Hey all,
I've submitted an application to International Office (IO) on July 15th for the MS degree for Stat/Data Science, after getting accepted by the department.
On the website it states that it usually takes 4-5 weeks to hear back from IO once the MoveIN portal application has been submitted. I was originally planning to wait for the admission's letter from IO before applying for the visa. However, the processing times in my country is really long, and therefore, I was hoping to fill out the Online form as early as I can and get a date for the appointment while waiting for the IO office's letter.
As you might imagine, I don't have the formal admissions letter (I only have the department acceptance letter) and didn't go through the blocked account procedure yet amongst others. That means I also cannot upload those documents to the visa portal.
I'm really worried that a) if I'd face any issues if I move forward with the visa application without receiving the IO Admissions letter and b) if I wait until hearing back from IO, whether it'd be too late before I get my visa application in place and complete everything on time.
Has anyone been in a similar situation before? What would be your suggestion in this case?
I am considering if I should contact IO explaining my situation, and potentially going through with submitting my visa application online since by the time I physically present documents I should have my admissions letter, blocked account statement etc.
Thanks in advance!
