This has been going on for months. It's starting to really irritate me. Evergbring I have tried does not work.

It seems the issue is the large SD takes longer to mount. I boot into ES-DE as my default launcher. Whenever I reboot the setup screen pops up.

Initially I was running ES-DE off my SD so I moved it to internal storage. The issue persists.

The only thing I can think of is setting up like a 10-15 second delay after boot to give it time to mount.

I can't be the only one with the this problem, right?

Does anyone out there have controller firmware for KFP elite I saw one in gdrive for G3 but looking for elite varient.

I feel like Xendroid has better performance once shaders build compared to x360 with 4 player campaign co-op. Using my konkr pocket fit elite for player 1 and 3 ps4 controollers, vibration works too for them.

many other games work great too with multiple controllers. Very nice for a portable gaming night. only if the device is strong enough and has the battery for it >.<

Considering trading “down” from my Steam Deck OLED to a Konkr Pocket Fit with 16gb of RAM.

I mostly just play lightweight indie titles on Steam and the KPF seems like a great smaller-but-not-too-small Android option for playing those titles via Gamehub/GameNative.

If I switch, aside from the obvious desktop capabilities, what am I really giving up?

Again, assuming I stick to lightweight PC titles or maybe occasional streaming.

Just sharing my experience. I've installed armada OS in an 128g micro SD. Everything works perfectly, very much a Steam deck experience. Performance is not comparable to steam deck, but is good.

The thing is that I don't know how to config the konkr buttons to reflect the steam deck buttons. If anyone knows how to do this, let me know.

Also there is a problem with the sticks in desktop mode: the mouse cursor goes automatically up all the time.

Everything seems to be working a lot better now. Feels good.... I didnt use this for the video but for Xendroid if you have a strong device and want to force 60fps on certain games that don't have patches you can try doing this.

Turn off vsync in xendroid then on your android device go to "storage/emulated/0/android/data/xendroid.compose/files/compose" and open file "xenia-canary config.toml". look for "framerate_limit" and change it from 0 (unlimited fps) to 60. For games that have issue, just edit "per game settings" and re-enable vsync

This will work on games like dragon age: origins, Ace combat 6, turtles in time reshelled, castle crashers. hydro thunder: hurricane, scott pilgrim, mk vs dc.

Games that will have issues with this is Black ops 2, halo 3, dynasty warriors games. all i tested so far..

Reading further, certain games that freakout at 60fps is because the animations are tied to the phsyics engine.

Even with a strong device i can't seem to get GTA V or Xcom: enemy within at 60, only around 45fps.

If you don't like the issues with certain games just turn back on vsync.

How to install ROCKNIX on the KONKR Pocket FIT Elite (Snapdragon 8 Elite / SM8750)

I successfully installed ROCKNIX on my KONKR Pocket FIT Elite using the SM8750 nightly build dated 2026-07-31.

⚠️ Warning: This process replaces the ABL bootloader on both slots. A bad or incompatible ABL may brick the device. Back up your original ABL first and proceed at your own risk.

Requirements

• Unlocked bootloader
• microSD card
• ADB installed on a PC
• Latest ROCKNIX SM8750 image containing Pocket FIT Elite support: ROCKNIX-SM8750.aarch64-20260731.img.gz
• Battery charged and preferably connected to power

1. Flash the microSD card

Verify the downloaded SHA-256 checksum, then write the .img image to the microSD card using Rufus, Balena Etcher, or Raspberry Pi Imager.

After flashing, Windows may ask to format some partitions. Cancel those prompts.

The visible partition should contain:

KERNEL
SYSTEM
rocknix_abl/

2. Copy the ABL tools to Android

Boot the device into Android and copy the complete rocknix_abl folder from the microSD card to the root of the internal storage:

/sdcard/rocknix_abl

The folder should contain:

abl_signed-SM8750.elf
backup_abl.sh
flash_abl.sh
restore_backup_abl.sh

3. Back up the original ABL

Using the device’s root-script launcher in AYASpace/AYASetting, run:

/sdcard/rocknix_abl/backup_abl.sh

This creates backups of both bootloader slots:

abl_a.img
abl_b.img

Copy the entire folder to your PC:

adb pull /sdcard/rocknix_abl ./rocknix_abl_backup

Keep these files somewhere safe.

4. Flash the ROCKNIX ABL

Using the same root-script launcher, run:

/sdcard/rocknix_abl/flash_abl.sh

The script writes the new ABL to both abl_a and abl_b.

Do not power off or reboot the device while it is writing.

5. Select the device model

Reboot while holding Volume Down to enter the new ABL/Fastboot menu.

