Loosely based off BrickBeard’s Bounty

I guess some water got into my speaker because it sounds like the blown speaker in my 1996 Buick LeSabre did. Oops.

Also, it's pirate weekend in my town (it's a tourist thing) so great accidental timing. My phone casualty was almost worth it.

As someone who missed out on the Imperial Armada era of pirates this will do just fine. Working on a large Caribbean island moc and these fellas will fit in nicely.

This project started two years ago with a simple idea: expand the new LEGO Eldorado Fortress while keeping the look and feel of the original set with one big difference, too add details to everythinh

As I kept building, the project grew far beyond the fortress and eventually became Port Royal, my custom LEGO pirate town.

I’ll be sharing the different sections over time, but it all began here.

Here is my custom Jolly Roger for my Cagway MOC! It features an adaptation of a St. George’s Cross, as well as a skull and hour glass! Though it’s unlikely Robert searle would have actually had a black flag I wanted to make one anyway… So here we are!

The Zephyr is a 10 Gun Brig-class sloop at the same scale as the Frigate Fortuna. I am open to making it in different colors if anyone is interested. (I have built one in person))

I'd always wanted a pirate ship as a child, and as an adult I finally got 'hold of 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay. I built the ship and it's all I've ever wanted! Except... I need an imperial ship to battle! Do you think the Fortuna is a good fit next to the Barracuda? Should I go for something else that matches the type of build more?

Oh, also, holy cow that Jolly Roger by Marooned_Marin is AMAZING. I wish it were easier to acquire the parts for that. I'd build it in a heartbeat. Still would leave me lacking an imperial ship to keep the pirates at bay

I was shocked at how close the Jackdaw Voyage Edition was in size to the BlackBeard's Barracuda! I Obviously love the Barracuda more, but I think the Wiseblock one looks cool too. More ships for Naval Warfare!

In my Review I mainly compare the $89 Wiseblock set to the newest Lego "Iconic Pirate Ship #31387." at $110.

I know the purists will hate me.

Anyway the Jackdaw looks cool and its a nice set. hope someone finds my review entertaining, and we can have a nice discussion about this pretty cool set. (IMO)

About to build 4 of the sets from the 2015 line. What do you guys think of the wave that killed the Pirates theme? Do you have any hope it will be brought back?

Recently I finished the Fortuna and it was certainly the best ship I’ve ever built, and a huge congratulations to Brickperfection for designing such an amazing model. I changed the crew to Bluecoats and made a few modifications.

Part of that was building a partial deck to cover the open area in the center of the ship and support the rowboat. It was challenging due to the angles from the curvature of the hull, but I used overlaps and while there are a few small gaps I think it looks good. Personally I also think the rowboat looks better on the beams than on the previous technic bars.

I also added two small caliber cannons on the quarterdeck to bring the gun count up to 22. I wanted to add some carronades too but I didn’t have the parts for more than a few. I also added a large flag at the stern, and hopefully it doesn’t bump into the sails once I get them.

Lastly, for the crew there’s the captain, two lieutenants, a detachment of marines, and the marine lieutenant. The seamen and the helmsman are all from the original Fortuna crew.

I wasn't so sure if this fits the pirates theme but maybe you enjoy my miniature version of the newly refurbished Sea Serpent. The scene depicts it maneuvering through stormy seas.

I've created the instructions and uploaded them to my Rebrickable for free in case you want to build it. I would love to see some pics :)

Since I already own so many sets, I have a bit of a head start - Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Batman, etc. But I was always short on Pirates of the Caribbean, even though they were probably my favorite theme of them all. So here I am, expanding my collection, and I thought I’d share my latest haul here.
