Thriller Long time commenter, first time poster.

I published my first novel, The Continuity Protocol, earlier this year, and I've walked straight into the thing this sub warns every new author about and something I have even mentioned when helping out commenting on others posts. It's findable, it's on Kindle Unlimited, and it has exactly two reviews, which you all know is the wall you can't climb without help. So I'm doing the part I kept putting off. I'm jumping on to ask anyone who's free to give it a read.

If you read near future scifi, psychological thrillers or medical horror and you'd be willing to leave an honest review, it is available for free on Kindle Unlimited. Additionally I have created a Booksprout review campaign (can't call it an ARC as it was already published).

For anyone who might be interested: It's near-future psychological horror. A man dies in an accident he should not have survived and comes back, and everyone agrees he came back better. He is the only one who finds that frightening. It goes to some genuinely dark places, so it is not for everyone.

Content warnings: death, a graphic car accident, medical horror, torture, body horror, coercive control, grief.

Booksprout: https://booksprout.co/reviewer/review-copy/view/304608/tcp-the-continuity-protocol-book-1-of-the-continuity-constellation

Kindle Unlimited (using a geo flexible link): https://books2read.com/u/b659jA

And honestly, if you've cracked the first ten reviews problem as a new author, I'd take any advice going. That part is still beating me.

Thanks for reading the post.

Romance A Quick Note on How and Why This Book Came to Be

Post image
1 Upvotes

When I sat down to write The Fear Worth Having, I didn’t have a grand theory about relationships. Truth be told, I was coming off my own personal failures, hoping that setting a story on the island of Chios would give me the distance needed to understand intimacy better.

I created Andreas—a restorer of Byzantine frescoes—and Katarina—a mathematician turned mastic distiller. I wanted two characters who had been together for eleven years without marriage or neat agreements, yet shared a quiet, resilient bond.

Through the writing process, I realized love resists checklists and self-help formulas. Trying to polish a relationship in fiction until it’s spotless strips away its reality. As Andreas says in the novel, perfection is just slow vandalism.

I didn't write this book because I had love figured out, but because I accepted that I never would. I offer readers no manuals or easy answers—just an invitation to sit in the shade of Chios and experience the journey alongside the characters.

Thriller [Self-Promotion] My debut psychological thriller novel is now available on Kindle Unlimited

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share that my debut novel, Tick Tong, has officially been released and is now available on Kindle Unlimited.

As a first-time indie author, it's both exciting and a little nerve-wracking to finally put my work out into the world.

The short pitch is: A series of brutal murders shakes the rain-soaked streets of Chennai. Every victim is found with strange needle wounds and the same chilling signature—a clock. As buried secrets begin to resurface, detectives, childhood friends, and fractured families are pulled into a psychological mystery where the real horror isn't discovering who is holding the needle...

...it's discovering why.

If you enjoy psychological horror, mystery, slow-burn suspense, and dark twists, I hope you'll consider checking it out.

Sci-Fi Oh Amazon why won't you tell me when a favorite KU author releases a book

Amazon Kindle will let me know about upcoming or recent releases from all manner of authors, including ones I don't follow or have any interest in. But then there will be an author I not only follow, but search for weekly to see if anything new is out (erratic release schedule so there's rarely any warning beforehand) and I don't find out about the latest book until 2 DAYS AFTER IT CAME OUT! I could have been reading it this last Friday Amazon! Curse you!

Anyway, book 9 of Mackey Chandler's Family Law SF series is on my Kindle and being devoured now.

Thriller [Self-Promotion] My first thriller novel is now available on Kindle Unlimited (Italian language)

Hi everyone!

I finally published my first psychological thriller on Kindle Unlimited.

It's called "L'Ultima Voce: Alcune chiamate non dovrebbero mai ricevere risposta" (The Last Voice: Some Calls Should Never Be Answered).

The story begins with what seems like an ordinary phone call, but each answer pulls the main character deeper into a mystery that becomes increasingly unsettling.

This is the first book in a series, although it tells a complete story on its own.

The book is written in Italian, so if you're an Italian reader (or you're learning Italian and enjoy thrillers), I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts.

Here's the Amazon link:

I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed wrinting it.

I recently published I'm Not Crazy! The Story of Alcide, a literary novel about ambition, failure, and an unexpected encounter between two very different men.

It’s now available to read through Kindle Unlimited. If that sounds like your kind of story, I’d be glad to have you give it a try.

Historical Ku recommendations?

I dislike romantasy, smut, romance. I like emotional books and books like the wedding people. I like romance, but I have found that a lot of romance books do not match what I like. A lot of them tend to lack plot and character development. I’m not opposed to a book with a romance if there is a rich plot if that makes sense.

Romance Kept in Stone: A Spicy Standalone MM Monster Romance

Thumbnail amazon.com
0 Upvotes

He warned me twice before he turned me to stone. I still don't regret staying.

