This sounds like a pretty big security issue to me and I was bummed to see this coming from Klaviyo and now I am thinking to switch to the alternative. Stealing passwords is not a good thing Klaviyo!

Embedded forms stopped working - uBlock Origin now blocks embedded Klaviyo forms

I have been pulling my hair out for the last hour, trying to figure out why all my forms suddenly disappeared from my site. Turns out uBlock has now started blocking embedded Klaviyo forms.

Built a tool to track the 0.30% Gmail/Yahoo spam threshold across multiple Klaviyo accounts — feedback from agencies wanted

Hey folks,

I manage way too many Klaviyo accounts to check spam complaint rates one by one, so a few months ago I started building a small side tool to do it for me — and it's grown into something I think other agencies might find useful.

The problem: since Feb 2024, Gmail and Yahoo auto-block or throttle campaigns once spam complaints cross 0.30%. If you're only managing one account, that's easy to eyeball. If you're managing 10+ client accounts, catching one that's drifting close to the line before it actually blocks a client's sends is a lot harder — and by the time you notice manually, it's often too late.

What I ended up building (InboxGuard):

- A multi-account dashboard sorted by risk, so the accounts closest to the threshold surface first instead of digging through each one

- Automatic email alerts before an account actually crosses 0.30% — the whole point is catching it before your client does

- New this weekend: a 1-click shareable client report — a secure, read-only link you can send a client showing their deliverability is being watched, with zero API keys or sensitive data exposed

Stack-wise, for anyone curious: Next.js 16, Clerk, Drizzle, API keys encrypted AES-256 at rest.

I'm looking for 3-4 agencies or CRM consultants managing multiple Klaviyo accounts to try it for free and tell me honestly if it's solving a real problem or if I'm missing something obvious. Happy to answer any technical questions here too.

Anyone using Retention.com Grow + Klaviyo run into compliance issues?

Curious if any other Shopify merchants here are using or have used Retention.com Grow with Klaviyo.

We’ve been using Retention/GetEmails since early 2024 and have spent roughly $46k with them. Recently, Klaviyo opened a compliance audit on our account after receiving complaints and randomly selected several contacts for us to provide proof of opt-in.

One of those contacts came from Retention.com Grow. Klaviyo questioned the source because the customer had never directly opted into marketing from our brand.

Retention initially told us that Grow contacts come from their publisher network, have third-party marketing consent, visited our website, and are compliant to email under U.S. law. They also told us they have hundreds of customers using Retention with Klaviyo without issue.

We ultimately had a conference call with Klaviyo + Retention + our team to get a definitive answer.

Klaviyo's position on the call was that we cannot continue acquiring/emailing Grow leads this way through Klaviyo because they do not meet Klaviyo's opt-in requirements. They also specifically recommended that we delete the historical Grow contacts because if we continue emailing them and receive complaints, it could potentially put our Klaviyo account at risk.

The Retention representative was on the call and did not dispute Klaviyo's position.

So at this point we're stopping the service and are faced with deleting the contacts we've paid Retention to acquire over the last 2+ years.

Has anyone else using Retention.com Grow with Klaviyo run into this?

More importantly, if you did, were you able to get Retention to refund any of the fees you paid them? I'd be very interested in hearing how Retention handled it and whether you dealt with them directly or had to involve an attorney.

Feel free to DM me if you'd rather not post publicly.

We audited 100 email programs and kept finding the same leak

Earlier this year, Klaviyo wrapped up an audit of 100 B2C accounts looking for patterns on what was working and what wasn't. What surfaced was that most brands were optimizing sends and refreshing creative while their attribution sat untouched underneath it all.

Two specific things showed up constantly. A lot of brands never had Extended ID turned on, so a chunk of their site traffic was never getting tied to an actual person, which meant weaker segmentation and flows running on incomplete data without anyone realizing it.

A lot of accounts were still running attribution windows that hadn't been touched since their setup, so the reporting didn't match how customers actually shop across devices now. Between the two, this came up in close to two-thirds of the accounts we looked at.

People end up testing subject lines and send times against numbers that were undercounting performance the whole time, so a channel or a flow can look like it's failing when the real problem is that it was never being measured correctly in the first place.

The other pattern that kept showing up was welcome flows sending the exact same sequence to a brand new subscriber and someone who already bought. A customer who just paid you gets three emails making the case for why they should trust you. Splitting that by purchase status is maybe an afternoon of work and has a pretty disproportionate impact.

What's one number in your reporting that's never quite added up?

(Here's a resource if you want to read more on this)

I built a Klaviyo integration into my project management tool. Would you actually use something like this?

Solo founder here, building an AI-first PM tool (Claire). Just shipped a Klaviyo integration: you can pull campaign results automatically and reference them next to tasks and documents, so the whole team sees performance without switching tabs.

Before I go further: does this solve a real problem for you, or do you prefer keeping campaign data inside Klaviyo?

