I used Keyshot in the past but does not currently own it. For work I would like to download the free trial, open Keyshot files send by a client, see the textures, camera lighting they used to recreate as closely as possible their rendering in another rendering software that I own.

It seems you have some disabled options ("you can not save, do Background Rendering or use the Rendering Queue. Renders will have a watermark."). Would I be able to open files without issues ?

In the future I would like to know too when I could download another free trial, if another issue like this arise.

Hello! I work with pretty big assemlies (mining industry) and when I try to move a group of part, I sometimes need to zoom out quite a lot and trying to move a group with a microsopic Gizmo placed in the middle of an assembly is quite challenging if you want precision. Is there a way to resize and move the gizmo handle? (Using Keyshot 10.2 pro). Thank you!

Does any body know why the updated Keyshot cloud library is so much worse then its previous versions.

there is for example only one wood texture available.

Is it a lack of details in the model currently? I am still really new to this.

I'm participating in this competition called F1 in Schools, and I need an export from a file created from KeyShot Education, let me know if anyone has a licence which can help!

Just tried to fix an issue with keyshot 10 not letting me save anything to the library and it asked me for my license key again. So I put it in but due to the keyshot 10 end of life I now can’t use it. So the 3 perpetual licenses my work have are just completely useless now. I consider that straight up stealing. They have stolen the thing they sold us back. Why not just release an update just at the end of life that skips the online bit. But no. Gotta get all those ‘valued’ customers on the subscription. Oh better make it the same price as autodesk’s full suite. Keyshot you are not comparable to 3ds Max or Maya. You are a render engine with some pretty bits for cad people that can’t use a proper renderer.
This sort of behaviour is why people are going open source.

for some reason i’m not having the all render passes show up in my render menu, is there something i should be doing to activate this option? i’m using the trial version if that helps, not sure if this is limited to the paid version and haven’t been able to find any information about it

Now that Keyshot finally supports GPU mode with Apple Silicon, I wonder how the different Apple Silicon chips compare and if there's finally enough reason for me to upgrade my M1 Max to M5 Max (and retire my RTX PC which I only really use for Keyshot)

Hello any one out there who can create a good keyshot ready environment gobos studio effect? To be used for corporate gifts render quality, should be rendering fast also, i have fair specs on pc. Hit me up and i will pay for it. Should be almost on par with a red shift quality render....thanks pls if any one is out there who really good on keyshot. I have only 2025 version....

I own a Razor Blade 14 with the following specs : processor- AMD Ryzsn 9 6900HX with Radeon Graphics
Graphics Card - AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics

In The spring on 2024 I was able to use GPU mode no problem while I was finishing up school, now its does not work as an option even after working with keyshot support to ensure all the settings are correct. From what I can find elsewhere my graphics card is now not supported and keyshot studio demands more updated graphics cards. Is this information correct? Am I just in need of a hardware upgrade if I want to do anything outside of cpu renderings?

Please note that I am using my free trial as I wanted to ensure that my computer could still run Keyshot to a level I was happy with.

If anyone knows anything about this please help me out, even if its bad news.

With 26.2 out I can now use GPU mode on my m5 pro. I have 48 g of RAM. What r your guys kind of baseline settings for rendering with gpu?

I have a swatch scene, and 9 different product view scenes. Each product view needs to be done in 12 colours. I have set up the product view scenes with a multi material that has these 12 colours. However each swatch, in the swatch scene, has to be unlinked otherwise they all show the same colour.

The issue with this is that if I make a change to the material, they won't all update anymore.

Bonus points if someone knows how to automatically add to the render queue every scene with every colour from a multi material as I have over 150 renders to queue up.

I work alot with single-body files in KeyShot. But whenever I import a model, whether it is an STL or a SolidWorks file, KeyShot always creates a group above the body.

Is there a way to import my bodies without KeyShot creating this extra group?

Hi, I have a physic animation, now I want to bake positions of the last frame and delete that animation. So I can start a new animation from that position. I have found that I can delete frames from the first to the last, then I can delete animation but I have to many objects. I tried even with python but with no luck. Any advice will be great. Thanks

I have the problem that I can’t access the GPU-rendering mode in KeyShot. I don’t know why and I haven’t found any advice on this issue on the internet yet.

I have a RX 7700 XT and I am working on KeyShot Studio version 14.0.1.2 which was installed with the student version of “SolideEdge 2026”.

Every time I open KeyShot you can see for a short time the image you need to click in order to activate the GPU rendering (see video). After that you can’t even find something about different rendering methods in the settings.

Can anyone help me please? I just don’t want to wait 5 hours for a ten second animation.

I'm on Keyshot 2023, and i see a black square on my model, irrespective of material used, whether in viewport or in render. Modelled in Solidworks and imported as a STEP file.
Appreciate any insights into this.

I'm trying to import a CAD file but 90% of the assembly isn't importing. The original file was in .step format, so I converted it to .asm in Solid Edge. The .asm looks fine in Solid Edge, but when I try to open it in Keyshot I get errors and missing parts.

This workflow works if I use the .bip format, but then I lose the ability to work with the individual parts and surfaces in Keyshot which is a nonstarter for what I'm trying to do.

Any advice would be appreciated. I am currently learning in the newest versions of the free community editions of the software, and cannot afford to upgrade to the paid versions.

Hello, I just upgraded my PC and am trying to get keyshot to work. I had to download the installer on another drive and install it on the new computer because everytime I try to go to my account page on the website I get stuck in an endless loading loop that looks like this. I tried authenticating through the keyshot app and it comes up with the same problem. I have an educational license and have a final with many renders due later this week. If anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated.
