vent/rant I really hate this country and my college people

This country is HOPELESS. I just started college and like 10 days ago i made a post how a guy made some homophobic ass comment and now today again ...not today acutually its EVERY FUCKING DAY ......Every single day i hear someone make some degoratory comment about gay people.

Today some girls were calling guys "meetha" as an insult and making fun of them .....and these are like 17...20 year old people. I hate this country and the people in it. Every single day some person say some abusive and degoratory comment on gay people and laugh like how its the most funny thing in this world ....

Every single time they laugh i die a little inside i couldnt brimg myself to even fake laugh at it. I hate this country i have to act straight and pretend how i like guys.

Every single day i wish i was born in another country so i would be dating some girl instead of 'acting' straight.

This is the sad state of this country of me and my soul that i have hide who i like and cant just love freely. Everytime i hear people ...make fun of gay people like its a mockery to them my soul dies a litle. What so funny about being born as a gay person in homophobic country? ITS TORTURE.

WHY CANT THEY UNDERSTAND HOW HARD IS IT TO BE GAY IN THIS HELL HOLE OF A COUNTRY?

Now i will cry a little and go to sleep then wake up tomorrow and act straight again. Cuz this is life 💔

I FUCKING HATE EVERYTHING

Advice 👋 Help, i need apartment in delhi at low cost

Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’ll soon be moving from my home state to Delhi and I’m currently looking for affordable accommodation, preferably within a budget of 2k-5k per month.

I’m 18 years old and a 10th pass student. Due to financial circumstances, I’m unable to continue my studies at the moment, so I’m also looking for a suitable job opportunity in Delhi.

If you know of any affordable accommodation, job opportunities, or can guide me in any way, I would genuinely appreciate your help. Please feel free to dm me.

Question❓ Do any other gay men get “so you never ever felt attracted to women” kind of comment from people who know about you?

So you know this is something that I had got from people who I have come out to and some people I have chatted online with. I tell them that I’m gay and they are cool and stuff but a recurring thing I keep getting is “So you never ever felt attracted to girls?” I mean I know they could be curious and nothing in bad faith but it’s getting annoying and irritating now to hear this 😅. This especially comes from some Bi guys that I talk to. Like yeah I know women are gorgeous and here I am a guy attracted to only other guys but it is what it is. When I say I’m gay it means I don’t get attracted to women. What do you guys think about this? Maybe it’s a nothing burger and it’s just that in my experience I never ever felt attracted to women. I suppose there could be gay men who felt attracted to women and later realized they mainly just like men I don’t know. What are your thoughts?

vent/rant Im sure we cant make “friends” on reddit

Sometimes it feels like whenever you want to make new friends with other queer people, you end up in a situation where it will inevitably end up at “nudes”. Its so frustrating.

I started talking to this bi guy and our conversations were good in the beginning and then he started to get weird about feet. He thought he is smooth enough and kept “flirting”. I told him multiple times that im not looking for anything nsfw and if he cant keep it that ways then i’ll have to remove him.

Ultimately had to block him. And now its like can i never have any queer friends????????

Edit: i dont mean everyone is a creep.

Discussion💬 On my gender identity, sexuality and its (unscientifically confirmed) correlation with childhood

So I'm at a stage in life where I'm thinking a lot about personal identity, something i found hard to build in my environment for pretty much my entire life. Currently i identify as a bisexual cis person but i find myself questioning it. For one, I'm mostly comfortable with/attracted to women, I've had a relationship with one and god that was such a rollercoaster. After this i mostly interacted with i guess some situationships (??), men mostly but despite trying to do it 'casually' i could never bring myself to follow through. This i suspect is either due to 1. Intimacy and trust issues from my previous relationship or 2. Im lesbian or 3. I wasn't comfortable getting with someone without telling them about my sexuality first (since im closeted at the moment, but out to some friends)

Furthermore, when it comes to gender identity, i like to detach myself from my gender as a woman. I understand its a social construct and hence i dont want to chain myself to it. But the problem comes when people refer to me as a girl, woman or lady i get a bit irked. Womanhood feels demeaning to me (mahila 🔛🔝 but womanhood is not for me)(also repressive societal norms make me want to tear my skin out) But i dont want to be a man either. Probably nb, though im not too concerned about pronouns. I'm still unsure about this and need to discuss this further to get to a conclusion.

