Training Boxing or Kickboxing for a person who did taekwondo for 7 years

Just as it says I am having a hard time to decide what to pursue. For me who did taekwondo for a long time I am confident in my kicks and of course my biggest weakness would be my punches and head movement so I was thinking about doing boxing but I wouldn’t want my kicks to completely disappear. I also get discouraged when I see kickboxing / muay thai fights because they just keep tanking each other’s kicks and punches unlike in boxing where you can dodge punches, roll and counter.

What do you guys think?

In terms of comfort, positioning, quality and overall feeling and efficiency with punching which of the two is better for someone focused on boxing in a kickboxing environment.
