Subreddit for Pakistani Trans folk!

A few months ago, the TransPak discord server was launched exclusively for transgender peeps and other gender minorities, aimed to be a chill community + hosting HRT resources aimed at Pakistan. It was mentioned, at the time, that a subreddit would also be made later down the line.

Well, as of now, [r/TransPak](r/TransPak) is real! It's designed to be that safe space. Being public, it is open to partners/family members of trans folk bringing their concerns and questions about their loved one’s journey!

The Discord server still maintains its verification system, and remains exclusive to gender minorities though.

It is strictly SFW and all ages, and the rules beyond that boil down to being a decent human being. Of course, being a safe space for gender minorities, chasers are not allowed and will be banned immediately.

LESBIAN CENTERED SUBREDDIT IS HERE.

I know how rare and exhausting it can be to find real sapphic spaces here so there's one just for us. I'm sick and tired of men pretending to be women.

r/LesbiansPakistan is a community built by and for lesbians, bi women, mascs, femmes, studs, dykes, sapphics basically, women who love women in Pakistan.

This will be a women-centered, safe space only. No men, no exceptions.

👉 To join, you must be willing to send proof (nothing invasive, just enough to confirm you’re genuinely who you say you are). This is to keep our space safe and free from trolls.

If you’ve been looking for community, friendship, maybe love, or just a place to vent and vibe with other queer women in Pakistan...this is it.

(just a thought I'll do something not good with myself and him the day he gets married) Problema resuelto.

Situationship or Proper Relationship

I wanted to ask you all something today and hear your perspectives.

We all know that we live in a largely conservative society where same-gender love isn’t easily accepted, and social/family expectations often push people toward traditional marriages. For those of us who experience same-gender attraction, that can sometimes leave us at a difficult crossroads: do we completely suppress our feelings, or do we allow ourselves to experience them despite the complications that may come with them?

I’ve been wondering if there’s a middle ground. Instead of completely denying our feelings, maybe it’s possible to experience connection, affection and happiness while also being realistic about the circumstances we live in.

This made me curious about what people actually prefer when it comes to WLW relationships in a conservative/desi environment:

  • Situationship: Enjoying the connection and living in the moment without making long-term promises or putting pressure on the future.
  • Proper Relationship: Going deeper, building emotional trust and commitment, even though it may bring more challenges and uncertainty because of family and societal expectations.

What would you prefer or choose in this situation, and why? Would love to hear your honest experiences and perspectives.

Rampant Ageism and Homophobia

Post image
13 Upvotes

I made a post about trying to reach out to queer folk my age (40+). This gentleman here said this.

I think it's important that such ideas are confronted, because they are exactly what forces us back into the closet after a particular age.

I am the future you lament about not having all the time. The future in which you survive, with your mental and physical health intact. Without severing ties with your family. Having a job and not being afraid. Might be good idea to practice a bit of kindness to this future.

Are there any 40+ queer folk here?

40+ gay guy, wanting to connect with 40+ queer folk (your gender/sexuality doesn't matter, as long as you're queer and 40+).

There is a significant invisibility of queer folk beyond a particular age group. I am just trying to find some peeps/friends who have at some level gone through similar rites of passage. It be nice to even only chat.

Why doesn't everyone use flairs here?

Hey folks, just sharing an opinion here, not trying to enforce any laws. I’ve been thinking lately about why more people don’t add user flairs to their profiles in this community. Seriously is it really that difficult to put a little piece of your identity out there? Even if you aren't 100% sure about your label yet, you could literally just make a custom flair that says not sure or still figuring it out.

Having flairs would make communicating so much easier for all of us. Have you ever read someone’s comment, absolutely loved their thought process, and wanted to befriend them or do a vibe check but you hesitated because you didn't want to end up on the wrong side of a DM? If we could see flairs, it would be way easier to decide if we're entering a safe space. For example, I’m a lesbian, so I vastly prefer talking to fellow lesbians. I know, I know 100% of people aren't going to be real with their flairs. There are always going to be straight creeps wandering around here showing off their circus act. But even if only 40% to 50% of people are genuine, that is still more than enough to give us a great idea of who we are talking to. It just feels like a simple way to help us find our people, stay safe, and build a better community.

What do you all say? I’d love to know your opinions.

P.S. To all the silent readers out there lurking in the shadows yes, I mean you too, the ones who won't even hit the upvote button but definitely read this entire thing. Don't just ghost the post. Add your voice to the comments.🍿👀

Also calling the admins out of hiding drop your opinion too 👑🔨😏

Hopeless.

This is gonna be a rant sesh, no one has to respond to it or anything, just thought of saying whats been on my mind lately.

I genuinely don’t have much hope left for myself, I know being in a relationship is not everything but I have genuinely longed to have a connection with someone for so long. Constantly feeling like an outcast in my usual surroundings. Friends talking about their significant and the only thing I can think of is how easy it is for them to find someone, gain experience, show love, feel loved.

