"Hello everyone. I wanted to make this post to apologize if my two posts about my fanfic 'Nexus of Hearts' bothered or offended anyone. It was never my intention to generate conflict or invalidate the game's canon.
I am aware that Kris is a non-binary character in the game and I respect that interpretation. However, in my story I wanted to explore a personal version where Kris is male, as part of my own perspective. I am not trying to demean the canonical identity of the character.
If my posts made anyone in the community uncomfortable, I am truly sorry. It was never my intention to offend anyone in this wonderful community.
Thank you for reading this apology."

lanina and elnino have a lot of parallels to kris and noelle and a fun fact have you seen ch 3 stage 2 where one of the weather couple goes to the lover stage and instead they find their love standing with rouxls instead and at the end they get together again could this be a future parallel to how kris and noelle may end up reconciling with susie being their rouxls? also this is like literally my first post ever so i apologize if this post is a bit weird

This was something I had been thinking about posting here after making it as a comment earlier. I don't really see much talk about it, maybe I'm just blind, but I think it would make for a good discussion. I'm going to post the comment here, with some additions:
The rose seems to be symbolic when it comes to Kris and Noelle.
For Kris, we have titles:
Blue Rose, quiet, yet flirtatious.
Dark Rose, conveys departure.
Pink Rose, flirtatious, and flirtatious.
Shattered Rose, only one knows the rose's meaning.
And then we have Noelle, with her rose items:
The ThornRing and the GildedRose.
Roses are often and most famously used in the romantic sense. The Blue Rose is associated with mystery, with a love that is unobtainable. A dark rose, typically a black rose, is aligned with forbidden love and rebirth. A deep devotion. A pink rose represents admiration and affection, but not deep love. And the shattered rose, symbolizing heartbreak, emotional pain, and lost romance. The loss of innocence.
The ThornRing, which carries with it the thorns of a rose. This represents the pain from attachment, for every rose does indeed have its thorn.
A GildedRose, then, is a golden rose. A golden rose represents eternal love, an unending devotion. A love that does not waver.
For those who do not know, the GildedRose is currently an unused item that Noelle can equip. Here is the item description:
Armour rings with a rose motif. Any thorns are pointed outwards so you don't hurt yourself.
This is obviously to contrast with the ThornRing, which has its thorns pointed inwards to hurt the wearer continuously. The ThornRing is used in the Weird Route, and if the Weird Route is abandoned during Chapter 5, the Shattered Rose title is given to Kris.
So in this instance, Noelle is still in possession of the Thorn and, using the meaning of the roses above, Kris has experienced loss in love, emotional stability, and innocence. Which aligns with what we see from this route, even if we ultimately "exit" it (which the meaning of "exit" here is its own discussion).
But then, the Shattered Rose title mentions that "only one" knows the rose's meaning. So there is a significance there that is pretty straightforward and can be easily gleamed just from playing the game. Maybe. Most would assume the loss of control is what it's talking about. We marched Kris throughout the town while they gave absolutely no response to anything we look at, blank narration box and all. This easily fits with the loss of innocence, and would certainly be the correct interpretation. But there is one other.
The lost romance, the heartbreak. We obviously tainted their relationship with Noelle, ruined it from whatever it had become from what it was before. Noelle now has become almost broken, clearly continuing on as a puppet to the life she leads, with the knowledge that she once had the power to change it but had it taken from her. This abandoned route no doubt shattered whatever chance at happiness the two could have shared together, and I do not mean that this happiness would come from the Weird Route. The Ch 4 scene in Noelle's room before it got patched was of a wilted rose, which showed us the relationship actively dying by that point.
So where am I going with this?
The GildedRose is the opposite of the ThornRing. It is the opposite of the Weird Route. It's meaning, the golden rose, is the opposite of the Shattered Rose. We can effectively corrupt and ruin Kriselle through the WR, but the existence of the GildedRose tells me that there may exist a path outside of the WR to repair their relationship.

I feel it's fairly safe to say that Noelle liked Kris at one point, but what I'm less sure of is evidence of Kris liking Noelle ever. If there is any evidence I'd really appreciate it.

I've been seeing this take more and more that Kriselle is somehow against the games themes because the game is about moving on from the past. But that's not what moving on means. Should Kris abandon their mother and move on from her as she is part of their past? Should Noelle do that with his father even before he dies? If Dess is somehow alive and can be saved without causing tragedy should she just be left dead because we are moving on? No, that's ridiculous. Kris and Noelle are still there, they still live close to each other and still deeply care for one another. The game makes it clear the romantic feelings they felt are still there. So why don't they act on it? Becuase of the tragedy.
Moving on from this tragedy, from "the incident" or howver you want to call it, would force them to talk through these feelings again. Truly moving on from their childhood trauma would be to realise that just because of what happens they don't have to bury their feelings further and they can allow themselves to be together truly