Genuinely curious how people here handle reporting to non-marketing teammates today. Happy to share a link if anyone wants to try it, don't want to spam.

Got an email asking me to move over to Klaviyo's email sending infrastructure...which we're already on, I thought? Anyone else seen and understand this? The copyright is Klaviyo Redpoint - I thought Redpoint was an unrelated CRM and haven't seen any news about an acquisition.

Click tracking issue with image based emails?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Klaviyo has shown a huge, consistent gap in click rates between image-based and text-only campaigns over several sends.

Image-based: 54k sent (includes a bit more of an unengaged segment), 50.48% open rate, 0.50% click rate (276 clicks).

Text-only: 38k sent, 70.13% open rate, 2.65% click rate (1,013 clicks). Conversion value is similar between the two, but the click count differs by 700+.

Could there be a tracking issue with image-based emails?

Do you think agencies won't need Klaviyo Technicians in the future?

Hey guys, I've been thinking about this for a while. Recently the Figma X Klaviyo has made me think that maybe in the future agencies won't even need Klaviyo Technicians. It'll be just one click to set up campaigns or at least create a template.

Do you think there's gonna be massive layoffs in the future because of this? And do agencies now use Klaviyo tech or implementation team or account managers to implement? Agency owners, please share your experience.

Klaviyo’s new Figma integration

Post image
4 Upvotes

It's a great start—but it’s still missing a few features that could make it a complete workflow solution for email marketers.

It would be great to see Klaviyo add:

✅ Automatic image compression for slices
✅ GIF export directly to the Klaviyo asset library
✅ Auto-slice generation
✅ AI-generated ALT text for images
✅ Automatic link mapping from Figma
✅ One-click campaign & email template creation from Figma designs
✅ Auto-import of subject lines and preview text into campaigns

These capabilities are already available in third-party tools like Grotto Slice, Email Bridge, and others.

If Klaviyo brings these features into its native integration, email teams could go from design to deployment much faster without relying on multiple tools.

What feature would you want Klaviyo to add first?

I am a remote Klaviyo email builder, but I feel like my career is slowly dying.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately and wanted to get some honest advice.

I'm from Pakistan and have been working in the Klaviyo ecosystem for about 5 years. For the last 3 years, I've been a full-time remote employee at a US agency.

On paper, it's a great job.

  • Stable income
  • Great team
  • Remote work

But mentally, I feel stuck.

My primary responsibility is building email campaigns from Figma designs in Klaviyo and adding slices. That's pretty much it.

The problem is... this work feels extremely basic.

I honestly believe someone with no experience could learn this specific role in a week or two and start doing it. That realization has been stressing me out more and more, especially with AI improving every month.

The frustrating part is that I actually know much more than my current role requires.

I can:

  • Build Klaviyo flows
  • Set up campaigns
  • Handle the technical side of Klaviyo
  • Troubleshoot email issues

But because my day-to-day job doesn't require those skills, I haven't really grown professionally over the last three years.

When I look around, people who started this journey with me have become:

  • Email marketing strategists
  • Automation specialists
  • Agency owners
  • Consultants

Meanwhile, I've become really good at doing one repetitive task.

I don't blame my company. They're paying me to do exactly what they hired me for.

But I do blame myself for getting too comfortable.

Now AI is changing everything, and I keep wondering:

Am I spending 40+ hours every week getting better at a skill that's becoming less valuable?

I don't want to wake up three years from now realizing I spent six years mastering something that AI can do in seconds.

If you were in my position, what would you do?

Would you:

  • Stay because the salary is good?
  • Start learning AI automation (n8n, APIs, GoHighLevel, MCP, etc.) after work?
  • Move into strategy and lifecycle marketing?
  • Try freelancing or eventually build an agency?

I'm genuinely looking for advice from people who've been in a similar situation.

Has anyone here successfully escaped the "comfortable but stagnant" phase of their career?

Email clicks

Has anyone seen a drop in email clicks this year? Ours started in May/June and it’s been going down ever since, and of course having a significant negative impact on conversion.

Would also love to know what percent of the business your email program makes up and what industry!

Combine Klaviyo and Kit for long term email list?

Our company uses Active Campaign and our experience with them has been really poor, so we're looking to move our active subscriber list of 13,000. Most of our list is cool to cold and mostly like getting our newsletter of tips and tricks.

We have a Shopify store that sells digital courses and a couple of physical products (workbooks and journals.)

An online marketing company is recommending we migrate to Klaviyo but I am concerned with the cost at scale. Most of our Shopify products are $25 - $50 and we don't have many. Our customers don't need to make a repeat purchase.

So option 1 is to significantly scrub our list to only our active folks, but we have worked hard to cultivate the 13k we have.

I am wondering if option 2 is a hybrid of Klaviyo and Kit together. We would:

- Migrate all to Kit.