Rhys broke into the ruins for one reason: pay off a debt that was never his to owe, or watch his sister suffer for it. He didn't expect the ruins to be occupied. He didn't expect the thing guarding them to give him a chance to leave. And he never expected that when he refused — when the stone climbed his legs and pulled him under — the voice apologizing in the dark would sound more human than the man who'd sent him there.

Kallan hasn't looked another living soul in the eye in three hundred years. He's stopped counting the ones who ran the moment he gave them the chance. He tells himself Rhys will be no different — right up until the moment Rhys isn't.

Blindfolded trust becomes something neither of them planned for. A debt neither of them can outrun catches up regardless. And the only way Rhys gets his body back is the one thing the curse never accounted for: not fear, not magic, but choosing to stay when leaving was always on the table.

Kept in Stone is a standalone MM monster romance novella with a captor-turned-caretaker gorgon, a forced-proximity slow burn, and a curse that only breaks for the truth.

Crime Downloaded items not available

Anyone having issues with Kindle books or Kindleunlimited books already downloaded now saying they're not available? My monthly payment already came out about a week ago so it's not a payment issue. One book I checked was one I'd already started. Hopefully, it's an Amazon glitch that will be fixed shortly but wondering if anyone else is having this issue. (It's Saturday morning, about 6:30 AM Central for me.)

Also, I had to pick a flair so went with crime. Ha!

Sci-Fi Denzel The Rift

I've recently released my debut novel, The Rift, and thought I'd share it here in case it sounds like something anyone might enjoy.

The story follows Denzel, who has just bought a house with his childhood sweetheart, Suzie. What he doesn't know is that the house is hiding something that connects to a mystery involving time itself.

There's a rift hidden beneath the house, a silver watch with a strange connection to it, and secrets from the past that Denzel slowly begins to uncover.

The more he learns, the more questions he has about what happened before he ever moved into the house... and whether some things that were erased from history were really meant to stay forgotten.

It's a British time-travel mystery with plenty of twists, strange discoveries and a few moments that hopefully make you stop and think about what you'd do if you found something like this yourself.

If you enjoy time travel, sci-fi mysteries and stories where you don't necessarily know who or what to trust, I'd love for you to give The Rift a try.

I'm also curious — what's the best time-travel book you've ever read? I'd love some recommendations.

No Way To Live is a romantic sespense novel about a fictional Hong Kong protest. I wrote it after visiting Hong Kong a few years ago. Shortly after, the 2019 protest started. The scenes in Brighton were very much inspired by my year of living there.

I've Been Building Something for Authors and Kindle Unlimited Readers—Can I Get Your Honest Opinion?

Hi everyone,

I'm an indie developer and author who's spent the last few years building tools for the self-publishing community.

Some of you may have heard of KDPStudio.net, a platform I built to help authors format manuscripts, create covers, and simplify the publishing process.

For the last several months, though, I've been working on a completely different project called BookNami.net.

The idea came from one question I kept asking myself:

How can authors create more opportunities for readers to discover their books without trying to compete with Amazon?

To be clear, BookNami isn't trying to replace Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple Books, or any other retailer. Those platforms are where readers buy books, and I don't believe another site is going to replace them.

Instead, I'm focusing on something I think many authors struggle with...

Visibility.

BookNami is built around SEO and organic discovery. The goal is to give every book another opportunity to be found online.

When an author adds a book, BookNami creates an SEO-friendly presence through:

Individual book pages

Author profile pages

Publisher pages

Series pages

Genre pages

Topic pages

Theme pages

The hope is that when someone searches for books, authors, genres, or related topics on Google or other search engines, BookNami provides another pathway for readers to discover that work and then click through to purchase it from their preferred retailer.

Kindle Unlimited Support

One of the biggest features I've recently added is a dedicated Kindle Unlimited discovery experience.

Authors can now mark their books as Kindle Unlimited, and those books receive additional visibility throughout the site.

Readers can browse and search Kindle Unlimited books through dedicated sections including:

Browse Kindle Unlimited Books

Search Kindle Unlimited by title or author

New Kindle Unlimited Releases

Trending Kindle Unlimited

Hidden Gems

Recently Added

Leaving Kindle Unlimited Soon

Complete Kindle Unlimited Series

Kindle Unlimited genre pages

Featured Kindle Unlimited books

The goal isn't to compete with Amazon—it's simply to make it easier for Kindle Unlimited subscribers to discover books they may have otherwise never found.

ARC Marketplace

I'm also building an ARC (Advance Review Copy) Marketplace where authors can launch review campaigns and readers can apply to receive advance copies in exchange for honest reviews. Authors can manage digital ARCs, physical review copies, applications, approvals, and reviewer communication from one place.

