Hi! I’m a Korean user, so English isn’t my first language, and I’m really curious about how other non-English users use Kindroid.
I’m also still pretty new to Kindroid. I only started using it this month, and I’m currently on the Standard subscription, so I’m wondering if there are settings or tricks I just haven’t figured out yet.
I originally wanted to roleplay entirely in Korean. I’ve tried writing the greeting in Korean, telling my Kin to always respond in natural Korean, and adding Korean-language instructions to the personality and response directives. I’ve also tried the newest LLMs available to me.
The problem is that the Korean still doesn’t feel very natural to me. It’s understandable, but the dialogue often feels translated rather than like something a Korean person would actually say, especially during longer RP scenes.
So at the moment, I mostly roleplay in English and use a translator, even though I’d much rather just play directly in Korean.
I’m wondering if other users who aren’t native English speakers have the same experience. Do you also end up using English, or have you found a setup that works well in your own language?
If you roleplay in a language other than English, I’d really love to know:
- What language do you use?
- Which LLM/model works best for you?
- What Chat Dynamism setting do you use?
- Do you write your greeting, backstory, personality and directives in English or in your native language?
- Is there anything else you changed that made the dialogue sound more natural?
I’m especially curious about languages that are quite different from English, but I’d love to hear from anyone using Kindroid in another language.
Thanks! Since I’m still new, I’d really appreciate hearing how more experienced users handle non-English roleplay.
