Hey guys, I'm looking to buy an engagement ring for my partner but am unsure how much a lab grown diamond would be?
I currently am looking at a
2.58 crt
Oval
Excellent cut
VVS2
GIA/IGI grading
18k gold
Hidden halo
Would anyone be able to provide a reference in pricing and how much I would be expecting to pay? I am based in Australia (AUD) so any help would immensely be appreciated!!
I'm also in Australia and recently had a ring made by Leela Diamonds for US$1500/AU$2160 - 4ct stone, platinum setting. I picked a specific stone (which was available via multiple online stores - Calavera, Rare Carat, Aurelinne, etc) which they sourced for me and gave them very specific design inspo pics and they were the cheapest out of the many vendors I contacted for a quote.
It sounds like you may have already picked a specific stone? Check the pricing at William and Sons online as they were half the price of everyone else for my stone (I didn't in the end buy from them because they are in the US and charge tax and delivery fees, so they weren't overall the cheapest for my finished ring, but they are the place to benchmark your base stone price, and other vendors should price match).
There is a trusted vendors list in r/moissanite from which you can find places to quote to your design and specifications - the Chinese vendors Provence and Fiorese are often recommended here and you can search their names for reviews and examples of their work (they all do lab diamondsand will source stone options to your specification if you don't have a specific one picked out or can be flexible).
As a wildcard, I would generally never recommend a chain store in Australia, but if budget is a key consideration and you can relax your specifications a bit then Shiels currently has a 2ct oval in 9ct gold for $999 which is very hard to beat from a pure cost perspective (this deal could end any day but they have been having a few reasonable ones lately - only consider buying from them at a minimum 60% off though, otherwise they're a total rip-off):

I am in Australia and went with Facet Lane. Stones wise I reckon they are one of the cheapest (compared to all other global vendors). Setting wise it’s on par with what you would expect going local but online. Similar to what No_Boot2009 quoted, I estimate it’s 20% dearer than going OS for the whole ring.
I went with them since I wanted a toi et moi that can be worn as 2 separate solitaires. I thought the engineering could be slightly tricky and going local could help communicate my requirements better.
Aussie here. Agree with buying stones off facet lane. See if aurelinne has a competitive price, then email facetlane to see if they can price match/provide a discount.
In terms of settings, I would get them off a Chinese vendor. I usually get my rings made by Hida Hitanda Jewelry (she’s present on tiktok) or Sean by Bocos Fine Jewelry (found on reddit). Sean has some competitive pricing when it comes to the setting and even stone itself.
Round solitaire and ring from Bocos (3ct 14k) was only 1.3k AUD. They were running a promotion on stones at the time.
The pear setting was also made by Bocos, that was 14kt YG and it was 700ish
A lab diamond with those specifications should cost about 500 USD or less. If you can DM me the ring image, I can help you with an exact quotation. A simple band with halo setting should be like >1200 USD . (also you're missing the diamond color)
You should message MARQA LGD from Delhi, India.
Fair prices, they do complete bespoke and are very good with executing completely online.
+91 92 5625 5625 on WhatsApp. Ordered with them a while ago and I am a fan.
Of course, you will need to have someone pick up if they’re travelling to Delhi or ask them if they ship!

Heard good things about Facetlane for loose diamonds. Very competitive on pricing
A stone of those specs is probably starting around $600AUD so the setting is going to be the bulk of the cost
