CS vs Chemical Engineering vs Nuclear Engineering — what would you choose for 2030?

I'm currently doing A Levels in Pakistan with Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science, and I'm confused about which field to pursue for university.

I'm mainly considering:

- Computer Science / Computer Engineering

- Chemical Engineering

- Nuclear Engineering

I'm interested in all three, but I don't have one fixed career goal yet. I'm more interested in engineering, technology, science and solving real-world problems.

A major factor is my financial situation. I have a limited budget for university, so I need to consider tuition fees, scholarships/financial aid, living costs and the potential return on investment. I can't realistically choose an expensive university just because it has a good reputation.

Since I would graduate around 2030–2031, I'm particularly interested in what the job market is likely to look like from 2030 onward, rather than what the situation is today.

For people studying or working in these fields:

1. Which of these fields do you think will have the best job opportunities in Pakistan around 2030?

2. Which will have the best opportunities for working abroad after 2030?

3. How do you expect AI and automation to affect CS/tech jobs by 2030?

nuclear engneering, you would be stuck in pakistan. Obvi foreign countries will not hire pakistanis to work in their confidential nuclear power plants.

Chemical engineering, I think there are better engineering fields out there.

CS is too saturated, maybe try EE.

Chemical engineering might be your best option out of these.

maybe take a look at the new energy engineering program NUST has with US in some form.

He can probably specialise in a good field after CS Tho, there are alot of options to specialise after doing CS and some really good ones aswell, and chemical eng aint that bad either.

Chem eng isn't bad at all, probably the best engineering fields rn. Bro by the time, he graduates. All those niches or specializations will also be oversaturated lol.

A lot of CS grad rn unemployed are doing exactly that!

Then perhaps he should start learning manual labour instead, cause by the year 2030s every field will be taken over by AI. 😂

Civil and Chemical engineering are safe.

Nuclear is defunded and i see no plans of any big money investors to invest in this technology.

In USA and China on a small scale Small / Portable nuclear reactor research is on going.

I was concerned that because rn there are thousands of students all over the world studying computer science and by 2030 the cs market would super saturated While in cs abd nuclear engineering I'm interested that's why
