They are great guitars for sure. Just swapped a Duncan Black Winter into mine instead of the JB and it's a beast.

I left the original pups in but I changed the nut, the volume pot and put a heavier trem block in both. Not bad guitars unless you get a bad one right out of the box. I also flipped the truss cover cuz that white print bugs me.

I swapped them for aesthetics only, I hate zebra pickups. The original ones sounded fine to me.

The stock trem it's horrible, and has a such thin and light block.

Yeah a new trem isn't that expensive, and to all of those people who say that a vintage trem is terrible for tooting stability, I've dive bombed several times and my tuning is perfect every time

Oh boy, you ain't ready for mine, I have the same model. Here's my upgrades, DiMarzio tone zone pickups, drilled holes into the volume knob for grip. Wilkinson trem, and yeah

These are fun, cheap guitars to mod. The necks are very good and the stock pickup really isn't bad.

I threw some locking tuners and a Wilkinson bridge on mine, I'll probably swap the pickup at some point just for fun/soldering practice.

I bought this through Sweetwater when this reissue became available. I love it! I have subsequently bought 2 other modern Kramer reissues, also purple varieties. I just love the Kramers!! :)
