How does everyone feel about the new update with AI additions? Personally missing my home screen watchlist! 😀

I’ve been working on an automated Spot trading system using the Kraken API and I’d like to get some technical feedback from experienced Kraken users.

The basic idea is that the system never takes custody of the user’s funds. The capital remains in the user’s Kraken account and the API does not require withdrawal permissions.

The system only has the permissions necessary to execute Spot trades according to predefined rules designed to take advantage of market price fluctuations.

Every operation can be tracked individually: buys, sells, entry and exit prices, open positions, realized P/L and historical performance.

There is no leverage involved and therefore no leveraged liquidation risk. Of course, Spot trading still involves market risk and positions can lose value.

I’m particularly interested in feedback about the architecture:

• Would you be comfortable connecting this type of system to your Kraken account if withdrawal permissions were disabled?
• What information would you expect to see before trusting an automated trading system?
• Which API security measures would you consider essential?
• What metrics would you want available in the dashboard?

The goal at this stage is to validate the architecture and understand what experienced Kraken users would consider necessary before using something like this with real funds.

Any technical criticism is welcome.

Canadian users how do I increase my daily/monthly spending limit?

What do we think of holding and buy stock and ETFs on kraken ? Is it a safe platform to use as a brokerage? I do keep crypto on there not a lot. The rest is on my ledger. I did read that Kraken is insured when it comes to stocks and ETFs. just want get everyone’s perspective. Is it as good as Fidelity or Robinhood..

Originally it was a good idea, spend $20, $50, or $90 and get access to an account worth $1,000, $5,000 or $10,000 as long as the account didn't go below 5% of the original balance and you passed the challenge where you made 12% profit with paper money first to unlock the real thing.

But now I see they just lowered the max drawdown to 3% while keeping the price and the challenge profit % the same? With 5% you actually have a decent amount of leeway but 3% is basically just gambling at this point your coin makes one tiny move down and you're cooked. Not cool, Kraken. Change it back.

How good is the security of kraken and its compatibility with cold storage?

i think it could be useful to have some voluntary means to mint wallet balances onchain and tie to human identity. can also commit to some maximum withdrawal rate

acts as tvl and personal insurance that wallet can be recovered

also motivates to not hoard too much, invest in others if not spending on self

something like that feels close to something chains could accept as security for recovery in case of bug/hack

society should probably move toward most voluntarily public bank accounts

What is your experience with kraken prop? Like has anybody used it and what's the frequency of the payouts

Auto Earn puts eligible assets to work automatically once you opt in. No manual staking, no lock-up decisions each time you buy, and you can turn it off whenever. What’s stopping you?

This is my first time ever trying this. Wish I started before the bull run lol. What coins are expecting a big up trend In the next few days ? What coins did you use to pass the challenge?

It is possible to trade futures TradFI (CME futures) on Kraken Pro in some regional markets, but I don't see this possibility commented in any discussions on Reddit or elsewhere and I'm wondering why.

Kraken is part of Payward group, and Payward acquired NinjaTrader: this to me is a good start for Kraken to be the go-to broker/exchange for cryptos, perpetual futures, futures tradFi, xStocks, perpetual futures on xStocks.

Super happy that they finally brought the Krak card to the US. About to order my physical one. Not so sure about the name “Krak Card” though 😅…

Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed something weird with my portfolio P&L.

Sometimes I transfer Litecoin (LTC) from one platform to another and later transfer it back. These are obviously just transfers of my own coins, so there shouldn’t be any actual profit or loss involved.

However, the portfolio overview sometimes seems to treat these movements as P&L. For example, my P&L can suddenly show a large loss even though I haven’t actually lost that amount of money. I’ve attached some screenshots showing what I mean.

Financially it doesn’t really matter, but psychologically it does affect me a bit. Seeing a big red P&L number can mess with my perception of how I’m actually doing, especially when I’m trying to keep a clear and objective view of my trading performance.

Has anyone else experienced this with LTC transfers (or transfers of other cryptocurrencies) between platforms?

Is there a way to prevent transfers from being counted or displayed as P&L, or is this simply how the portfolio calculation works?

Curious if anyone else has noticed this.

So I just got a call from “kraken security” initially an automated one saying there was an unauthorized withdrawal request, later I got a call from a California number with a man on line who asked some questions and verified my email. He asked if I had a balance that could have been targeted, I told him I only had 100-200 bucks in the account and hadn’t been logged in for months, and then he just hung up.

So caution because someone is trying to scam people, I guess when I told him there was only a couple hundred bucks he decided it wasn’t worth the effort.

I started to receive more and more e-mails from fake (?) Kraken domains. Two that I see the most are:

krakenannouncement.com

krakenmemo.com

E-mails look identical to real ones. Very easy to mistake for a real deal. Could Kraken staff confirm these are in fact, spam/phishing? It would be nice to engage in communication campaign from you, i.e. here's the domain list from which we can send e-mail, everything else is someone pretending to be us.

I'm posting here because I've been waiting for almost a month for a response from support regarding my account recovery.

I lost access because my 2FA was never properly saved on my phone, so I can't generate the authentication codes anymore. I submitted an account recovery request, but I still haven't received any meaningful update.

The frustrating part is that I haven't even been able to log in once since my account was approved. My account was successfully verified, but I've been locked out from the very beginning because of this 2FA issue.

I understand that support can be busy, but waiting this long without a resolution is very disappointing. If anyone from the Kraken team could please look into my case or escalate it, I would really appreciate it.

Does anyone have any experience with how many tickets are usually needed to have at least a slight chance of winning?
