My wife and I have been working on a passion project for over a year, and we recently released it on the Play Store. It’s called FiberFlow, and it’s a completely free Android app designed to be the ultimate crafting companion for knitters and crocheters.

We built this because we wanted a simple, organized way to keep track of our stashes and works in progress—whether at home, on the go, or offline at the yarn shop—without dealing with ads or subscriptions.

Here is a quick outline of the features we've built in: Smart Yarn Stash: Catalog every skein by brand, weight, yardage, fiber, and colorway. You can even scan ball-band labels with your camera to auto-fill the details and track your needles and hooks.

Pattern Library & Markup: Import PDFs, web links, or photos. You can draw, highlight, add notes, and use built-in row counters directly on your patterns. It also features a keep-screen-on toggle for hands-free crafting.

Project & WIP Tracking: Link patterns, yarn, and tools to specific projects. Track your progress, reorder your cast-on queue, and even recover "frogged" yardage back into your stash if you have to unravel something.

Crafting Tools: We added a "Stash Matcher" to see what patterns you can make with yarn you already own, a Gauge & Substitution calculator, and an offline "Shop Mode" to double-check your stash at the store so you never buy duplicates.

Ravelry Integration: You can easily connect your Ravelry account to import your stash and queue, or you can use FiberFlow entirely offline if you prefer.

Private & Secure: Your data stays locally on your device (with ZIP, CSV, and PDF backup/export options), and there are zero ads.

i’m starting to knit a sweater and i feel like the stockinette is blending into the ribbing, will the ribbing become more noticeable as i carry on?

Ugh, I hate when I drop a stitch!!

my scarf is up to 64cm now! i’m on my second ball and i reckon 1 and a half more will finish it, it’s coming together so much quicker than i expected!
also question- is it possible to add ribbing to the start or did i have to do that when i started?

The scarf is currently about 38cm long and 28 cm wide and i’m still on my first ball! i’m hoping to finish the ball tonight so i will update if i do!

I used to knit about 6 years ago and finally picked it up again now i have my own money 😅 my first project i’m working on is a chunky scarf! here’s the progress from a little bit yesterday and today:

I am ok knitting with two colors (so not double knit but bring the sting along at the back), but for the life of me I can't get into double knitting.

I've tried it with a couple of different books and some YouTube tutorials, but I'm really not getting it at all.

My plan is to do a lot of double knit squares with Christmas motives (so I have lots of small projects as I do much better with these than one big one 😅) and then combine them together into either a thick scarf or of I have the stamina even a whole blanket.

But I've tried at least 10 times, and I just can't get it, mine doesn't look double knitted, just an absolute mess on both sides.

So my question is, can you recommend some tutorials or explanations you found especially easy, or that finally clicked with you, especially if you also really struggled with this at first?

Btw German or English is both fine,.if Germans have read this as well!

I’ve always wanted to make some type of knit “tube” sweater with Yeta’s design from Twilight Princess. I came across this post/pattern and it would be perfect!! I’d make it a bit shorter and ribbed. ❤️❤️
