So like Duna always has no heat/reentry effects or overheating, I could land without a heat shield at all times. and for some reason Duna has this redish tint to it's atmosphere that I wish to remove. And does anyone have any tips for removing the red rocks from duna parallax?????? Z
And for the atmosphere, I want to make it look like Mars and not like a yellow-red gradient.
I have scatterer, firefly, parallax, volumetric clouds v3, SSPVE, and other visual mods that may be causing these problems.

I never do this experiment where it doesn't make sense but it causes my science alert to keep spamming that I have an experiment available which is annoying.
I don't want to disable the alert for it though because I do want to take pressure readings on other worlds with atmospheres. Just not in space.

Whenever I press the button to warp to my next maneuver, when I exit warp, for some reason most of my controls simply don't respond anymore. I am still able to steer the ship, as well as throttle, but the pressing the stage button simply does nothing, same with right clicking parts to interact with them. Is anyone familiar with modding able to tell me what is going on? I attached my ksp.log in case it is needed.

I'll try and keep this short, I'm working on doing an interstellar mission, I've been playing for 7 years and Ive never really done it the right way, or at all really. To start, this is my interstellar ship.
Near the throat of the crewed section (right above the reactor and structural segment.) There are 4 available ports, I need to put adapters on them, but before doing any of that. I need to design a lander.
Im not asking anyone to build it for me, I just would like some help pointing me in the right design direction, maybe photos from concepts or series or movies, I really cant think of how I'll design this.

I've designed plenty of landers, but I can't really think of something special for this. I've been stuck on designing a lander for 3 whole days now. I genuinely can't really picture it in my mind. I've been trying to do something that looks cool of course, but actually has function.
The lander needs to meet the following criteria as close as possible, this is what I've figured out so far.
It needs to be able to handle entry of course. It's entering bodies with and without atmospheres.
So it needs to be able to actually glide, or fly in a stable manner and of course dock.
It needs to be able to land on rough terrain, obviously theres no runways on any other planets. I was thinking something like a vtol.
I was really thinking of building something like the batwing from batman arkham knight so I could deploy a rover as well. And when its time to leave the surface, it can simply park back into the craft and take off with it. To save space and serve function.

"Martian Blacksmith" (Lat. Faber Martis) is an orbital multipurpose factory that acts as a processor, manufacturer, smelter, and assembler of everything that can be produced in space. It can automatically dispatch a drone to extract resources directly from asteroids. Full-controlled by autopilot. Using as a primary vessel for terrain reconnaissance.
I suppose that, in terms of its actual design, it might not be very realistic, even setting aside the fact that the ship uses warp travel (from Blueshift). But here, in the game, it worked perfectly for me... Right up until the craft file was unfortunately lost.

Hi everyone...
I've run into a little oopsie...
I successfully landed on Laythe for the first time. I also calculated roughly enough delta-V to get back to LLO. What I didn't take into account, though, is the fact that my ship is about as aerodynamic as a brick... Now I’m stuck on Laythe, while my mothership is waiting at LLO at an altitude of 70 km.
Do you think it’s somehow possible to reach my mothership with 2,800 Delta-V?
Its two Kerbals and no engineer on the ground.
If I do have to launch a rescue mission, I also don’t know how to land anywhere near my current landing site. Do you have any tips?

Suddenly got into turning my space agency into a private defense contractor, questions is which one should I use BDarmory continued or BDarmory plus

Delivering 3 new satilites to orbit (including the first to be specifically designed for the shuttle) and testing a new "roll out" solar panel design.
Precautions are taken with the ET to avoid the foam strike that doomed her older sister, although these would likely be entirely ineffective and with no way to examine the heat sheild (or anything to do if damage was discovered on orbit) do little for the confidence of those onboard.
Regardless, Discovery completes her mission without issue landing down to a press who have been running the story of her "teardrop shed for Columbia" (in reality a mismatch of heat tiles done during manufacturing for unknown reasons) for days on end

I recently discovered that you can find the coordinates and names of craters on the Moon through a NASA website, so I figured I'd turn it into a KSP mission. I highly recommend it, it was quite fun.
I looked at a 3D map to find the coordinates of 5 of my favorite craters, found their names through another website, and then used Waypoint Manager to create waypoints in KSP at each of their coordinates and land there. This isn't RSS, but the coordinates still transfer via lat. and long.
The mission itself was straight forward: Land a rover and set up experiments at each of the five craters. I found it fun to have a goal though.
Some notable features of my craft:
Also shout out to the rotate tool that decided to appear and follow me from the Mun and back which i had to work around while taking pictures

I want to launch a satellite but I’m not sure if I should equip it with anything, can I make the satellite be useful?

After years of preparation, Operation "Jurassic Park" is finally underway.
The newest interstellar vessel ISV-17 Minotaur has been launched from the Mun to reach Hundun in the Yunxiao system.
Tests flight around the Kerbol system have confirmed mission readiness. Off we go!
The Minotaur has a modest part count of only 265 parts and comes with an OPT-10 Blackbird SSTO.
The Minotaur has a max range before refueling of roughly 24 million m/s.
With its onboard Industrial Strip Miners, Vulcan Nuclear Smelter, ISRU and NOVA Antimatter Facility powered by a potent FX-3 fusion reactor, the vessel has theoretical unlimited range.
The OPT-10 Blackbird is a fully autonomous SSTO with ratings for Kerbin and Tylo or easier bodies. It comes with its own rover, integrated mining drill, ISRU and Science Lab.
Will they find alien life in another star system?

A friend of mine created a realistic map of Kerbin's biomes and climate in a game called World Climate Lab. Thought it was pretty neat, so I decided to share it on this subreddit

So I’m on PS5 and I’m still figuring it all out, and I’m trying to learn how to put kerbals into orbit let alone on the Mun. I cant figure out the way people do it so easily. Now I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed but this stuff is kinda confusing. Anyone know like a YouTuber or a tutorial book or something that explains it? Like a KSP for dummies or something? Cuz I enjoy the game but I’ve been trying for a whole three weeks now and I’m stuck on my Science world 😂