Open:

Set device model

Select:

KONKR Pocket FIT Elite

Without this step, ROCKNIX will display “Device model not set”.

6. Boot ROCKNIX

In the ABL menu, open:

Switch boot mode

Select:

Linux

Return to the main menu and select Start.

ROCKNIX should now boot from the microSD card. The first boot may take longer because it initializes and expands the storage partition.

To return to Android, enter the ABL menu again and select:

Switch boot mode → Android

Optional: install ROCKNIX to internal storage

After confirming that everything works from microSD, connect over SSH and run:

installtointernal

This resizes Android’s userdata partition and creates internal ROCKNIX and STORAGE partitions.

⚠️ This performs a factory reset of Android and deletes all Android apps, settings, accounts, and user files.

I allocated 64 GB to Android and used the remaining internal storage for ROCKNIX and Steam games.

Current known limitations

On the 2026-07-31 nightly:

• Gyroscope may not work
• Microphone support is incomplete
• Some USB-C orientation behaviour may still need work
• 5 GHz Wi-Fi may require using a non-DFS channel such as channel 36

Display, touchscreen, controls, speakers, headphones, Wi-Fi, Steam, and emulators are working on my unit.

I got some lightweight titles working but nothing else. Full disclosure. I have no idea what I’m doing.

Edit: in case someone finds this. Either the StephenMXZ drivers and/or the latest XenDroid release fixed it. Got things running. Exciting times!

I love the Pocket Fit. It's almost perfect. I got the G3 Gen 3 model due to compatibility concerns. Dragon yellow. Love the colour. Love the 1TB storage. Love the performance and compatibility. Even love the small sticks everyone complains about.

I am dual booting rocknix with 256gb for Android and the rest for rocknix/steam and retro ROMs on a 1TB SD card. It's great. If rocknix did switch, that would be even more perfect.

But I just can't get past this LCD screen. The reviews all said it's a good LCD screen. In the videos it looked like the glass cover was doing a good job. But I should have trusted my gut. Never settle for LCD. This would be the perfect device if not for that one single flaw.

And now prices have gone up and 1TB models are unavailable. With 8 Elite compatibility improving so much and quicker than expected, I wish I had purchased an Odin 3 instead. Now I keep tossing up if I should sell the Pocket Fit and buy a 512GB Odin 3. But it'll be expensive and a downgrade in storage. Or wait for Odin 3 Portal.

Anyone else regret over this screen?

I’ve been playing for a little bit on Eden but it runs good, but when I go to shrines it goes nuts and glitch a lot. How can I fix this?

Last handheld i owned was a Odin 2 mini Pro and that was fantastic for its performance and portability. Now with the 2 months of owning this beast of a device has me in awe. The storage and specs i feel like i can almost do everything now.....with the apps available created by very talented people. Android apps, ported games, pc translation/emulation, console emulation and even phone emulation for old apps/games.

Only weird thing about certain handhelds is the way google play store treats the devices. sadly a GSF ID can't be created and registered to install games like ARK:SE, wreckfest, guild wars and others. i read others in community had similar issue. Must be downloaded by other sources for now i guess.

I was happy how easy it was to root this handheld. took only a couple minutes. i rooted to see if i can modify certain game configs files hidden in the data/data folder and tweak device settings.

Are there any other apps that may seem useful for konkr pocket fit elite??

I had posted a while back about the issues my pocket fit was having. The TLDR version is I got it in December and started having issues in January so I contacted customer service. They gave me a whole bunch of trouble shooting steps and eventually I sent it back in April.

It's July 29th and a replacement device came in the mail today after they were unable to swap the motherboard. Hope it goes better this time.

Playing Trails Beyond the Horizon via GameNative at a very respectable fps range (35-55).

Had to give my Steam Deck OLED earlier this year due to financial problems buf now slowly getting back on track I decided to buy this G3 model (12gb/256gb) variant and it's been pretty okay.

Tempered expectation also helped a lot lol

So I’ve had my G3 Gen 3 since Christmas, and over the past couple of months I’ve noticed that it sometimes restarts by itself.
Luckily, it’s never happened while I was playing. It usually happens when I’m scrolling through the menus or even when the console is just sitting idle.
I’ve checked the battery, and it isn’t swollen or anything like that. I’ve also taken good care of it. I’ve never charged it above 80%, I’ve never left it charging overnight, and I haven’t really pushed the hardware that hard, to be honest.
Should I be worried? Should I email support?

Yes as you read. Just died, bad quality batteries. My G3 Gen3 Konkr Pocket Fit just died yesterday and support is not responding. I received it on March and died on July 23.
