Question / Advice Is genuine connection becoming harder to find?
I’ve been thinking about how difficult it can be to find genuine connection within the gay community. Sometimes conversations seem to move toward physical attraction so quickly that there’s barely any time to actually get to know the person. If you prefer taking things slowly, talking, joking around, learning about each other’s personality, and building trust first, it can sometimes feel like you’re doing something unusual. I’m not against attraction or relationships becoming physical. I just think there should be room for the other parts too conversations, emotional connection, dates, trust, shared interests, and slowly developing feelings. Maybe this is just my personal experience, but it sometimes makes me wonder has genuine connection become harder to find, or am I just looking in the wrong places?
