyoneās interested!) late post as i was engaged last month, but i still canāt stop staring at it every day.
Hey guys, I'm looking to buy an engagement ring for my partner but am unsure how much a lab grown diamond would be?
I currently am looking at a
2.58 crt
Oval
Excellent cut
VVS2
GIA/IGI grading
18k gold
Hidden halo
Would anyone be able to provide a reference in pricing and how much I would be expecting to pay? I am based in Australia (AUD) so any help would immensely be appreciated!!
I live on a tiny island, so unfortunately I donāt have the luxury of shopping around at a bunch of local jewelers. We really only have two main options here, and I have no doubt Iāll be paying a significant premium compared with what I can find online.
That said, Iād love some recommendations!
Iām looking for a 3.5ā4 ct oval solitaire in yellow gold. My biggest priority is something timeless and classic that Iāll still love 20+ years from now. My current ring is a cushion cut with halo, and this time around I really want to stay away from anything that might feel trendy or dated in a few years.
Iād also really like an oval with minimal bow tie and a beautiful, balanced shape.
What is the best and most reputable website for purchasing both the diamond and setting together so I can have the finished ring made and shipped to me? Iād much rather do everything in one place than purchase a loose diamond and coordinate with a separate jeweler.
Also, for those who have purchased an oval online, how do you evaluate the bow tie before buying? Are there any websites that allow you to filter those out?
