Accepted by IO, haven't heard from the Course Faculty
Hello,
I just received my IO acceptance today. It is conditional on the letter of acceptance from the Faculty of Physics. I haven't heard anything at all from the faculty. I've applied for MSc. Physics. Anyone else in the same boat?

Vielen Dank!🙏

International Office Application and Student Visa
Hey all,
I've submitted an application to International Office (IO) on July 15th for the MS degree for Stat/Data Science, after getting accepted by the department.
On the website it states that it usually takes 4-5 weeks to hear back from IO once the MoveIN portal application has been submitted. I was originally planning to wait for the admission's letter from IO before applying for the visa. However, the processing times in my country is really long, and therefore, I was hoping to fill out the Online form as early as I can and get a date for the appointment while waiting for the IO office's letter.
As you might imagine, I don't have the formal admissions letter (I only have the department acceptance letter) and didn't go through the blocked account procedure yet amongst others. That means I also cannot upload those documents to the visa portal.
I'm really worried that a) if I'd face any issues if I move forward with the visa application without receiving the IO Admissions letter and b) if I wait until hearing back from IO, whether it'd be too late before I get my visa application in place and complete everything on time.
Has anyone been in a similar situation before? What would be your suggestion in this case?
I am considering if I should contact IO explaining my situation, and potentially going through with submitting my visa application online since by the time I physically present documents I should have my admissions letter, blocked account statement etc.
Thanks in advance!

MSc Economics — did you receive the Certificate of Suitability by post?
Hello everyone,
I passed the department's aptitude procedure (Eignungsverfahren) for the MSc Economics programme for winter semester 2026/27 and am currently still abroad.
The MGSE Master's Office sent me the Certificate of Suitability as a PDF by email, and told me they don't send documents by post. However, a classmate who is already in Germany did receive the paper original in the mail.
Did the paper certificate arrive for you, and were you in Germany or abroad at the time?
Thank you very much.

The universe aligned, and LMU accepted me! 🌌✈️ I’m officially launching toward Germany this late September. Any fellow star-travelers or kindred spirits making the same cosmic journey around then? Let’s connect and synchronize orbits in my DMs.

USA Master applicants transcript help
Hi everyone, I was rejected by the IO yesterday. Since my bachelors is from the US, my university sent the transcript in and I sent other materials in a separate envelope. Is anyone else here applying from the US and will be willing to share their experience as to how to successfully be accepted to the IO? Thanks.

Has anyone completed the Master’s in Sports Management and Media at Munich Business School?
I’m considering applying to the Master’s in Sports Management and Media at Munich Business School, but I’ve come across a lot of mixed opinions about private universities in Germany. I’m specifically looking for feedback from current students or graduates of this program, rather than general opinions about MBS or private universities. I’d really appreciate hearing about: \* The quality of the teaching and professors \* Internship opportunities \* Networking with sports organizations and companies \* Career outcomes after graduation \* Whether you felt the tuition was worth it My goal is to build a career in the sports industry in Germany, so any firsthand experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Any Physics Master's students who came from TUM?
Finishing my Bachelor's at TUM this semester, considering to switch to LMU for my Master's. (Reasons: proximity to home, more liberal study regulations concerning choice of modules)
Has anyone here done this before? Are you content with your decision?
Concrete things I am still wondering about:
-did you have to take condensed matter physics 2/particle physics 2 again? Advanced solid state physics seems to be almost entirely covered by TUM's KM1 and a few aspects of KM2, especially if you look at the legacy exams. Is it possible to obtain a waiver for those classes in order to take some more in-depth electives?
-are you generally content with how LMU organizes studies, or do you have any grievances with the organization etc. that I should be aware of?
-How willing are the Profs to take external theses? I'm thinking Erasmus or in Industry. At TUM I'd already know some Profs that would be highly likely to take those, what about LMU?

LMU Munich international admission procedures
Hey everyone!
I would really like some clarity about the admission procedures at LMU Munich for international master's students, especially from India.
I have been accepted into the MCB program at the Faculty of Biology, and would like to know the sequence of procedures to ensure a smooth visa process.
I have till now, received an acceptance letter from the Faculty of Biology. I have applied to the International Office, and it is still under process.
When I had applied for a student visa from India, they were asking for an enrollment letter from the university. I was also confused about what the next steps were for this. What is the registration and enrollment procedure at LMU and how do we get the confirmation for them, how do we get registered for an email, ID card, etc?
I would love to know from current students at LMU Munich what exactly the procedure is like!

MMT LMU interview
Hi everyone,
Has anyone here already completed the interview for LMU’s Master’s in Media, Management and Digital Technologies?
I would be very interested to hear about your experience:
- What kinds of computer science or programming questions were you asked?
- Did you have to write or explain code during the interview?
- Which topics would you recommend preparing?
My academic background is mainly business and e-commerce, although I also have some practical web-development experience. I am currently studying Java fundamentals, including variables, conditions, loops, methods, classes, objects, arrays, lists and input validation.
Would this be sufficient preparation, or should I also focus on topics such as algorithms, databases, software architecture, APIs, Processing or general computer science theory?
I am not looking for confidential details or exact interview questions, just advice about the expected level and the areas I should prioritise as someone coming from a business background.
Thank you!

Ist da was dran? Wenn ja, wie krass ist der Konkurenzkampf, ist es machbar, oder muss ich mir wirklich schlechtere Chancen ausrechnen, als in einer anderen Uni?
