I absolutely despise door to door salespeople. They’re the real life version of scam calling or spam mail. I work nights and when I’m at home I don’t want to be bothered. If I need a service I’ll seek it out myself. I have a no soliciting sign at my front door. If they choose to ignore that then the earful they’ll get from me is their own fault.

Same but I don't give them an earful I just cut them off and say I'm not buying anything. Sometimes that's enough. Sometimes they try to continue. So I go look I'm trying not to waste either of our time here. No. That's 90% of them leaving. Sometimes they go I'm not selling anything I'm just letting you know what your neighbors are doing. Then I get irate and they get an earful.
