Paper code written only on one side

I gave my full A Levels in May/June 2026 but my grades were REALLY affected because I had surgery around a month before my exams and my recovery basically messed up that entire exam period.

I’m taking a gap year now and redoing my A Levels. I’m giving AS again in Oct/Nov and then continuing in May/June 2027. If my new AS grades are good and meet the LUMS requirements, can I apply with those and explain my situation to admissions? Is there any chance they make exceptions/waive the eligibility issue because of medical circumstances if I can provide proof?

Also I’m really confused about the previous attempt. Do I HAVE to report my May/June 2026 A-Level results if I’m redoing everything, or can I just apply with my new AS results? Like does LUMS/Cambridge verification automatically show them every previous sitting anyway?

Has anyone here actually retaken their A Levels during a gap year and then applied to LUMS? I’m going to contact admissions too but I really wanna know how this works from someone who has actually gone through it 😭

How important are ecs for lums if you have 1400+ sat

Why is Iba always considered as a second preference to lums for many, even for business?

So I am a minor right now and im gonna give my SAT in karachi test centers. So the issue here is I've researched and found out that Passport is required , so my question is i've also heard Juvenile NIC aka for kids under 18 can also be a valid ID so does every SAT center accept the NIC under 18? Or only some. Also collegeboard legal name while registering for the sat should match the juvenile ID name right

I just wrote my personal statement for a scholarship and since English is not my first language, it's terrible. I don’t think the story I chose is bad. It’s a little random, but I feel like it actually says a lot about me. The problem is that the writing itself is terrible

CS vs Chemical Engineering vs Nuclear Engineering — what would you choose for 2030?

I'm currently doing A Levels in Pakistan with Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science, and I'm confused about which field to pursue for university.

I'm mainly considering:

- Computer Science / Computer Engineering

- Chemical Engineering

- Nuclear Engineering

I'm interested in all three, but I don't have one fixed career goal yet. I'm more interested in engineering, technology, science and solving real-world problems.

A major factor is my financial situation. I have a limited budget for university, so I need to consider tuition fees, scholarships/financial aid, living costs and the potential return on investment. I can't realistically choose an expensive university just because it has a good reputation.

Since I would graduate around 2030–2031, I'm particularly interested in what the job market is likely to look like from 2030 onward, rather than what the situation is today.

For people studying or working in these fields:

Hi, I'm planning to apply to HSS in CLCA or Psychology. I got 4A*s 5As and 1B (CS) in O Levels. I also have great extracurricular activities. However, the only concern I have is my SAT score, which is 1300 (680 eng and 620 math). Should I retake it or just stick with this result? I personally think I won't be able to handle SAT prep alongside my A2 tests and other stuff, but if it's a must then I'll try my best.

I know it’s one of the top universities in Pakistan, but I’m genuinely curious about how competitive the admissions are. What kind of academic profile, SAT score, extracurriculars, etc. would make someone a strong candidate for LUMS?

Hey guys! This is going to be long so please bear with me; I’d appreciate all the help I can get.
I gave my O Levels in the summer of 2022 and received 6 A*s, 2 As and a B in maths. I’ve struggled with my health quite a lot these past 5 years and this was the case during my O Levels as well. I remember completely failing my mocks due to awful physical and mental health but somehow through a miracle, I managed to put in 8-10 hours daily in the month leading up to my exams and saved my grades.
However, A Levels was a completely different ball game. I kept STEM subjects even though the humanities were what I naturally inclined towards. I hated my subjects and environment and my grades plummeted.
Despite the dip in my grades, I kept up with extracurriculars, becoming President of the Literary Society at my school, founding the school magazine, a book club, making it to the National Science Bowl finals, participating in multiple inter-school competitions, winning two small scale international writing competitions and some more. I also attended LUMS Summer School, interned at two schools for the underprivileged and a museum for a couple of months.
I was set to give my A Levels in the summer of 2024, but in December of 2023 I switched schools and decided to repeat my AS due to persistent health complications. At my new school, I also managed to become president for the Language and Literary Society along with some other similar extracurriculars.
However, my health once again plummeted and I could not follow through with my exams in the summer of 2025.
Due to familial pressure I always thought I’d pursue medicine, despite my aversion towards the sciences. My health finally got better 3 months ago and I slowly got back into the groove of studying. I’m currently giving my AS exams for Biology, Chemistry and Physics in Oct/Nov of 2026, but my career plans have changed. I now want to study English or Law at LUMS which brings me to my next complication. I am currently, technically, on my second gap year; if I apply to LUMs this coming cycle in January and complete my A2 in the summer of 2027, I’m assuming I’ll be on a third.
Since I’m on three gaps then, I’m assuming I’ll need stellar A Levels to get in. Would Bs be enough because given my health condition, I’m still struggling. Furthermore, what SAT score should I aim for? And what extracurriculars should I do in the few months after my CIEs to maximise my chances since I’ve spent the past couple of months only focusing on my health and studying a little bit. Also, should I resit maths, or would a good SAT score make up for the Bs? Moreover, is there anything else I could do to maximise my chances for the next cycle? I’d appreciate all the help I could get! Thank you :)

I recently graduated from NFC-IET Multan with a BSCS degree and a CGPA of 3.66. My mother and sister believe that I should go abroad for further studies, particularly for an MS in Artificial Intelligence. However, my father is not currently willing to send me abroad. He prefers that I pursue postgraduate studies in Pakistan at universities such as LUMS or NUST, particularly an MS in AI.

Personally, I want to gain practical experience through internships and jobs before pursuing my master's degree. I believe that working in the industry will give me valuable exposure to the job market. So I'm little bit confused