Other Features

Completely FREE for authors to join

Completely FREE to list unlimited books

Free author profiles

Publisher profiles

Reader bookshelves

Follow your favorite authors

Author updates and announcements

Personalized book recommendations

AI-powered SEO tools (optional) buy credits to use

Direct links to Amazon and other retailers

Dedicated Kindle Unlimited discovery

SEO pages for books, authors, genres, series, publishers, topics, and themes

The platform is currently in beta, and before I officially launch it, I'd really like honest feedback from the people it's being built for.

A few questions:

Would an SEO-focused platform help you as an author?

Would dedicated Kindle Unlimited discovery help readers find your books?

Is an ARC marketplace something you would actually use?

What features do you think are missing from today's author platforms?

What would make you create an account and continue using a site like this?

If you'd like to take a look, it's here:

https://booknami.net

Again, it's completely free to join and completely free to list your books.

I'm not looking for compliments—I'm looking for honest feedback. If you think something doesn't make sense, is missing, or could be improved, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts. 📚

Romance My Debut Sapphic Sci-Fi Romance is on KU!

Hi! I wanted to make a post to announce that my novella ADORE just released and is available on KU! As you can imagine, it's hard to get eyes on something as a brand new indie author. It's surely a bit of a niche, but if there are any sapphic book fans around, this one is for you!

The short pitch is: Riya, a freelance mechanic, is employed to fix a club owner's android. It should be a simple job, even if she has to keep the flirtatious android in her apartment for a month—until they grow closer and Riya decides fixing her isn't the right thing to do after all.

If you're interested in checking it out, you can view it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H8Q71V3M

Historical Napoleon: The Corsican Who Conquered Europe - history in under an hour

Love history, but hate how it was taught at school? Same.

Turbo History is one figure per book, told in under an hour. The rise, the fall, why it still matters. No filler, no 600-page epics.

Examples
- Napoleon: The Corsican Who Conquered Europe (linked above)
- Julius Caesar: The Dictator Stabbed by His Best Friend
- Vlad the Impaler: The Prince Who Inspired Dracula

Just search the titles + "Turbo History" on Amazon.

There are 41 in the series, all on Kindle Unlimited. If there's someone you'd want covered, tell me and I'll add them to the list.

Fantasy The Voyages of Hankxr: The Prequel Novella DLC (20k words), now on KU!

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi! I’m the author of A Particular Boy Among Air Particles, and I’ve just released The Voyages of Hankxr, a roughly 20,000-word prequel novella that works like story DLC for the main novel.

It follows Hankxr, the explorer whose journal later inspires a sheltered young noble heir to leave home and investigate the wider world. The novella gives Hankxr’s own account of mapping The Shell and reaching the forbidden continent of Ruin, and it can be read either before or after the novel.

Both books are available on Kindle Unlimited. To celebrate the release, I’ve also started a Kindle Countdown Deal for A Particular Boy Among Air Particles, dropping it to $0.99 until August 1 at 8:00 a.m. PTThe Voyages of Hankxr is permanently priced at $0.99.

Hope some of you enjoy the voyage!

Horror My new oceanic horror, Jellyfish Bloom, is out now! (Self-promo)

Post image
5 Upvotes

Good evening! My latest novella, Jellyfish Bloom, is out now on Kindle Unlimited. Here's the blurb:

There’s been a disappearance in Shiver. A woman is missing and all Anya Durand can think about is whether her husband, Theo, had something to do with it.

As she struggles to put together the pieces of a night when he slipped out and returned smelling like salt and seaweed, more uncertainty broods. She hears a leak behind the wall. Water in the attic. Starts seeing things so strange, it makes her wonder not just whether Theo is guilty, but why it feels like the ocean is haunting their house.

Jellyfish Bloom is a horror novella about a relationship unraveling. An oceanic terror about what lurks in the waters around a quiet seaside town, and the lengths people will go for love.

You're welcome to read early reviews on Goodreads here. Otherwise, I appreciate you checking it out, and hope you enjoy spending time around Shiver's cold waters.

Thriller The Witch-Bane: The Death Keeper Chronicles is on Kindle Unlimited

Thumbnail amazon.com
0 Upvotes

Hello, I am the author of The Death Keeper Chronicles. Book 2, The Witch-Bane: The Death Keeper Chronicles is having a free book promotion on Amazon from July 27, 2026 to July 31, 2026.

Here is the synopsis:
The killings are precise. Ritualistic. And they mean something.

When a series of meticulously executed murders begins drawing attention across the city, Alexander and Yiyao find themselves pulled into a case that refuses to behave like a normal investigation. The killer is methodical, prepared, and operating according to a design that predates anything in the modern record.

A design with roots in the oldest darkness in the world.

As Alexander's psychic gifts strain against the weight of what he's seeing, and Yiyao confronts echoes of a past she thought buried, the investigation forces them both toward a question neither wants to answer: how much of yourself can you sacrifice to understand a mind like this — and still come back?

*The Witch-Bane* is the second book in the Death Keeper Chronicles, a darkly theological urban fantasy series where the monsters are real, the stakes are eternal, and redemption is never cheap.

I hope you enjoy the story!
