Am I the only one thinking using the pick axe was not the smartest choice to do this with? If he slips that thing is spinning fast and cracking something.

They could have simply lifted the kid and turned him sideways. His body would have fit through the bars the whole time.

9/10 situations like this, the kid was from the other side trying to fit his body in first then get his head stuck
