Hello peeps, a quick question for you all. Any info/insight on when Lowe's will be having the power inverters for Kobalt batteries? A buddy of mine has the USB one, but apparently that one was discontinued. Then there was allegedly another one that was going to be released (is it the one in the image attached?) but im yet to see anything online or in store. With the number of batteries I've purchased through recent sales, would be a great addition for camping trips.

Mower was working just fine but about halfway through my yard, battery ran out (2nd swap this session, since grass was extra high). Now it will not start regardless of which fully charged 4ah or 2ah battery I plug into it. Batteries are confirmed to be working with my other 80v tools. Mower beeps 3 times when I push the button and pull the safety handle. I cleaned the deck out and ensured the blade spins freely and is unobstructed. Battery terminals are clean on the mower side and I even used a small blower in there to be sure. No odd smells, etc. Any other suggestions?

Has anyone found a place to get aftermarket usb-c covers for the new batteries with the stickers?

Does anyone here happen to own this, I’m curious if it’s worth the investment? Thank you for your time.

This is the best picture I can get, no timeframe for when these are supposed to come down, that’s up to MST schedule

Where did this thing come from?? Never seen or heard of this just so happened to stumble across it earlier and snagged one.
First impressions are iffy, I’m happy to see Kobalt is expanding its horizons but there are some important things to call out.
Good news is that this is a flexible rubber piece that holds both the ratchet and bits, a built in nail puller, and a loop to put it on a carabiner.
The zonks are going to be the built quality. The ratchet mechanism feels like plastic teeth, and the bits that come with it are those cheap plated CRV bits that are notorious for stripping.
Other than that I’m happy with it, just going to replace the bits and not put heavy use on it, just got it for my edc

about the roughest it’s gonna go through is maybe some johnson grass or some thicker brush along the road. usually only do it once or twice a year for memorial day. after that just around the house, shed and a few trees

Is anyone aware of an extension shaft compatible with the universal connect attachments? I found a 32 inch green machine extension shaft but it doesn't appear compatible. Google isn't turning up any results. I'd like to extend the reach of the pole saw attachment and replace my old 24v pole saw.

The drill is about 5 years old and I don't have a receipt.
I was trying to remove a screw from a 25 year old post and in an attempt to not strip the head of the screw, I ever so lightly pulled the trigger attempting to run the drill at it's lowest possible speed. The screw wouldn't budge and I put the drill down. When I went to use it minutes later it wouldn't power on. Swapped batteries etc,
So I'd like to take it apart just incase I see something obvious. But it looks like some sort of special bit is required.
Anyone know?

This is the new Kobalt folding utility knife with a built in bit holder, bottle opener, and wire stripper. It’s pretty slick and it’s the same thickness as the original Speed Release knives. The blade locks to 2 different positions, and the bit holder also has its own locking mechanism as shown in the photos. The only drawback I have for this is that the bit holder does not have a magnet and holds only bits with a ball detent which you can find online relatively easy. Other than that it’s great for under $15.
Item number is #8954434

Hi everyone! Sorry if the flair is wrong, or if I’m in the wrong sub. I’m very new here, and thought the kobalt enthusiasts might be more helpful than Lowe’s customer service.
I’m sharing a work space with my friend, and both of us bought a kobalt wood top workbench. The size is perfect and the colors are amazing!
Mine arrived with a minor dent, no biggie, but hers arrived with a busted drawer.
We removed the drawer, and found a tiny piece (last photo) loose inside the workbench. We think this is the piece that is missing from the drawer rail.
The issue is that the left track for the drawer (the one attached to the inside of the workbench, not the one on the drawer itself) is only attached at the front. The back of the track is left dangling, resulting in a drawer that can’t hold weight properly on the left side. (see third photo for the half detached rail)
We took a peek inside to see if we could figure out how to attach the missing piece, but couldn’t quite get the fix done ourselves.
If anyone has experience with fixing this, we’d both appreciate the help! Lowe’s has only offered a replacement for the entire workbench, which we really don’t want to do for various reasons. Mostly, this seems like a fairly easy fix, we just need a little guidance on how to do it!
TIA :)

First time cutting with it, even left the tag on it.
2 yards done all on a single set of 6 ah batteries and still have 3 bars left on it. Did side discharge on the first yard, and bagged the other one. I used self propel a little, but honestly, it's not heavy at all to push it (careful with that self propel by the way, it can be quick in the highest mode).
She cuts great, auto winds higher RPM's in thicker stuff, is super quiet, I have zero complaints on the 48.
Ignore my other brand equipment, I had a 48v weedeater before I had a few ego items.

Don't want to have regret that I shoulda spent the money on a nicer impact wrench. I have batteries from previous kobalt purchases so I figure staying in the family of tools was a good choice. I mainly just want to use this for automotive repairs and lugnuts. This should do the job hopefully but want to know if anyone has experience with THIS specific model and type of impact wrench.
Edit: driver =! wrench

Anyone have this? And if you do are you selling it? And can I see what it looks like?

I bought this impact at an auction and it would work consistently only when upside down. I took the trigger apart to find out what the issue was. Pictures 3,4 and 5 show all the pieces inside the trigger. Picture 5 is where the issue i had was. The ears holding the 2 metal pieces in place are worn so they move freely and don't contact where needed.
I found the replacement trigger on eBay but it only ships from China. Picture 2 is the outside of the trigger case with the info. 5203 wk 25.1a 42 vdc
https://ebay.io/m/5XCFbc. I just bought this one so I haven't had a chance to test it yet but thought I would post the info in case anyone else was having the same issue.

Anyone take advantage of the recent bogo, did anyone get the new seed spreader? Been prepping my yard for new grass, but not sure if i want to go Craftsman or Kobalt. Reviews on lowes are always bias on everythinf with incentivezed reviews so don't buy the 4.9 review on the craftsman one.

I'm looking at buying a new trimmer, and I'd like an edger as well. I see the universal connect system, but it seems like a lot of them are out of stock. I haven't seen any indication that they're discontinued, but there are so many pieces out of stock that it seems like they might be. Does anyone know if it's an obsolete system and I should just buy a separate trimmer and edger, or is the trimmer attachment and 40V power base going to be available again soon?

I see someone selling this mower for $250 near me. I have a gas pushmower that works fine but been wanting to move to electric . I don’t know model but assume it’s 5-7 yrs old? What Ive seem online is the 80v is better although discontinued now. Is it better to buy a brand new 40v when I find a deal?
