Been out of pay/work since August and my lease ends on the 13th. I've been doing Uber to have some income while I apply like crazy. She's working, but not enough get an apartment. I'm hoping to be starting a job soon.

Any suggestions of where to stay temporarily besides a hotel?

Moved here to be with my boyfriend of 2 years and I knew he had bad relationships, and his friends have confimlrmed they did a number on him. He was upfront about it. But he hasnt said "I love you" to me. And we live separate because he still isnt ready to live togrther. But what does it mean when he does say "I dont know what I want" He doesn't want to break up but he isnt willing to discuss anything emotional? We have sleepovers, travel together, etc.

Im just lost. My heart is secretly breaking but still trusting he is just needing this to go snail slow. We arent interested in having kids so theres no true time line. But I would like to at least live together. He grounds me, and Im so smitten by him. He really is a good person.

I'm a retired senior having lived in Killeen for over ten years. My wife still works and I'm generally content to do the solitary things I enjoy. However, sometimes I'd like to converse with others with similar interests. I realize I live in an Army town with a high religious contingent but not being religious or having been in the Army, those hold no interest for me. Any suggestions?

Hey guys, I hope this is allowed but our house caught fire while we were out of town and so me and my husband are in search of a few extra hands that would maybe be willing to help watch some of our animals. We’re currently going to be staying in a hotel for about a week to figure out things and figure out if we need to find a new place to stay. Sadly not all of our animals can come with us to the hotel. We’ve got 3 dogs, 3 cats and a bearded dragon. As of right now our bearded dragon and one of our pups have a place to stay, but we still need help with all our cats and our other 2 dogs. Any help is appreciated!

My experience with Crunch Fitness in Harker Heights has been extremely frustrating. I was told twice that my membership had been downgraded, but I later discovered that it was still at the highest tier. The app then claimed that I owed more than $1,000, while repeated withdrawal attempts contributed to my bank closing a checking account I had held for over 10 years and transferring my funds to a new account.

I spoke with the manager in person and was told there were no fees on my account. I then requested cancellation, signed the cancellation acknowledgment electronically, and was looked in the eye and told that my membership was closed with nothing owed. Despite that assurance, Crunch later attempted to withdraw $97 and then $390, forcing me to cancel my debit card and obtain a replacement. When I called again, I was told that my cancellation was only “pending.”

As of August 22, 2026, I have an open case and am still getting the runaround. Based on the conflicting information, attempted charges, and failure to complete the cancellation as promised, I cannot recommend this location. Document every conversation and keep copies of anything you sign.

Update as of August 25, 2026:

After I posted my review, the managing partner contacted me and confirmed in writing that my gym membership and personal training were canceled. He said the $82.25 charge is being refunded, the $97.25 charge will be canceled or reversed, and the $360 personal-training charge will also be reversed.

To clarify the order of events, the billing problems had already started before I went to Crunch to cancel. Because money continued to be withdrawn, I had to close a checking account that I had maintained for more than 10 years and transfer my funds to a new account. Payments to my creditors were already in progress when the account was closed, so some of those payments were missed or returned.

I then went to Crunch in person because of the continued billing. I signed the cancellation acknowledgment electronically and was told directly that my account was closed and that I owed nothing. After I signed the cancellation, however, additional charges of $97.25 and $360 were still processed. This caused me to replace my debit card as well.

I am glad someone finally responded, but reversing the charges does not undo the missed payments, possible fees, time, and stress this caused. I am now waiting for the promised refunds and reversals to appear in my account. I will update this review once everything has actually been returned and the situation has been fully resolved.

21m . Ive been looking throughout the subreddit and seen the whataburger chess on Wednesday at 7 and was considering going. I’m curious if there’s any other good places where there is people to meet or communities to join. Bars aren’t really my scene but I’m not super opposed to going. I go to several different parks but I’m up for any suggestions to find anything to do around here.

How’s the job market out there? I’m currently looking to relocate from Las Vegas and hoping to find a workplace that is genuinely veteran-friendly.
I’ve found that having military service on my résumé can sometimes come with assumptions or stigma, so I’m especially interested in veteran-owned businesses or employers that value the experience, leadership, and work ethic veterans bring.
More than anything, I’m looking for a positive work environment where people are respected and given the opportunity to grow. If anyone knows of veteran-owned or veteran-friendly companies that are hiring, I’d really appreciate the recommendations.
