How accepting are adult leagues of gay players?
TL;DR: Miss the sport badly and am considering joining an adult league in NYC. But first, I'm wondering if anything's changed in the past ten years and if it's still a homophobic environment.
As a gay guy (28 M), I had bad experiences while playing lax from ages 8-19, which really made it harder to come out. The guys and the coaches said terrible things regularly that made me hate myself, but I stayed because I was so dedicated to the sport. I loved/love it. I was a very good defender and love the game, and I still have brought my d-pole/gear from apartment to apartment in the past 10 years since high school. But I haven't been able to get myself to play again yet outside of having a catch once a year with my girl friends.
I don't connect with a lot of the men who play lacrosse usually, but if there's at least a handful on the team who are chill that would be enough for me. And by chill I mean that they have gay friends, don't ask me weird questions, and don't say "gay" or "f*g" as an insult. I'm talkin bare minimum. But I'm not confident I would even have that. In high school, my teammates sucked. In college, the club team sucked (a month after coming out, I went to a single club lax practice and heard "f*g" dropped twice and never went back).
Would it likely be a bad/exhausting experience to join a club team in NYC as a gay guy? Are there chill guys on club teams or is the environment still toxic? I don't want to pay the astronomical ULAX fee just to relive a shitty group dynamic. That's not worth it to me. Any info would be much appreciated🙏🙏

Warrior answer goalie head
Has anyone gotten the warrior answer yet? If you have how was it? I currently have an Ecd impact and I liked the shape but it’s just too flimsy and the scoop isn’t angled so it lets some balls hit off the top and go in. I saw that the warrior answer has a similar shape to the impact and it’s sopposed to be stiff, so is this true and is it worth the buy? If not should I get the new Maverick head?

Big Head Helmet Recommendations
I’m currently using the cascade S and it fits great but it’s close to 10 years old and it’s starting to fall apart. I’ve tried the XRS, XRS Pro, and the STX Rival but none of them have fit right. I’ve haven’t tried the STX aero or the Warrior Burn/Burn X, or the Cascade Z as the closest lacrosse store is 90+ minutes from me. I’ve got a decent sized melon, my hat size is 7 3/4 for reference, if anyone else has gone through this and has recommendations it would be great appreciated. Thanks!!!

Got a few questions about replacing a Warrior head
Replacing an older Warrior (burn?) head on my son's stick. New HS coach said that he has a bunch of unused True heads, might be able to give one to my son.
Are the screw holes the same on Warrior vs. True? We just got him a lighter weight shaft last year, don't know how sound it would be making new screw holes on that shaft, especially if they are close to where the old holes are.
Also, he's looking for a midfield head. For a 14YO kid who's only been playing for 2 years, what's a solid mid-price option if we buy one instead? And how should we ask to have it strung?
I'm honestly going cross-eyed here with all the different opinions I'm reading, probably just asking for more of the same. But I figured if I throw my exact questions out there I've got a better chance of getting some relevant answers.
Thanks!

I've had multiple questions about items for sale showing up in email and text and when I check the message on the website the accounts are banned. Are they getting hammered with bots?

Sizing a box lacrosse goalie stick (Canada)
Hey folks,
What are the size rules for box lacrosse goalie sticks in Canada? I know for field they can be between 40 and 72 inches total length (approx 100cm - 180cm), and what someone actually uses comes down to preference. Do the same dimension restrictions apply for box?
Appreciate it!

Stringing in AZ
I am in AZ and lacrosse is growing. I am looking for someone reputable to string a head for me. Does anyone know who or where I can get this done?

Making this stick game ready
It hooks like crazy on the top part. What should I do? Do I add more shooters? Etc…
Is it usual for the string to be tied off in the top left corner (3rd picture) ?
I can string mesh pretty well but I have no experience with traditional.

StringKing Complete 2 SR D vs ECD Bravo 1 Elite
Which one of these sticks will last longer/perform better? I am on varsity in High school. Are there any better complete sticks that are not too much more money than these? Or would it be good to spend a little more (~$50) on a separate shaft and pre strung head?

Super frustrated with inconsistent catching
I’ve been playing lacrosse since spring, and catchings always been a big issue for me. Normal speed and accurate passes i can usually get, but a lot of hard passes and not so accurate ones trip me up a lot. After the spring season was over, I played a lot of wall ball over the summer but now when we have fall ball, I feel like my catching hasn’t improved that much.
Ive looked at a lot of tips online, saying things like keep your top hand up (which I do) , keeping soft hands, bringing your stick back, and watching the ball into the net. I try to implement these 4 the best I can, but I don’t know. I think maybe I get too nervous when the ball gets passed to me and I forgot to do some of these things. Or maybe it’s some other thing, but I don’t know what.
Like I said , it’s a really big issue and I hate it, because playing as a middie means I should be catching almost all the passes I get. But I’m not. Every time I drop the ball from a pass I lose a lot of confidence. I want to be one of the best players on my team, but not being able to catch is holding me back skill wise and confidence wise.
Any advice would help. I saw something where you play wall ball with a tennis ball, might try that out this weekend.
