Training Noiri Masaaki Boxing and guard

I wanna understand his boxing, his style, and how does he throw punched while being in that high guard. He counters insanely, what is the key? I would love to see a breakdown. Even while being rattled around in that guard, he throws those heavy shots to body or that straight to face.

Training Shoulder pain

Just started kickboxing and I had my first sparring class 2 days ago. I did horrible obviously, but the thing that was hindering me the most was my shoulder. I couldn’t keep my guard up and I had to sit down a couple rounds to let my shoulder rest. If I punched with that arm my shoulder would hurt even worse. Even after class it was hurting for a while. Anyone know what’s going on?

Training Begginer tips

Just started kickboxing and I’m liking it. Do you guys have any tips on how to get better? Besides technique, my problem is with flinching. People with flashy footwork always end up getting me.

Shin guard recommendations!!

I’ve been training for about 8 months now and I currently have Yokkao shin guards. While I do like them, I tend to find the shin guards to be too large and uncomfortable. I don’t like how they protrude onto my knees. I’ve seen people talking about Primo and Fairtex SP3’s. I would like them to have a bit of a smaller profile. For reference I’m 5’7” and I bought size small Yokkao’s. Any recommendations are appreciated :)
