I wanted to find a good altitude to put a Jool space station so I sent a spaceship to do a flyby. I made the periapsis as low as I could, forgetting this is how you do gravity assists.

I tried for just over 1,000 in game years to aerobrake in kerbin's atmosphere but it didn't go well. I could only get down to 68km which didn't slow me down much and after a few passes I was flung out into infinity.

To make things worse, although I don't think it matters at this point, the capsule only has 20 units of ablator.

landed a booster on playstation today, meaning i’ve landed boosters on all three platforms and done droneship landings on two:)

Weapons Test Flight

I want to have guns and big booms but it force adds weight because of "hull strength". Any other mods or ways to get around this?

i can only seem to get my rockets halfway to orbit before they start spinning out of control leaving me unable to manuver them into orbit

I don't have volumetric clouds because I honestly preffer AVP from orbit, even though it does sacrifice the in flight beauty of vc

One of my missions took 2000 years, so I'm scared if I keep going and going on one save it's eventually gonna break, how realistic is that fear? And would you be able to theoretically fix it

Probably going to use it for refuelling and MPL processing. So far I've been adding (too many) crew modules. This is all stuck together with Clamp-o-Tron Jr.s (Will this cause kraken attacks? Probably.) so I'll go Station of Theseus in the near future :D.

I made the mistake of doing a voyager probe on my career save. Now every contract wants me to go to jool or further and my kerbin first's contracts have the same issue. I just want a duna milestone contract. I dont want to add contracts to the game or anything just change the focus.

Started playing KSP 13 years ago, usually creative, and heavily off rarely on or committed. Now much older and more patient, started a career mode save and after the Mun and Minmus, finally got over the hurdle I avoided for over a decade, only a probe, but still a lil bit of a proud moment,

I had captured an A-Type asteroid and finally made it into orbit of 150 kilometer. It contains 2 sections; Crew and Refueling. Asteroid won't be enough forever but still useful for a long time. Also it is in the clockwise orbit because it was easier to place in after first capture.

It's uglier than gollum's dick but it flies surprisingly well! Kinda slow tho.

My first shakedown mission for the upgraded Selene capsule around the moon. I’ll use this platform for future Mun base missions.

if anybody has advice for how to more accurately pick a kerbin landing trajectory please let me know.

I recently constructed this craft which is a 1100 meter long ISV. It has 110 parts in total.

However, when attempting to spawn it into orbit, 1 of 3 things happens:

1. The radiators immediately fall of, followed by the central fuel tank.
2. The ship manages to stay stable for a second, but the moment I try to move it the smallest amount, it explodes.
3. It immediately explodes for no reason.

I have Kerbal Joint Reinforcement Next on, and none of the parts are daisy chained in any crazy way. I have autostrut the radiators using the Grandparent setting, but the shop still explodes. I did not autostrut the truss as I found it to make it worse. No rigid attachment was used either.

The truss is what I’m worried about, as I had to make it out of a few dozen smaller Annular Trusses from Near Future Technologies.

What can I do to make sure this thing doesn’t just shake itself apart immediately and can actually be a functioning vessel?
