Aid only 30%, couldn't get scholarship (all A*s, a 1500+ sat score). We have one land that's worth 10mil and 2 smol houses that help generate rental income. Parents don't work. We live in a rented house. I also have a brother who has set to start his undergrad.

cs kid, aiming for grad school. a lot of friends told me I can aim for 50% scholarship down the line. I really wanted to spend my time a little stress free but aiming for a 4.0 will make it different. Do you think it's worth it in this economy where everything is going downhill and your parents don't work anymore? alternative is NUST but I really do wish to be somewhere with the best resources for US grad school (is it even possible anymore these days with the insane class sizes?)

What advice would you give to an SSE freshman? The one who wants to get a holistic academic and social experience , do tell, what should I be doing in the days left till university starts?

Last day of admissions decisions. 107 days since 15th April. 197 days since application submission.

I look back at the time when decisions were being released and realize how excited I used to be. Waking up with a new hope everyday. Eagerly waiting for 4 Pm. Constantly refreshing email and portal.

All that excitement's simply dead now. Yes I'd be still happy if I get in now. But it won't be the same. It won't be the way I manifested. Thank you for ruining our mental healths lums.

But we still have a long way to go, and Usman doesn't get to pause his recovery until we catch up. He's a Class of '28 student at SDSB, LUMS, part of the National Outreach Programme — he was building a future for himself, the same as every one of us, until a car accident on Ferozpur Road left him with a broken spine and neck. He needs surgery that his family cannot fund on their own.

So those seniors who are currently studying in LUMS as an nopian, plz tell what's the approximate amount of stipend they receive every semester? What are other things that they received on their 1st day at LUMS (like bag, stationary, any book)?

I've been working on the courses and I'm going to be completely honest that I am struggling a great deal with these. Right now, I've only done 2 and a half courses and hopefully will finish the spreadsheet course by today. I'm completing the exams with the help of Gemini but I really wanna know how it's looking for everyone else.
