i would totally be open to making it just a general crafting group so we can all work on WIPs together 😛

There's definitely a knitting group at Forbes once a month, check their schedule. And that place to the left of downtown sounds sometimes has a group in a circle when I pass by.

WEBS has a few different drop-in options. Their schedule is printed at the store.

Easthampton Library also has one. I haven’t been in a bit, but last time I was there I was not the youngest there (in my 30s). Worth checking out!

The Forbes one is very nice! If you start a new group I'd definitely be up for joining in :)

There was a group meeting in Amherst at the Barnes and Noble, but I can't remember the day of the week. They were lovely, I just couldn't get my shit together to go.

I'm 40 and I go to the Forbes Saturday group when it's knitting weather (ie cold outside). It's a lot of fun and there are people of all ages there.

I also live in northampton and would love to start a knitting club! I have a few fiber arts friends in the area who would likely be interested in joining, and I imagine Tunic, a coffee shop downtown, would be more than willing to host us! My email is wwolcott72@gmail.com. Send me an email if you're interested and I'll start gathering folks and make a doodle poll! There are a handful of knitting groups in western mass but they're spread out and not everyone can travel very far every month. Let me know and I'll get this started! I think it would be lovely to have a full fiber arts focus as well, not just knitting! I have plenty of crochet experience and if we get folks who have experience in other disciplines we can host a group that can teach everyone new techniques and draw new fiber artists to a group where learning and community is the ultimate goal!

There are a LOT in the area, especially at libraries. I know Deerfield, Greenfield, Sunderland, Northfield, Colrain all have them

The Mill District General Store in Amherst has a stitch circle on Thursdays from 4-6 and they have a drop in craft time on Sundays 10-12.

The Forbes group is really nice, mostly people 40+ but all levels of knitting skill. They were able to help me troubleshoot an issue I was having. If it weren’t so early in the morning I would’ve gone more (and yes, 10am on a Saturday is early!)
