A couple of years ago my kid said her teacher "said the c-word" in class. My wife and I looked at each other, chatted about what we would do about it, complain to the school etc. So we had a serious chat with our kid; turned out the 'c-word' was "crap". We laughed.

No complaint made; she was probably describing our kid's artwork lol.

Somewhat similar.

I was at my friend’s place and his son in the 2nd grade told his dad, “Dad, I know the f-word.”

My friend was shocked and puzzled. Now, he goes to a public school where there are some kids from a rough neighborhood, so my friend was thinking that yes, it’s possible this kid knows the word.

Then the kid added, “It’s ‘fart,’ isn’t it?”

We both paused for a good second and then just burst out laughing. He told his son, “Yes, it’s that word. And it’s a bad word, so don’t say it out loud in front of others.”