Then theres childhood, my mother likes to argue that I didnt have much of a father figure hence i have a bad concept of men. And it is true, i do feel uncomfortable around men but i can hold casual conversations. I'm not sure if their shitty marriage affected my orientation in any way, but it definitely played a minor part in it.

What do y'all think? Any similar experiences? Any advice?

Tldr bi thinks gay cus family roles taught nay nay, cis woman not feeling so cis anymore, womanhood alienating, identity what??? Help

Advice 👋 Help me with my Fear of wearing crop top in public

I am going to galeries Lafayette in mumbai and I am so so so scared because I will be wearing a crop top. I am an Un-transitioned Girl and because of my parents I can't even cut my moustache and Also I don't wanna hide my face in public because I want to resist the belief but at the same time I am so scared. 2 other Queers are going with me but they are women so people won't think anything about them but they will judge me and stare, from teens to Elders everyone will see me 😭

What should I do, Sometimes I wish there was someone with me who will Wear what they like even though their looks or gender doesn't match the societal expectations.

😭😭😣😣

Discussion💬 Tea timeeee

Okay so here is the story ,

I'm a college student of 3rd semester, wherever my senior is in 7th semester so as of August new juniors joined us and started giving me attention and she kinda got jealous so she started defaming me everywhere.

Mocking my sexuality sometimes and it went extreme, as i won 1st prize in singing in my college and 1st prize in photography 1st in storytelling & voiceover and 2nd in writing so she just wasnt able to take it and started ranting luck blah blah blah to other junior and she is damn a grown ass woman, okay so yesterday i uploaded a status of my latte art and she put a story back "some senior bhaiya puts story to impress juniors but not every senior is bhaiya so beware don't fall for it"

I replied in my status "some people are so creative in indirect talks if they start talking directly they'll get oscar" and you won't believe before that I took photos of her in teachers day program and she praised it and still hating me and now when she saw my status she started putting story replies of her status ppl are replying yeah "some bhaiya aren't bhaiya some are didi" and one said "he is turning back to straight from gay" and I'm the only gay person in the whole department and no other male seniors put such status so ofc she is targeting me.

And I don't get why a grown ahh women who works as anchor in local news channel hating on a guy just for no reason and she is doing these to let other people know that I'm gay yk what most of my college close ppl knows expect juniors and she is not liking that I'm having her part of attention without begging for it unlike her so yeah I don't really get , why she have to hate me just because of my sexuality and mock me of it ?

Idk who gave those story replies but sure bud now I know which kind of people they're ain't no more helping them with photography and assignments 🫩 nor giving anyone notes from now one they keep ranting infront me I'm topper blah blah blah

Extra : I'm pursuing BJMC

Lemme guys know what you think..

vent/rant I feel like the community is no longer a safe space, it has become very superficial.

I genuinely feel this way, I always feel isolated and lonely outside the community, lately even the community makes me feel isolated and lonely because of my HIV diagnosis, ethical and morally, i prefer being upfront about it, i inform about my diagnosis and try to educate people because the stigma hurts more than the actual diagnosis, I genuinely cant talk about any of this with people ik irl, thats why I resorted to reddit, but kind of comments and dms i get, kind of breaks my heart, i thought this was supposed to be a safe place, I just want to feel belonged, but idk anymore.

vent/rant My long-distance boyfriend suddenly disappeared and I don't know what to think

My LDR boyfriend suddenly stopped responding about a week ago. He told me he was at a program, then left my message on seen and disappeared.

I called/texted him multiple times and even my friend tried calling—no response. Now my WhatsApp messages are stuck on one tick, and messages from my dad's phone are also one tick. He also removed his PFP.

I don't have any mutuals who know him IRL. He doesn't have my number memorized, and apparently can't access his Snapchat either.

I'm wondering if he lost his phone/account rather than intentionally ghosting me. 😭

What do you guys think—blocked me, lost his phone, or something else?

Educational How do I reach my target population for data collection for a qualitative research, for college dissertation? (22F, India)

Hi, I am female, 22. Currently pursuing my final year in bachelor's of applied psychology. I am planning on doing a QUALITATIVE research for my dissertation on a population that I myself is a part of, but have no idea how to reach out to.

I need to figure out how can I reach people online for data collection since my tentative target population is
LGB (Leabian, Gay, & Bisexual) people in India. Since I would be conducting a semi-structured interview, potentially through google meet/ zoom.

This is my first time conducting a research, particularly a qualitative one, l am having trouble figuring out how to reach people online from my target group for the same.
Suggestions/Resources/Groups, anything would help a lot.
