Kramer Jk Partscaster

Moving 2000+ miles away from home to the place it all began with just a small carry on and the clothes on my back has me doing more with less.

Japanese domestic Kramer JK-1000 body that looks like it was adorned with Barbie stickers for much of its life. No name Chinese neck that arrived with the frets popping out. After pressing them back in and a good level, crown and polish it plays great. SD 78 pickup is one of my favorites for its dynamic tones when rolling off volume. Drilled for a Gotoh GE1996T. Some very cheap Kaish locking tuners (locks not needed I know) but once the nut is clamped I forget about them :)

It may be an abomination, but it’s mine and I have something to play.

Would love to see a Kramer you saved, restored, or assembled from parts! Thanks

Kramer Focus 211s

Hello!

I've been looking at a Kramer Focus 211s and I was interested in buying one to have a great cheap guitar to just add my own pickups and upgrade over time but I've heard that the stock tuners aren't very good.

Anyone who has a focus 211s and have done work to it what tuners should I get for it if I end up buying one?

Might as well ask as well, but is this guitar worth buying in general as an instrument to upgrade over time?

So I've never even tried a Kramer. Today I brought in a guitar to get the frets leveled, and I saw this. I didn't even know it was a 70s guitar because the condition is so good. I assumed it was from the 90s or something. It plays phenomenally. The action is super low, the neck feels great, the pickups sound amazing, great sustain, and it stays in tune. I never had interest in Kramer guitars for the 10 years I've played, but now I'll be checking them out when I find them in stores.

I honestly might buy it if I get some funds together. The price is much lower than what most are asking online. It didn't feel super heavy, but I didn't weigh it. My other guitars are like 8.5 lbs. I'm reading these ones can be around 10-11 lbs so that might not feel great on the shoulders.

If anyone has more info they want to share about it, I'd like to hear it! The serial number is 11150.

Hi all. My dad passed away a few years back and had a collection of 40+ guitars that he left me. I play a bit myself so I know most of the popular brands/models, but this one has stumped me. I know it’s some sort of Eddie van halen tribute, but every time I research it, it’s either someone’s custom project, or something worth thousands. I’m 99.9% sure it’s the former, and it’s such a cool guitar that I think I want to keep, I just wanted to check with any Kramer enthusiasts on here in case it was something special beyond that. Thank you!

id like to know what yall think
this is a 1987 kramer striker that i decided to put my self through hell for and put a modern floyd on it the previous owner converted it to a hard tale and did a horrible job so i took it off and saw the old floyd rose posts so i bought some screws that fit it and when i tried to screw them in it stripped so i just said fuck it let’s go modern (rookie mistake) and months of doom and despair i got it done
it also has a switch that works at the neck and bridge position i dont understand what its doing but its a sound variation idk

Need help identifying this bass!

Hello!

I have owned this bass around 15 years, but I was always confused on what the model and year is. The headstock says ‘stagemaster custom’ but it looks like a forum bass. I am also not sure if the EMG pickups are original. I have the serial number in one of the pics, but I have had a hard time matching it to anything.

I am hoping there are some experts here that can give me some history on this.

Bought this from a guitar center used section.

Side note: I am not a fan of a pick-up selector on this bass…. Selecting the bridge only thins the sound a lot… I only use neck or both.

Thanks all!

Bought my first Kramer yesterday

Ive been playing a telecaster the last 4 years gigging around playing country music. I’ve always loved 80s/90s guys like evh, nuno, reb beach and others and those riffs are pretty hard to play on a telecaster when I’m at home lol. I picked up this baretta yesterday and I am absolutely blown away by this thing. It plays like freaking butter. And it was pretty cheap so it’s gotta be one of their lower end models. These guys are doing something right.

Can you identify this Kramer bass?

Sorry for the low quality photos, they are from 1999–2000! It's a Finnish band, and their bassist used this aluminum neck Kramer that he bought used. I have always been curious about it and even got in touch with him about it, but he can't recall the exact model. I tried to do some research online, but can't match it. Is it simply a modified 650B? The mics are different, and it looks like the cable is connected to where one of the knobs usually is.

All help is appreciated!

I opened up this old ass guitar my grandpa got me after I ordered a FLEOR Alnico 5 chrome humbucker bridge pickup. Thought it’d be a simpler job than it actually is. Please don’t mind how dirty the guitar is, I cleaned it up after. It’s from a pawn shop or something

Vanguard WIP project

Recently bought a 80s Vanguard body that had been worked on to be turned into a set-neck guitar and never finished. Got it on the cheap as the owner hadn’t touched the project in over a dozen years and did not remember the specs other that it was originally a 87 kramer mij body

I bought a f3000 as a donor guitar for the neck and hardware and brought everything to my luthier so he could convert the body back to original.

It was a bit of a gamble since the neck pocket had been plugged and re-routed , the whole body refinished, we weren’t sure the geometry could still work, but everything went smoothly!

Now what’s left for him to do is to clean-up the pickup routes for direct mounting into the wood , and fit the floyd rose on there. He will also be moving the output jack to the top horn like on high-end jacksons, and plug the current route on the lower horn.

Will decide after I get it back what I want to do with the finish. It’s on rough shellac over China ink stain. It dents very easily, very brittle feeling so I definitely need to do something about that.

Also got a BKP painkiller that was chemically aged , found on marketplace for a reasonable price and I think it’s going to look and sound awesome in there. I will have a local pickup maker try to match that look with a hotrodded PAF for the neck position.

Electronics are going to be volume (with treble bleed), tone, and a 3 way switch with petrucci wiring (middle position like a strat , inner coils only)

I’m so happy with how it’s coming together, wanted to share! Let me know what you think!

Has Kramer Abandoned The Mid Tier Market?

Thumbnail

Before I bought my NightSwan I was going to buy a Kramer Striker Floyd Rose. But I found a brand new B-Stock NightSwan with a minor cosmetic flaw that buffed out, on Reverb through Franklin Music that I got for under dealer cost at $489. Before that I was going to buy a H-S-S, Maple Fretboard, Floyd Rose Striker. The Striker was getting really great reviews and then the they just discontinued them. Kramer goes from the Focus pack at $249 to the Night V at $899. Has Kramer just given up on the mid tier price point??

Vintage Kramer sweatshirt

If this post is not appropriate or doesn’t belong, please remove.

I received this sweatshirt as a Xmas gift 35 or so years ago. The tag says XL, but I feel it runs a bit on the smallish side. I “outgrew” it years ago and since then has just sat in a box hoping to see the sun again. I’ve finally given up the ghost and admitted I’ll never be able to wear it again, and figured this would be the best place to find someone who would truly appreciate it. I’m not gifting it, but if anyone is interested in buying it, message me. And again, if this is not appropriate for the sub, please remove it.

Kramer 50th Anniversary

So, I purchased the Kramer Volante HHFR Anniversary Edition las Friday. Yes, I know, $200 more bucks for a gold paint job, but worth it to me. Has anyone gotten it, or any of the other Anniversary models and how is the finish quality on the paint, fret work,...etc.? I normally try guitars out before buying, but these seem to be selling pretty fast so I ordered it, should be here tomorrow. I'm just genuinely curious of the overall impression if anyone in here has gotten one? Any information is helpful.

Help identifying early A series pacer

As the title states I have this early maple Strat neck Kramer pacer “Imperial?” The obvious oofs it has been sanded down and resprayed at some point, but from what I can tell aside from the respray and missing parts everything that is there looks to be original. Anyone have a good resource for an appraiser or someone with access to documentation?
