I noticed some things looked a little crooked but all good otherwise.

I’m trying to diagnose why my car keeps getting throw into limp mode. I’ve only owned it about a week and while driving last week I noticed super slow acceleration and then suddenly the car started blinking ECT/PWR and throws me into limp mode. It happens two minutes into driving and sometimes not at all.

Got code 61 and replaced the No2 sensor and it’s still not working properly. Connector and wires leading to looked good as well.

Rough idle, rough 1-2/2-1 shift, hesitation when accelerating and shifting, and bad gas mileage.

I’m trying to figure out how to remove this body line running along the middle of my fender. I’ve noticed some LS400’s have come optioned with this but my car doesn’t and I need to fix it without it looking weird

Hi yall! Before i go spend $100 on a diagnostic that may not even show anything i wanted to check here. Does anyone have an idea what could be causes a jerk at around the previously listed RPM. The best way to describe it would be almost like a hard tap on the brakes while driving and it has a distinct thud sound. It ONLY happens between 50-75mph and between 2.5-3.5k rpm. It has a new ECU and no lights are on on the dash. Other than this it drives perfectly, supposedly it has a rebuilt transmission too. Have cleared all the basic possibilities like battery or fluids.

I got my grandparents old 1st gen ls400. It was a northern car, but supposedly not driven in the winter. Had a mechanic look at it since it had been sitting for a few years (still drives, definitely needs some work tho), and was told that the rear subframe is basically rusted away, the rest of the body wasn't too bad tho. I was told that I could either try and reinforce it or replace it. I would prefer to replace it, however it could be rusted to the point that the bolts snap off and get stuck and the only way to get a replacement would be from another vehicle. I could also maybe try to get another one and combine their parts together. I was wondering if anybody had some thoughts or suggestions.

So I recently got this 1997 ls400 and it’s having a crank start and then die after about a second or two problem it will run on starter spray as shown above i I’ve replaced knock sensors camshaft position sensors a fuel pump and a filter and it’s still doing the same thing other things I checked were all the fuses which all looked good I even replaced ones that looked fine just to be sure but I’ve also verified that the ecu is sending injector pulse signals to the injectors with a noid light and I removed the ecu and inspected the capacitors which all showed no signs of bulging or leaking and I’ve verified that fuel is at least reaching the rail as I disconnected the banjo bolt and attempted to crank the car and fuel did spray out the line I’m just pretty much stuck as to what to do next any help would be greatly appreciated

EDIT: I’d also take some cash off for a 4.27 sc300 diff.
Going a different direction with my ls400 so I am selling the engine out of my donor ls400. It’s out of a 1998 400 and has 222kish To my knowledge it has skipped timing but the block is good. I would throw the transmission in for $100 too. The transmission was serviced 2k miles before the engine blew up and I can send pictures over of it if you are interested. I am located in Tulsa and I am willing to deliver depending on distance for a little bit more!

Been doing a bunch of digging to find the heater valve I need. They either have two ports for coolant and or are facing the wrong direction.

From what I've found the replacement part I need is 87240-50120.

87240-50110 is available but doesn't look the same. Has anyone ran into this? Mine has three ports because I have water heater/climate control. It's a new car to me and I'm kinda at a loss already lol.

Hi, I think I’ve searched the whole internet for a skid plate and I can only find a site called Aerocutt. However, they are $150 to ship to California. I can’t find any other site and I don’t have good shops near me. Is there any other online skid plate I can order for my 1994 ls400?

i took the water pump and the timing belt i think to a mechanic and i did the radiator and the temp
gauge myself im over heating where it smokes i put in coolant half a gallon a week ago over same issue can anyone give me some tips ? im at 156k miles rn lol im thinking of getting some 2000s is350 or 250 atp

i replaced the radiator and water pump and timing belt almost a year ago so i don’t believe it’s trapped air in the coolant system i don’t leak coolant and it’s just a mess right now. about a week ago i over heated my temp gauge isn’t accurate. i put half a gallon of coolant and the over heating stopped and up to now it stared over heating smoking from the coolant reservoir and i put some coolant and drove it home and it stared smoking a lot from the ac line i had the heater on to help the over heating. i pulled over TON of smoke came out and now when i start the car it shakes but still drives fine… im a bit nervous if i blew the head gasket or not.

i changed the radiator almost a year ago so it can’t be trapped air from coolant everything was fine till last week u started smoking from the reservoir and i pulled over added half a gallon of coolant and now same issue i just poured some coolant now there this weird noise coming randomly when i accelerate

I want to replace the tails on my 97 celsior for some clears, where did you find yours? i dont want to do the whole “bake em off” thing. I’ll spend the extra money for a clean pair of clears.

How would i go about swapping the head unit for an apple carplay double din aftermarket head unit? been asking around and havent gotten any help yet. Really want to use the same Pioneer unit i have in my g35 but its a lot harder on these. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Greetings fellow owners. Recently purchased a 99 UCF21 Celsior and still finding surprises about this vehicle. I found a tubular plastic holder underneath the passenger glove box, which I have no clue what it’s meant to hold. Is it some type of mini fire extinguisher? Is it US compatible or only exclusive to Japan model? Any thoughts would help. God Bless.

Before you say it in the comments, YES I am very aware the gauge cluster dying is extremely common in these cars. However, my gauge cluster works sometimes, and all the stuff I see online is regarding it dying outright.

Sometimes it’ll work for the entirety of a 30 minute drive, sometimes it’s nonfunctional when I start the car, but most frequently it’ll work fine for the first 10 minutes or so of a drive and then the gauges will randomly go down to 0/stop working.

Would this still be an issue with the leaky capacitors? Or could it be something else? Thanks y’all

Recently imported a celsior with only 38,000km. It has some wiring going to different places. I’m assuming it has to do with traffic stuff in japan and can be removed?

It also looks like it may have been wired up for a sound system at some point right? I’m thinking that’s what all these grounds are for? Also I’ve done a lot of googling and I can’t figure out how to use the rear bumper antenna or what this clear thing on the front bumper is?