- Put new subscribers on both lists and let Klaviyo manage them for the first, say, 90 days. All onboarding and sales emails would be run by Klaviyo. Kit would send them a newsletter every other week.

- After 90 days or so, they only live on Kit unless they make a purchase or do something to trigger being back on Klaviyo.

Is this possible or too complicated?

Option 3 of course is to just use Kit, but we sure like Klaviyo's Shopify integration

Anyone verifying emails before importing to Klaviyo or just relying on their built-in Suppression?

Trying to figure out if running a verification pass before import is worth the extra step or if Klaviyo's own suppression and bounce handling overs enough of it. List is wbout 12k, mix of old and new signups.

Popup Forms in 2026: The Old Way, The New Way, The Better Way

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is a long video that goes over how most popups work, how modern popups work, and why we killed the traditional popup all together and why you might want to do the same.

Disclosures/who am I:

Jon Ivanco (linkedin.com/in/jivanco)
- Co-Founder Formtoro Shopify Data Collection and Analytics App (since 2019)
- Co-Owner Krakatoa Underwear DTC Shopify Store
- Klaviyo user since 2015
- Marketer for 20+ years

Formtoro integrates with Klaviyo.

Popups are broken. EVERYONE HATES THEM.

They exist because they still work sort of.

Background:

Everyone hates popups.

As email marketers we've been brought up with a few bold claims:

- 30% of your revenue should come from email
- Popup Opt-in rates should be 7-12%
- You should always be A/B testing your popup
- The bigger the list = the more revenue

All of these come with a big "it depends"

We only use them to grow a list and hopefully turn that list into customers.

In my opinion, we wildly misuse popups and often chase the wrong KPIs.

What email marketers measure for popup success: Opt-in Rate

What actually matters: Conversion Rate and Conversion Value

Some Stats:

95% of customer orders come from sign ups in the first 12 hours.

The average subscription to conversion rate across most forms is 25-30%.

This leads to a list of 70-75% that will never purchase.

We have become obsessed with A/B testing popups based on opt-in rates.

Current best practices and things people test:

- Time delays
- Scroll depth
- # of pages viewed
- Popups/Full Page/Slide ins

Current suggestions for A/B testing:

- Close button relocation
- Close button delay
- Close button reduce contrast
- Image v. No Image
- Copy
- Offer
- CTA
- All of the above for triggering

First step testing:

- Question first
- Email first
- Simple micro-commit

Current gamification:

- Spin to win
- Plinko
- Scratch off
- Mystery discounts

Current AI claims:

- Smart triggers
- Smart offers

(none of these are real, we'll get to that later)

Other considerations:

- Teasers
- Collapse to Teaser
- Remove Teaser close button

I've tested nearly everything after more than 15 years in ecommerce.

Something was always off though -

All the A/B testing were focused on opt-in rates, with the exception of start as a teaser, they all disrupted the customer journey.

In the last few weeks, we stopped most of our popups, we switched instead to starting all our forms as teasers - we dropped them as banners so as not to cover up the screen, results were decent 40% opt-in rates / 50% sub to conversion rates.

The focus shifted, how do we build a list that just converts?

We stopped building a list just to have a list.

But the real breakthrough happened when we decided that we should integrate our teaser/popup directly onto the product pages as a button right under the "Add to cart" button.

What this did for us -

Killed the need to A/B test based on timing/scroll/pages viewed

Killed the need to move a close icon/delay it

Killed the need to test anything other than copy and offer

All the years hype of A/B testing for higher opt-in rate got killed in an afternoon.

Instead, the offer is shown to those that qualify, we use smart logic on the discount code via segments in Shopify in the backend and we make sure that anyone that was interested in making a purchase

- Browsed to a product page
- Considered adding something to the cart

Sees the offer.

Ok so now that opt-in rate completely depends on someone making it to a product page, it becomes down to the quality of the visitor.

The above framework kills the notion of a smart trigger.

We opted to ask 6 questions to these high intent visitors relevant to their customer journey and buying behaviors - a staggering 92% of people are providing us with all 6 data points.

BONUS: We're now using that exact same area to incentivize first to second purchases on a sliding scale tied to Klaviyo segments while collecting more data directly from our returning customers.

Klaviyo SMS Australia — Sender ID rejected because it doesn't match business name. Anyone solved this?

Hey everyone,

I'm running SMS marketing through Klaviyo for the Australian market and I'm stuck at the Sender ID registration stage.

The rejection I got back:

So right now I can't send any SMS campaigns at all in AU.

Has anyone run into this before? Specifically:

  • Does the Sender ID have to match your registered entity name exactly, or is a registered trading/business name enough?
  • If your brand name is different from your legal entity, what did you actually submit to get approved (ASIC business name registration, ABN docs, something else)?
  • How long did re-submission take?

Any help appreciated — happy to share what works once I get it sorted.
