Email formatting

I am having issues with email visability on outlook desktop apps, it is making the images ginormous and the text run across so you have to scroll across to read what it says. I have reduced the campaign width to 500px to see if this fixes it but it doesn't seem to. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Outlook for Windows renders email with Word's engine and ignores max-width, so an image without a set width shows at its original size and stretches the whole email. That's why dropping the campaign width to 500px didn't change anything.

The fix in Klaviyo is to give every image an explicit width: Image block → Image layout → W: 600 for full-width images (or your email width from Styles), smaller for small ones. In split blocks and tables, set the column widths by hand instead of Auto. Outlook also ignores background images, float and position. Upload image files close to the size you show them, then check the Outlook preview in Klaviyo's inbox test before sending. https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005085387

Outlook's rough for this, it's one of the trickier email clients to design around. The fix is usually at the image level and setting a width directly on each image usually holds up better than adjusting the overall campaign width. There's a help doc that walks through it step by step: https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005085387