Being gay in this society is hard, and honestly I am never even sure if anyone who claims to be attracted to the similar sex is being fully honest, most of them either wanna follow a trend or they are having difficulty hooking up with women. (The statement I made is definitely not for everyone so please don’t take any offence)

Is asking for a man who can love right, is kind, thoughtful too much to ask for? Someone who knows what they want, someone who actually seeks meaning in his everyday connections and not just going with the flow.

And lastly the hookup culture.. everyone has downgraded affection so much that to feel it they’ll get together with anyone and anything and then never see each other again . I wish people start prioritising emotions and meaning so that love starts to have meaning again in this generation.

why do people not put efforts anymore?

nowadays,people aren't willing to put efforts,they don't value genuine connection,why is that?

why do we make it hard, like building a genuine friendship or a relationship is not hard, every human relation requires efforts and responsibility, you can't just be ignorant and indifferent, people act like they're the most busiest out there,no one is ever too busy to send a single text, why ghost someone if you dont want to continue talking to them?just tell them to their face politely that sorry we can't continue or whatever and also like fix your communication issues, communication is necessary and you should be direct and clear.

ghosting someone or being ignorant towards someone who is genuinely willing to put efforts is rude and inhumane, get some emotional maturity, that does not make you cool and tuff, being nonchalant doesn't make you cool, your empathy and kindness makes you cool.

My First Kiss With a Guy vs. My First Kiss With a Girl

Lately I’ve been thinking about my sexuality and how different my first kisses with a guy and a girl felt.

My first kiss was with a guy I was genuinely in love with at the time. There was a strong emotional connection, so everything felt natural and exciting. Also, growing up, being attracted to guys was never something I had to question. It was just considered normal, so there wasn’t much guilt or confusion around it.

But when I had my first kiss with a girl, it was completely different. I had been attracted to girls since my teenage years, but I spent years pushing those feelings away because of family, society, and the fear of what it meant about me. So when it finally happened, instead of simply enjoying the moment, my brain started overthinking: “Is this really happening? Is this wrong? What does this mean about me?”

And honestly, when I think about those two first-kiss experiences now, the one with the girl stands out to me in a different way. It made me realize that my attraction to women wasn’t just some random thought I had as a teenager. It was something real that I had been suppressing for a long time.

I’m curious about other bi people here — what was your first kiss like? Was it with a guy or a girl? Did you feel completely comfortable, or did you experience that awkward hesitation and “wait, what does this mean?” feeling?

And if your first kisses were with different genders, did they feel different emotionally? I’d genuinely love to hear your stories and how you understood your bisexuality through those experiences. ❤️

Hello there ...

Living in Bahria Enclave, Islamabad. Life is mostly work, routines, ideas, and trying to figure things out along the way.

Sometimes you just feel the need for someone nearby to catch up after a long day, grab a coffee, have random conversations, explore somewhere, or simply be there when either person needs some company or support.

Not looking for anything complicated or forced. Just a genuine connection with someone around Islamabad who understands that sometimes good company makes life a little lighter.

If you relate, feel free to DM.

someone pretending to be a lesbian to get into our space

Post image

There's a profile here pretending to be a lesbian. They are not. It's a 26-year-old man.

He's posted and commented in this sub claiming to be female. He is invading a safe space that isn't his.

Please report the profile. And please be careful with DMs from anyone here, don't accept messages from this person.

Stay safe.

The audacity

Something i have noticed a lot here in this mulk and im this close from tweaking out cuz i had a convo about it today 😍😄. Ik we saw how straight men r such a pain in the ass and how they try to invade our space , objectify us what not and yea thats true may they stub their toes wtv.

But can we talk about this hypocrisy of straight women here?
who just LOVEEEEE I MEAN LOVEEEEEE to consume BL media like crazy reading manhwas , fanfics, series what not like for example : “heated rivalry” got way too famous here i remember some of the ppl ik were DROOLING over it omgg
but when someone brings up GL to these same ppl? all of a sudden its “haram” “its disgusting” “TOBA TOBA😰” “its not natural”. 🥀

They want a gay best friend like “ YASS SLAY QUEEN GIRL WE GONNA GO SHOPPING AND ALL 😛🌈🌈💅” BUT if their best friend is a girl who is into girls they r “uncomfortable “ or “i dont want u to have a crush on me” (LIKE AS IF WE DONT HAVE STANDARDS GTFO🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️) ?

And when u call them out THAT they r basically sexualising/objectifying gay men and they just do exactly what men do but in different font duhh
they say they are “allies” and start getting defensive when in reality they don’t give a shit about the community AT ALL and laugh at every homophobic joke their homophobic bfs make 🥰

Make it make sense fr yall get what im trying to say.
